ENDELICIA LUJAN, 96, of Espaņola died Wednesday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Amada Lujan; brothers, Leopoldo Lujan and Luis Lujan; and sisters, Maclovia Garcia and Sarah Roybal.
She is survived by her siblings, Ruben Lujan, Amada Lujan, Agustin Lujan and wife Sennie, and Eloy Lujan and wife Rose, all of Espaņola, Isabel Roybal, and Freddie Lujan of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
Services have taken place with burial at the El Rancho Community Cemetery.

JOHN C. TUBBS, 65, of Santa Fe died Thursday from complications of cancer.
He was born to Leo Greer Tubbs and Mildred Lee Perkins in Bryan, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1957. He attended Texas A&M University and received a bachelor's degree in business and an accounting degree from the University of Houston in 1964. He married Marilyn Jeannette Hayes in 1960. He moved his young family to Santa Fe in 1964 to begin his career in public accounting. He held CPA licenses in both Texas and New Mexico and was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was employed as a CPA for Peat, Marwick & Mitchell and retired as the managing partner for the Santa Fe office after 18 years of service. In 1982, he opened his own CPA practice. He was the creator of several business ventures and products, including Footsteps Across New Mexico and Heavenly Hearts. He served the community in the following capacities: Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Santa Fe, St. Vincent Hospital Foundation Board, Santa Fe Tree Task Force, New Mexico Baptist Foundation Board and the Santa Fe Old Pecos Trail upgrade, and held many offices at the First Baptist Church of Santa Fe, where he was a member for 41 years. He was an avid reader and had a deep, abiding interest in the Civil War. He founded the Santa Fe Volleyball Club in the late 1960s. During the past several years, he looked forward to his morning breakfast clubs and Thursday night study group.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters and son-in-laws, Carol and Don Gentry of Albuquerque and Penny and Chris Briggs of Bryan, Texas; sons, John Andrew Tubbs and friend Margaret Ragle, and Stephen Tubbs, all of Santa Fe; three grandchildren; brother, Thomas Tubbs of Lufkin, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jane Posey.
A visitation and viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at McGee Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail. A private cremation ceremony will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, 455 St. Michael's Drive, Santa Fe, N.M., 87501.

JUANITA S. BABCOCK, 87, of El Guache died Monday in Albuquerque.
She was born in El Guache to the late Lazaro and Gregorita Salazar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and brothers and sisters, Octaviana Gallegos, Rosarito Manzanares, Jose Salazar, Epifanio Salazar, Louisa Martinez and Arsenio Salazar.
She is survived by her sisters, Lorencita Salazar, Toni Valencia and husband, Paul, all of Riverside and Aurora Archuleta of Espaņola; brother, Phil Salazar of Sombrillo; nephew and nieces raised by her, Eppie Salazar and wife, Suzie, of El Guache, Anna Trujillo of La Mesilla and Diana Salazar of Arroyo Seco; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Block-Salazar Mortuary Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Espaņola with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.

BERTRAM R. GARCIA, 84, of Chacon died Saturday in Bernalillo.
He was born in Chacon to the late Cosme R. Garcia and Leonor Sandoval. He was married to Ruth V. Duran at El Rito Presbyterian Church in Chacon in 1945. He graduated from Menaul High School in Albuquerque in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as private first class. He was a cattle rancher most of his life. He enjoyed working with leather and loved to hunt and fish. He served 39 years with the USDA FSA Committee, and was former president of Mora-San Miguel Electric Coop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cosme and Leonor Garcia; wife, Ruth V. Duran-Garcia; son, Gerson Garcia; and sister, Lorraine Garcia.
He is survived by his son and daughter, Robert R. Garcia and wife Janet of Bernalillo and Reina Garcia Baremore and husband Clay of Chacon; stepson, Amos Duran and wife Ellen of Las Vegas, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; brother, Olson Garcia of North Hollywood, Calif.; sister, Ernestine Riggs and husband, Merl, of Denver; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at the El Rito Presbyterian Church in Chacon with burial to follow at the El Rito Presbyterian Cemetery in Chacon.

CLARICE M. GARCIA of Las Vegas, N.M. died at her home Sunday of cancer.
She was born in Durant, Miss., to the late Ralph and Pearl Wilkins McLellan. She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church and had worked at New Mexico Highlands University as an administrative secretary in the Science Department for 21 years. She retired in 1996. She made lots of friends and loved her job very much. She loved going to the mountains, walking every day for two miles, as well as gardening in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny; and sisters, Helen and Gloria.
She is survived by her husband, Luis Garcia of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Frankie Bledsoe and wife Judy and Johnny McBride and wife Vivian, all of Durant, Miss., and David Garcia and wife Angela of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughters, Darla Johnson and husband Kenny of Pensacola, Fla., Lisa Apodaca and husband Dan of Las Vegas, N.M., and Mona Spence and husband John of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Polly Horne; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Flowers have not been omitted but memorials for a science scholarship in her honor can be made to the NMHU Foundation, New Mexico Highlands University, Box 9000, Las Vegas, N.M., 87701.

MICHAEL VALENCIA, 29, of Espaņola died unexpectedly Sunday.
He was a sales manager for his father at Henry Valencia Inc. He was a 1994 graduate of Espaņola Valley High School and a graduate of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catharina Valencia.
He is survived by his father, Henry Valencia of Espaņola; sisters, Wieke and husband Bob of the Netherlands and Margaret Peņa and husband Curtis of Rio Rancho; brother, Henry J. Valencia of Espaņola; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation and rosary will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz.
