THOMAS WATSON BRADLEY, 77, died Saturday. He spent a great deal of his life exploring, hunting and fishing.
He owned and operated a heavy equipment business for many years in the Española Valley. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Germany. He attended college at New Mexico A&M at Las Cruces. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Bradley; brothers, Robert Turner Bradley, William Strauther Bradley and John Carver Bradley; sisters, Nell Ledinski, Charlene Hartell, Mary McAfee and Mildred McCoy; daughters, Patricia Ann Bellettini and husband Jim, Martha Louise Dorsey and husband David, Linda Susan DeVargas and Janette Rae Nuckols; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at DeVargas Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery and a reception to follow at Fellowship Hall at the Valley View United Methodist Church in Española. BLAS E. BRAZIL JR., 72, of Lower San Pedro died Tuesday after a long illness. He was a U.S. Coast Guard serviceman in the Korean War. He was a University of New Mexico graduate, receiving his master's degree, and a school teacher. He loved teaching for the Pojoaque schools. He was an avid fisherman and loved football, basketball and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blas Sr. and Isabel Brazil. He is survived by his wife, Ercilia Martinez Brazil; sons, Eloy Brazil and wife Lucy, and Gino Brazil of La Mesilla, and their mother, Angie Brazil; and Joseph Brazil and wife Lana of Duboyne, Ireland; daughter, Marisa Brazil of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Johnny and wife Cecilia of Albuquerque, Marie Calaf of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Helen Richardson of Albuquerque, Grace Nelson of Bartlesville, Okla., Theresa Jenkins of Pensacola, Fla., Betty Emanuel of Denver, Colo., Cathy Lopez of Albuquerque and Patsy DeVries and husband Ray of Oklahoma City; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada, followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Northern New Mexico Community College foundation endowment scholarship fund. HOWARD J. DULL, 84, of Lubbock, Texas, died Saturday. He served in the U.S. Army and was involved in the battles and campaigns in Burma, China and India. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with three bronze stars, good conduct medal and a unit citation. He was employed as a salesperson for the Johnston Pump Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Mae Hanes. He is survived by his children, Pat Brogue of Salt Lake City and Judy Ryback and her husband, Greg, of Trophy Club, Texas; sisters, Betty Eugene Hiatt and Sylvia Gillette, both of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the VFW Honor Guard Post 2951, P.O. ALBINO J. GOMEZ, 94, of Las Tablas, died Sunday. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar, the accordion and other instruments. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; sons, Baldino and Oclovis; mother, Delfina; father, Maximinio; stepdad, Jose Larranaga; brothers, Manuel Gomez, John Roybal and Rejinaldo Larranaga; and sisters, Ramona Sisneros, Frances Romero and Flora Lujan. He is survived by his daughters, Juanita Alire and husband David of Albuquerque, Claudia Archuleta and husband Elias of Ojo Caliente, Pauline Gomez of Española and Dixie Vigil; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. today at the San Gonsago Catholic Church in Las Tablas with burial to follow at the Las Tablas Cemetery. SYDNEY RAPOPORT, 85, of Santa Fe died Wednesday. He was born in Chicago. He served in the Navy during World War II. He and his wife, Esther, enjoyed traveling the world and visiting their children and grandchildren. He moved to Santa Fe in 1989 after he had spent 30 years as owner of Stockyards Hardware and Supply Company in Chicago. In Santa Fe, he was a founding member of Congregation Beit Tikva. He sang bass in high holiday choirs, participated in a local bowling league, was involved with Santa Fe's Jewish War Veterans, Young at Heart and Yiddish Club, and was an associate life member of Hadassah. He devoted much of his time to the study of the piano. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Rose Rapoport; and brother, Samuel Rapoport. He is survived by his wife, Esther Hartman; children, Andrea and husband James Svingos, Elliot and wife Gail Rapoport, and Alan Rapoport; five grandchildren; sister, Edith and husband Samuel Roth; and many other relatives. Burial will take place in Chicago. A memorial service will be held in Santa Fe at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to Congregation Beit Tikva, P.O. Box 24094, Santa Fe, N.M., 87502. JOAQUIN L. SALAZAR, 21, of Chimayó died Sunday following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raul Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Adreena Salazar; parents, Willie Ronnie Salazar and wife Jeanelle of El Llano, and Annabelle Lopez and husband Mike of Chimayó; daughter, Esperanza Gallegos of Española; brother, Willie Salazar Jr. of Chimayó; stepsister Ashley of El Llano; close cousins, Doreen Archuleta of Los Alamos and Lucina Gutierrez of Ranchitos; and many other relatives and friends. A service will be held at 7 tonight at the Victory Faith Church in Española. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. VALERIE CLAUDETTE TRUJILLO, 24, of Santa Cruz died Sunday after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Cayetano Trujillo; uncle, Alex Trujillo; and stepfather, Agustine Camargo Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Kayla Carrillo and her father Miguel Carrillo, and Angelica Aguirre and her father, Sixto Aguirre; mother, Lorraine Trujillo; brother, Agustin Camargo Trujillo Jr.; close uncle, Gerald Trujillo; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at 6:30 tonight with a rosary to be recited at 7 in the Sangre de Christo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. ELVIRA ERALIA DEHERRERA, 73, of Raton died Nov. 12 after a long illness.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking sweet breads, cats, bowling, reading mystery novels, solving crossword puzzles, movies, music, driving and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catalina Aragon; brothers, Tito and Joe Aragon and sister, Servilia Gonzales. She is survived by her children, Linda Cordova of Lakewood, Colo., and Gilbert Cordova Jr. of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; sisters, Lilia Pacheco of San Jon, Consuelo Foust of Springer, Anne Cardenas of Cimarron and Frances Melendez of Pojoaque; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 tonight at the Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph's Parish in Springer with burial to follow at the family cemetery in Colmor, followed by a luncheon for everyone at the St. Joseph's Parish Hall in Springer. HELEN J. GARCIA, 53, of Española died Thursday after a long illness.
She was a substance abuse counselor for many years. She volunteered at Let's Read and the Crisis Center of Northern New Mexico and was a member of Parents of Murdered Children.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernesto Lovato; daughter, Daphne Garcia-Martinez; and mother, Stella Martinez.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Garcia; children, Kathy Casados and husband Matthew of El Llano, Phillip Garcia Jr. and wife Rebecca Lopez of Alcalde and Amanda Garcia-Martinez; brothers and sisters, Bertha Martinez of Albuquerque, Leo Martinez, Cipriano Martinez and wife Gloria of Chili, Lucille Martinez of Albuquerque, Mandy Ruiz of California, Joseph Martinez and wife Yvette of Sombrillo, Darlene Abeyta and husband Henry of Albuquerque, and Chris Martinez; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery.

ELLIE HINDS, 20, of Santa Fe died Thursday of accidental causes.
She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2001 and was accepted to a music production school for the upcoming year.
She is survived by her parents, Erv and Elizabeth Hinds; brother, Eric, and his wife, Aleacia, and daughter, Isabella; sister, Emily; and many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Ave.
