PROSPERO PINO, 93, of Las Vegas, N.M. died Sunday.
He was born in Anton Chico to the late Samuel Pino and Rebecca Zamora Pino. He was drafted into the Army in 1944. He was trained in Kentucky and then shipped to Germany. He belonged to Company G, the 66th armored regiment. His military occupation was that of tank crewman driver. He participated in five major battles and campaigns: Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and the Purple Heart Medal. He was given an honorable discharge in Oct., 1945. He was employed by the Santa Rosa Consolidated Schools from 1951-1974. He was a Eucharist Minister for the San Jose Catholic Church and was the Fire Department Chief in Anton Chico.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Estevan Pino and Samuel Pino, both of Albuquerque and Vita Montano Pino of Anton Chico.
He is survived by his wife, Bella Meastas Pino of the family home in Las Vegas, N.M.; children, Mary P. Tenorio and Amadeo, Johnny Pino and Lourdes, Lawrence Pino and Frances, Gilbert Pino and Marcie, Julian Pino and Margaret, Geraldine P. Romero and Phillip and Donald Pino, and Arlene and Erica; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jose L. Pino and Celia of Edgewood, Cecilio Pino, Pete Pino and Agneda, Abelino Pino and Candida of Anton Chico, Rebecca Aragon, Celia Marquez, Reynaldo Pino and Julia of Albuquerque and Arturo Pino of Fresno, Calif; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Maestas and Agneda, Reymundo Maestas and Gilberta Maestas; and many other relatives.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, N.M. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to immediately follow at the San Jose Cemetery in Anton Chico.

CHRIS (MALO) ROYBAL, 37, of Santa Fe died Friday.
He attended Santa Fe High School from 1983-1985. He was an outstanding running back for the Santa Fe Demons football team and excelled in basketball and baseball. He was a beloved son, father, brother and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Sammy and Patsy Roybal; wife, Sharon Roybal; daughter, Samantha Roybal; siblings, Ronnie Roybal and girlfriend Tina, Karmella Conway and husband Brian, and sister-in-law Michelle Romero; stepchildren Bronson, Abie, Jaime, Antonio and Venessa; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church.

VERA M. ALCON, 80, of Chama died Monday. She was born to the late Fabian and Josefa Madrid in La Puente. She operated Viva Vera's Mexican Kitchen in Chama for 42 years, and developed a steady clientele serving delicious homemade Mexican food. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosana Gonzales, Genevieve Suazo, Frances Martinez, Reyes Romero, Bessie Maestas and Juanita Ulibarri. She is survived by her daughters, Susie Garcia, Mary Ann Salazar and husband Eliseo, Patricia Baeza and husband Tommy; and son, Alex Alcon, all of Chama; sisters, Elsie Gomez and husband Elfego of Colorado Springs and Cora Trujillo of Santa Fe; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives. A public visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chama with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at the Chama Community Cemetery. FLORINDA S. HURTADO, 84, of the El Coruco area died Sunday. She was born in El Redamadero to the late Saturnino Sena and Cecilia Lovato. She was married in Villanueva in 1936 to Lucario Hurtado. She liked embroidering, crocheting and cooking. She was a good neighborhood friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucario Hurtado; daughter, Mary Rose Garcia; sons, Nicasio Hurtado, Pete "Patrick" Hurtado and Julio Hurtado; sister, Eurceina Manzanares; and brother, Juan Sena. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Teresa Hurtado of Coruco, Pina Lopez and husband Zenon of Canyon, Texas, Paula Lucas and husband Tony, Locario Hurtado, Jr. and wife Corine and Erenesto Hurtado and wife Camilia, all of Coruco; brothers, Andalecio Sena and wife Eufemia of Albuquerque and Orlando Sena and wife Grace of Sena; sisters and brother-in-law, Julia Tapia, and Jose Maria Medina, both of Coruco, Tomasita Padilla and husband Willie of Ancon, Josefina Sena of Texico and daughters-in-law, Julia Hurtado of Muleshoe, Texas, Doris Hurtado of Dallas and Margie of Espaņola,; son-in-law: Carlos Padilla; 34 grandchildren; and many other relatives and many friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Rogers Chapel. Another rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the San Miguel Del Vado Church in San Miguel. PATRICK "PAT" LOUTON of Santa Fe died Sunday. He moved to Santa Fe in 1975 to purchase the New Mexico Alarm Co. For the past 16 years he has co-owned and operated New Mexico Security Services. He was a successful businessman in the community and an avid outdoorsman. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and good friend. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Purdy; children, Michael Louton and wife Theresa, and April Clark, all of Santa Fe, Daniel Louton and wife Marcy of Albuquerque, and Brian Clark and wife Janette of Killeen, Texas; brothers and sisters, Allen Louton and wife Lennie of Sacramento, Calif., William Louton and wife Fern of American Fork, Utah, Hazel Deaton of Yuba City, Calif., and Hope Triplett of Fair Oaks, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Friends and family are invited to share their memories. GILBERT ARMIJO, 44, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Saturday after a brief illness.
He was a West Las Vegas High School graduate. He attended the carpenter school at Luna Community College and did all kinds of carpentry work. He belonged to P.S.R. where he gathered with friends for activities, outings and good times.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Pedro Romero and Irene Annie Armijo; and brothers, Leroy and Joseph Armijo.
He is survived by his sisters, Mollie J. Armijo and Doris Armijo, both of Las Vegas, N.M., and Irene Sandoval and husband Bob of Denver; brothers, James Louie Armijo and wife Angie of Las Vegas, N.M. and Hilario Anthony Armijo and wife Naomi of El Paso; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with burial to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Tecolote. Cremation has already taken place.

RENNIE CASADOS, 87, a native of Cleveland, N.M., died Thursday in San Jose, Calif.
She was born to the late Manuel Trujillo and Manuelita Archuleta Trujillo in Dawson.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Casados and wife Linda of Auburn, Calif.; Frank Casados and wife Mary Helen of San Jose, Calif.; and Ruben Casados and wife Rene of Benuea, Calif.; daughters, Rosie Martinez and husband Ruben of San Jose, Calif., Jennie Gutierrez and husband Mike of Las Vegas, Nev. and Frances Childress and husband Dick of Canyon Country, Calif.; brothers, Elauterio Trujillo and wife Priscilla and Sipriano Trujillo and wife Tillie, all of Mora, and Jessie Trujillo and wife Josie of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Cleveland, N.M. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at the Cleveland Cemetery.

MARSHA ANN GRAB FRITZ of Santa Fe died suddenly Saturday.
In her early years, she was a hair model for Clairol. She excelled at tennis as a youth and carried that spirit forth in her work at Sangre de Cristo Racquet Club where she motivated many a player. Her winning way with people made her an asset to her father's advertising company, Mission Control, in Chicago and Santa Fe. She also did a stint in broadcasting at WGN Radio station at the London House in Chicago. She loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Estelle Grab of Santa Fe.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer and husband Ray Parris of Spartansburg, S.C.; son, Jon Fritz and wife Megan of Phoenix; two grandchildren; sisters, Carol and husband Keith Ernst of Mequon, Wis., and Jackie Grab of Santa Fe; brothers, John (Jay) Grab and wife Rachel Kelly of Santa Fe and Peter Grab and wife Sue; and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Rosario Cemetery with a memorial service and reception to follow at 10 a.m. at the Bishop's Lodge.
