JOHN J. URANGA, 53, of Santa Fe died Saturday. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. today at New Life Family Fellowship, 1612 Pacheco St., followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge, 1615 Old Pecos Trail. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the New Mexico Cancer Institute. La Paloma Funeral Home, 983-2555.

CLEO DEAGUERO, 73, of Española died Thursday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Josilado DeAguero; infant daughter; parents, Pacomio and Joliana Barela; and brother, Filadelfio Barela.
She is survived by her sister, best friends, Rosemary Herrera, Joe Lucero and Bonifacio Benavidez; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at The First Baptist Church in Española, 913 La Joya St. Burial arrangements are being finalized; contact the mortuary office for details.

DONALD ESPINOZA, 24, of El Llano died Thursday in an automobile accident.
He was accompanied in death by his companion, Amelia Martinez, and unborn baby girl.
He was a bike rider who liked to fix cars and paint them. He also loved his dogs.
He is survived by his father, Mark Espinoza and wife Elvira from El Paso, Texas; mother, Lila Salazar from Alcalde; brothers, Marcos Espinoza and wife LeeAnn Sisneros from Santa Clara, David Salazar and wife Mary from Española, and Brandon Lieber from South Carolina; sisters, Audrey Valdez and husband Dominic from El Llano, and Alisha Salazar from El Llano; paternal grandparents who raised him, Tony and Edna Espinoza from El Llano; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a devotional service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Victory Faith Church in Española. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Cañoncito.

ANTHONY JOHN "TONITO" GRIEGO, 32, of Española died unexpectedly Thursday.
He is survived by his father, Anthony R. Griego and wife Beatrice; mother, Eutimia Leyba; daughter, Lexianna Griego; son, Angel Nicko Griego; fiancé and mother of his children, Crystal Montoya; brother, Orlando Griego; sisters, DeeDee Valdez and husband Chris and Sunee Sandoval, all of Española; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. A second rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Española. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

ELENA HERRERA, 95, of La Cordillera died Wednesday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Herrera; sister, Emilia Santistevan; and brothers, Max and Lavriano Mondragon. She is survived by her nephew she raised as her own, Gilbert Mondragon of Riverton, Wyo.; brother, Ed Mondragon; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the same church with burial to follow at Los Cordovas Cemetery.

ALEX RUBEN LOPEZ, 75, of Chamisal died Wednesday after a brief illness.
He loved being a volunteer caretaker of the local cemetery in Chamisal. He also loved sweeping snow after a snowfall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Cleofas Lopez, and sisters, Maria R. Lovato, Serbie L. Sosaya and Lila Lopez.
He is survived by his sister, Josepha Dominguez of Chamisal; the Lovato family of nieces and nephews of New Mexico; Sosaya family of Santa Fe, Aaron and Daniel Maes of Embudo, Jerry Dominguez and family of California, J.J. Dominguez and family of Chamisal and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Chamisal Catholic Church with burial to follow at the family plot in Chamisal.

TILLIE M. OVERBY, 79, of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long illness.
She loved to work on her flower garden and had a good sense of humor. She loved Spanish music and birthday parties. She also loved her family and grandchildren and was always there for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Edmond Overby; mother, Carmelita Herrera; father, Juan Gurule; sisters, Trinnie Hurtado, Priscilla Martinez, Claudia Carillo and Cecilia Cross, and stepfather, Esequiel Herrera.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosella Overby and companion Leroy Lomay of Santa Fe, Georgia C. Montoya and companion Telly Lovato of Peña Blanca, and Josephine Contreras and husband Noe of Española; sons, Armando E. Overby and wife Dorothy of Cedar Crest, Tommy Overby and wife Cathy of Questa, Ernie E. Overby and companion Esther, and Leonard Gurule, all of Santa Fe; granddaughter raised by her, Miranda Tafoya and companion David Griego of Española; grandson raised by her, Mike Herrera of Pojoaque; sister, Isabel Sandova of Peña Blanca; brothers, Joe Gurule and wife Flora of California, Johnny Gurule and wife Christine, and Avelino Gurule and wife Dora, all of Santa Fe; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Santa Fe with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

EVILIA G. PACHECO, 90, of Arroyo Seco died Friday.
She was preceded in death by her son, Orlando Pacheco.
She is survived by her sons, Amarante Pacheco and wife Anna Francisco, and Paul Pacheco and wife Marie Isaiah; sisters, Solidea Martinez, Locaida Valencia and Barbara Gonzales; 16 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Rivera Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the same chapel. A second rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the same church with burial to follow at Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
