AUDELIA "DELIA" ROYBAL, 88, of Santa Fe died Tuesday.
She was born in El Rancho. She was employed by Furr's Cafeteria, retiring after 20 years of service. She is survived by her children, Carlos and wife, Connie Roybal; Dolores and husband, Edward, Hopkins, Candy and husband, Frank Saiz, Barbara Torrez and partner Les Kaminski, Adelina Roybal and partner Carlos Rivera, Eva Griego, Teresa and husband, Johny Herrera, Bernice Bell; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Roybal; brothers, Richard and Thomas; and sister, Lucinda, Veronica and Ramona.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

MARIA T. DOMINGUEZ, 43, of Cuarteles died Thursday after a short illness.
She was born in Alamosa, Colo., and raised in Antonito, Colo. She moved to New Mexico in 1981. She loved the outdoors, especially horseback riding. She worked as a wrangler whenever she had an opportunity to do so. She enjoyed writing poetry and working with arts and crafts. She was a generous person, always ready to lend a hand. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary and Eagle Women's Auxiliary. She was a volunteer as the gift shop manager for El Convento for the city of Espaņola. She had a home catering business by the name of My Kitchen or Yours. She was a graduate of Northern New Mexico Community College in 1999, where she earned an associate's degree in accounting and she worked at Center Market for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Trujillo Jr., and brother, Ricardo Trujillo.
She is survived by her husband, Ramon Dominguez Jr.; son, Ruben Rafael Dominguez; mother, Inez Trujillo; brother, Salvador Trujillo and wife Lucy; sisters, Rose Vialpando and husband Albert, and Veronica Muscarella and husband Steve; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Block Salazar Mortuary. Another rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas Church in Abiquiu. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the same church with burial to follow at the Abiquiu Cemetery.

LUCY M. BENAVIDEZ, 90, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday at her home following a brief illness.
She was born in La Manga to the late Nicolas Madrid and Ricardita Dominquez. She was married to Gonzalo Benavidez in 1935. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She worked as a foster grandparent at West Las Vegas Head Start for 12 years. She loved sewing, gardening, taking care of her plants, cooking, baking and being with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Ricardita Madrid; husband, Gonzalo Benavidez; son, Casey Benavidez; stepson, Fidel Benavidez; sisters, Floripa Lucero and Candelaria Jaramillo; and brothers, Juan and Cristobal Madrid.
She is survived by her sister, Elvira Hurtado of the family home in Las Vegas, N.M.; son, Manuel Benavidez and Margaret of Las Vegas, N.M.; stepson, Rafael Benavidez of Kansas; daughters, Clorinda Romero and husband, Joe, of El Pueblo, Lena Flores and husband, Paul; Jessie Archuleta and husband, Arthur, and Rose Salazar and husband, Joaquin, all of Las Vegas, N.M., and Helen Vargas and husband Gerardo of Romeroville; 38 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held all day Sunday until 7 p.m., when a rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at La Manga Cemetery.

JENINE MARGUERITE CLIFFORD, 14, of Santa Fe died Wednesday.
She was the daughter of Thomas Clifford and Camille Palmerino Clifford. She was born in Washington, D.C. She arrived in Santa Fe in 1994 with her brother, Mark, and sister, Antonia. She was in the ninth grade at St. Michael's High School. Her passions were snowboarding, playing bass guitar, anime art and writing poetry. She wanted to be a rock star, a model and a chef. She loved the ocean and riding the waves. She was an original whose smile could light up any room.
She is survived by her parents; two siblings; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the McGee Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

ILA ARDETH SMEBAK JOHNSON, 82, of Los Alamos died Tuesday at the Sombrillo Nursing Home in Los Alamos.
She had lived at Sombrillo since July 2001. She was born in Carrington, N.D., where her father was the local chiropractor. She attended Concordia College in Moorehead, Minn., where she received her bachelor's degree in English and art and met her future husband, Allan Eugene Johnson of Finley, N.D. During World War II she moved temporarily back to Carrington and then to the eastern plains of Colorado, where she taught school. In the fall of 1947, she and Allan married and moved to Los Alamos, where they raised three sons and a daughter. A professional musician, she adored all things Bach. The organist for several local churches, she also played harpsichord for a local Early Music ensemble and was an avid concert-goer. She loved all creatures and adopted strays, both the two- and four-legged variety. Her passions included art, books, and chocolate, but above all her children, grandchildren and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole Berg and Marie Smebak; and husband, Allan Eugene Johnson.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Jane Smebak of Watertown, Wis.; children, Marc Christopher and wife, Marcia, of Pueblo, Colo., Rebecca Marie Johnson of Los Alamos, Paul Allan and wife, Susan Meadows, of Nambé, Timothy Andrew and wife, Claudia Lewis, of Jaconita; two grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Los Alamos with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wildlife Center, P.O. Box 246, Espaņola, N.M., 87532, 505-753-9505.

GREGORITA MARTINEZ, 92, of Albuquerque died Thursday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro I. Martinez.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcella Alba; one grandson; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. A second rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Oratorio in La Madera. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Piedad de la Divina Pastora Catholic Church in Petaca with burial to follow at the Petaca Community Cemetery.

ASENCION "SENNIE" N. SERNA, 88, of Los Alamos, died Thursday at Los Alamos Medical Center.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, vecina, prima, amiga and comadre. Her life was filled with stories and tales, honesty, hard work, kindness, love for her family and devotion to her faith. She enjoyed collecting santos, prayers, remembrance cards, newspaper clippings, stamps, coins, remedies, ancestral records and other keepsakes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abedon F. Serna; parents, Melisendro Naranjo and Raquel Velarde; brother, Jose I. Naranjo; and sisters, Josefa Naranjo, Adela Naranjo and Lucy Figueroa.
She is survived by her children, Abe Jr. and wife, Loyola; Rose Ellen Montoya and husband, Robert; and Ernie Serna, all of El Guache, Orlando and wife, Lucy of Chamita, Ida Ulibarri and Sennie Jaramillo and husband, Rudy; all of Albuquerque, Esther Martinez and husband, Frank, of Bothell, Wash.; sister, Margaret Bustos of Richmond, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at noon today at the same church with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Espaņola.
