CHRIS CHE DEAGUERO, 29, of La Puebla died Sunday. He was employed by Horizon Utility in Santa Fe. He loved the outdoors, horseback riding, skiing and motorcycles. He was a guide for hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his first cousins, Rudy and Anthony Abeyta.
He is survived by his daughter, Elenna Ann DeAguero of Chamita; parents, Cecilio and Karon De Aguero; sister, Carrie Ann DeAguero; close nephew, Justin Chris DeAguero; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Rock Church in Española.

RAYMOND "EDWARD" ESPINOSA, 38, died Nov. 11 in Ranchitos after a short illness. He was a 1983 graduate of Española Valley High School. He was employed with Los Alamos County for 20 years, where he was a former supervisor for the Los Alamos Parks and Recreation Department. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and was a Denver Broncos fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Eddie Espinosa. He is survived by his wife, Corina Espinosa; mother, Mabel Espinosa-Romero of El Llano; daughters, Andrea and Monica Espinosa; sisters, Felicia Martinez and husband Byron of Chimayó and Kimberly Rae Herrera and husband Jimmy; brother, Shawn Matthew Espinosa and wife June, all of El Llano; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services have been held.

GABRIEL A. FRESQUEZ, 24, of Los Luceros died on Friday following injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
He was a student at Northern New Mexico Community College.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Anthony Fresquez.
He is survived by his parents, Cindy Fresquez and David Maestas; brother, Johnny Fresquez and girlfriend Theresa Ocaña, sisters, DeAndra Fresquez and Sara Maestas, stepsisters, Camille Maestas of Albuquerque and Micaela and Katherine Maestas, both of Chamita; stepbrother, Angelo Maestas; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at San Juan Pueblo Catholic Church with burial to follow at the La Villita Catholic Cemetery.

THERESA M. GARCIA, 79, of Santa Fe died Sunday after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 17, 1923, to Eugene and Helen With.
She retired from Mountain Bell in 1982 and enjoyed her retirement fishing, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. Casa Real Nursing Facility was her home for the past two years. She will be missed by so many people, including staff from Casa Real. She loved life and was an inspiration to all who knew the pain and suffering she endured due to her illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Garcia Sr.; brother Ralph With; and her fishing buddy, Caroline Travis. She is survived by her son, Arthur Garcia Jr. and wife Irene; daughter Martha Griego and husband Mike; brother, Tony With; sisters, Helen Williams and Donna Martinez; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins 6 p.m. today with a 7 p.m rosary at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated on 9 a.m. Wednesday at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.

WALTER J. HATCHER, 85, formerly of Brookfield, Conn., and Stamford, Conn., died on Thursday at El Castillo Retirement Residences in Santa Fe.
He was the human resources manager for Doman Helicopters and Sperry Rail Services in Danbury, Conn. He moved on to Pitney Bowes as manager of human resources. He was a board member of President Reagan's Grace Commission. For the last 15 years of his career he was world-wide director of industrial relations and assistant to the chairman of the board of directors of Pitney Bowes. In Connecticut, he was a Lion, and president of Danbury Lions Club. He was president of the Connecticut Personnel Association, and the Personnel Association of Southwest Conn.; president of the Industrial Relations Council of Connecticut.; board member of the National Association of Manufacturers; president of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Lung Association and president of the American Lung Association. He was active in New Mexico on the Community Advisory Board at KNME-TV; steering committee at the Greer Garson Theater, College of Santa Fe; Santa Fe Desert Chorale; joint committee of respiratory therapy; board president at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian; and president of El Castillo Residents Association.
He was a "one-dollar-a-year" president of Jobs Inc., a community organization for the training and placement of disadvantaged persons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hatcher; and daughter, Elizabeth Hatcher.
He is survived by his sons, Walter J. Hatcher III, and wife Virginia of Bridgewater, Conn., and Robert E. Hatcher; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service and reception will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the community room at El Castillo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Walter J. Hatcher, c/o The American Lung Assoc. of Connecticut, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.

ERCILIA E. MARTINEZ, 78, of Questa died Saturday.
She was an administrative secretary for Sen. Dennis Chavez in Washington, D.C., and retired from the New Mexico state government.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Amarante and Maria Elena Martinez; and brothers, the Rev. Armando Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Orlando Martinez and Nicolas Martinez.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Manzanares and wife Menice of Los Cordovas; brother, Jose Amarante Martinez Jr. of Madisonville, Ky.; sisters, Filia Higgins of Santa Fe, Alma Martinez of Albuquerque and Stella Ortega of Taos.
Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. today at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos with burial to follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Questa.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Simodocea Valdez, Rafaelita Martinez, Amelia Martinez and Tonita Herrera; brothers, Aniceto, Nicolas, Arquin, Eloy and Amado Martinez.
He is survived by his sister, Lena Archuleta of Santa Fe; brother, Rosendo Martinez and wife Juanita of El Guique; and many other relatives and friends.
