ARTHUR MARQUEZ SR., 75, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Sunday after a long illness.
He enjoyed restoring old automobiles. He owned and operated Art's Body Shop for more than 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a private in the E-39 Signal Training Battalion at Ft. Dix, N.J. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Martina Marquez; brother, Faustin Marquez; grandson, Tony Marquez Jr.; and sister, Agneda Bustamante. He is survived by his wife, Nieves Marquez of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Arthur Marquez Jr. and wife Consuelo, John Anthony Marquez, Benny Marquez and wife Diane, all of Las Vegas, N.M., Jose Walter Marquez and wife Carmelita of Kearns, Utah; daughters, Georgia Ruiz and husband Tony of Albuquerque; and Irene Marquez of Las Vegas, N.M.; brother, Casimiro Marquez of Las Vegas, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held all day today with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. at the Rogers Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ on Hot Springs Boulevard, with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. SANDRA J. GOMEZ, 58, of Taos Pueblo, died Saturday. She and her husband, Cesario, operated the Taos Indian Horse Ranch.
She is survived by her husband of 33 three years, Cesario Gomez; children, Michael Shawn Gomez and wife Veronica, Phillip Kirk Gomez and wife Lori, Floyd Daniel Gomez and wife Rima and Causandra Ce-Daen Cleovitia Dukepoo and husband Mike, all of Taos Pueblo; 12 grandchildren; sister, Patricia Shiplette of Montana; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

ROBERT "BOBBY" CHRIS JARAMILLO, 39, a lifelong resident of La Puebla died Sunday. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him like a son, Jose Atanacio and Susanna Jaramillo of La Puebla; step-father, Eduardo Trujillo of Truchas; and uncles, Jerry, Joe and Tony Jaramillo. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Jaramillo of La Puebla; mother, Perla Trujillo of Truchas; sister, Susie Trujillo and companion Salomon Aragon and their daughter, Mariah Aragon all of Truchas; brothers, Edward Trujillo Jr. of Truchas, Carlos Jaramillo and companion Dolores Martinez of Santa Fe, Clifford Jaramillo and wife Patricia of La Puebla, and Conrado Jaramillo of La Puebla; sisters, Shirley Lopez, Brenda Jaramillo, Lucille Jaramillo and companion Alvin Trambley, Lillian Jones and companion Felix Romero all of La Puebla, Dolores and husband Joseph Roybal of La Villita, and Anita Calderon of Palmdale, Calif.; many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation begins at 6:30 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. DOLORES "LOLITA" KING, 92, of Santa Fe died Monday. Dolores was one of Santa Fe's living treasures, she worked in various restaurants and hotels across the city and was known most recently as the cook "Auntie Lola" at Rainbow Land Day Care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie King; and sons, Frankie and Tommy King.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Laura Montoya, Evelyn Alarid and Lillian Santos; 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation begins 6 p.m. Thursday with a 7 p.m. rosary at Berardinelli Family Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Cathedral.
Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.

TONY "REAGANS" MARTINEZ, 45, of San Pedro died Saturday. He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Luisa Martinez of San Pedro; brothers, George Martinez and wife Gaby of Reno, Nev., Alberto Martinez of Española, Bobby Martinez and wife Clara of Chimayó and Leroy Martinez and wife Anna of San Pedro; sister, Orlinda Lopez and husband Mike of San Pedro; nine nephews, seven nieces and many other relatives and friends. Visitation begins 5 p.m. Thursday with a 7 p.m. rosary at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada.

JOSE F. "KIKO" MONTOYA, 77, of Ranchos de Taos died Monday.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Molly Montoya; parents, Feliberto and Eufrocina Montoya; brothers and sisters, Lucy, Cecilia, Edwardo, Augustine and Eloy. He is survived by his daughter, Yolanda L. Montoya and husband John; three grandchildren, all of Ranchos de Taos; sisters, Molly Mondragon and husband Pat of Ranchos de Taos, Odie Martinez and husband Phil of El Prado, Isabelle Trujillo and husband George, Esther Miera and husband Felimon and Lydia Salazar, all of Taos. Mass will celebrated 10 a.m. today at San Francisco de Asis Church with 3 p.m. interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

ANTONIO "TONY" ROMERO, 69, of La Loma died Monday.
He is survived by his wife, Theodora Romero, children, Anthony Romero, Thomas Romero both of Taos, Brenda Granger and husband Gary of California and Carla Romero of Los Cordovas; seven grandchildren; sisters, Frances R. Sanchez and husband Placido and Ursula Montoya, all of Albuquerque, Angel Trujillo and husband Fred C. of Taos, Dolores Martinez and husband Felipe of California, Pauline Wilson and husband John of Arizona and Tommie Garcia and husband Michael of Albuquerque.
A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the same church. Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

MODESTO BLANCO, 79, a lifelong resident of Dixon, died Thursday.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew; parents, Anthony and Pablita; and brothers, Abedon, Joseph, Avelino and Gilberto. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in construction for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy K. Blanco of Dixon; son, Michael and wife Loyola of Taos; daughters, Bonnie and husband Paul of Albuquerque, and Patricia and husband Eric of Santa Cruz; three grandchildren; brothers, Fidencio and wife Nora, and Robert and wife Gloria; sister, Evangeline Gonzales and husband Richard; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Praise Temple Church in Dixon.

PEDRO P. DIAZ, 82, of Albuquerque and formerly of Las Vegas, N.M., died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque following a long illness. He was born in Rio Grande, Texas, on April 29, 1921, to the late Guillermo Diaz and Julia Perez Diaz.
He was married in Las Vegas, N.M., to the late Virginia Marrujo.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a private.
He retired from the city of Las Vegas, where he was employed in the maintenance department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, Frances Trujillo, Betsy Diaz, Billy Diaz, Carmelita Diaz, Prescilla Martinez and Wally Diaz; and grandson, Fernando Marrujo. He is survived by sons and daughters, Peter Diaz and wife Kathy of Chama, Lorraine Jaramillo and husband Fred of Albuquerque, Wilfred Marrujo and wife Dora of Las Vegas, N.M., Walter Diaz of Las Vegas, N.M., Nancy Goatley and husband Billy of Radcliff, Ky., and William Diaz of Albuquerque; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church.
Burial will follow at the San Jose Cemetery.

PAUL HASSELQUIST of Santa Fe died Tuesday. He was born July 22, 1925, in Center City to Oscar and Harriet Hasselquist. He earned a master's degree in civil engineering and went on to work in the bridge design section of the state Highway and Transportation Department, where he was employed for 21 years. He enjoyed mountain climbing and was a great photographer, as well as a loyal father. He was preceded in death by his son, Felipe. He is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters, Rose, Lupe and Andrea Hasselquist; sons, Andy and Wolfgang Hasselquist; three grandchildren; brothers, Carl, and Eral Hasselquist; sister, Mille Hasselquist; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, and a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

CHARLES A. "C.A." LOVETTE, 87, died Thursday at home. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Gloria Johnson, FiFi Hut, Carla Roth, Joy Lovette, Patty Joy Lovette, David, Arthur, Jean, Terry and Tom McCool, Franklin Dohrer, Joel and Leslye Dohrer, Lee and Kathleen Dohrer, and Virginia Guzman; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was the bureau chief of the state of New Mexico Construction Industries.
He was a SAC Headquarters project engineer and project engineer administrator at the Nevada Test Site.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at McGee Memorial Chapel.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the same location.
