ARTHUR LAVERNE ALEXANDER, 84, a longtime resident of New Mexico, died April 6 in Albuquerque.
He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. He studied in London prior to serving his country in the military during World War II. After the war, he settled in Kingsville, Texas, raised a family and operated several businesses. In 1971, he moved north to Truchas, where he lived for almost 25 years. He opened the Truchas Café, serving the surrounding communities for many years. He was a master gardener and garden lovers sought his advice for decades at Kmart and Newman's Nursery in Santa Fe. In 1995, he moved to Weed, where he made his final home.
He is survived by his children, Mary Helen, Jimmy, Fred and Richard Raymond; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives.

MARY M. BRANSFORD, 87, of Santa Fe died Tuesday following a long illness.
She was born in Santa Fe to the late Juan Montoya y Lopez and Alberta G. Montoya. She married Raymond Bransford on Dec. 28, 1940. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bransford; and daughter, Irene Bransford-Rodriguez.
She is survived by her children, Consuelo T. Medrano and husband, Mike; Gloria B. Gustin and husband, Daryl; Harold R. Bransford and wife, Jean; Anthony A. Bransford and wife, Vangie; Barbara Arguedas and husband, Arthur; Gilbert J. Bransford and wife Chrissy, Linda Martin and husband, Frank; Helen Bransford and Ray Baca, Joseph Bransford and wife, Rozella; and Ronnie Bransford; close niece, Carrie Clay and husband, Morris; sisters, Reymunda Garcia, Pita Gurule, and Josie Trujillo; 18 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

JIM C. BRUNNER, 48, of Santa Fe died Monday.
He was born in Albuquerque. He was a native of northern New Mexico living in the Chama Valley, Abiquiu and then Santa Fe for the last 20 years. He was a sandblaster in the Santa Fe area for 15 years. He donated his services to many area churches. He loved his wife and children very much.
He is survived by his wife, Gayla; children, Holly and husband Sean and James and wife Stacy; parents, Wayne and June Brunner; brothers, Wayne and Warren Brunner; sister, Nancy Young and husband Jerry; and many other family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1200 Old Pecos Trail. A private burial will be held at a later date.

THE REV. DR. CHARLES W. KRAHE, 80, died Monday at Santa Fe Care Center after a short illness.
He was born to Charles W. Krahe Sr. and Caroline S. Deutschmann Krahe in Astoria, Long Island City, N.Y. He married Edith Rabassa on June 19, 1948, in Staten Island, N.Y. He and his wife spent more than 55 years in the ministry at St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Perth Amboy, N.J., the 6th Reformed Church of Patterson, N.J., and most recently at the 7th Reformed Church of Grand Rapids, Mich. They moved to New Mexico in May 2004 to be closer to family. He was educated in New York City schools, Hamilton College and New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He was ordained by the Classis of New York of the Reformed Church in America in 1947. He received the degree of doctor of divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and was privileged to have Westminster's Chair of Systematic Theology named in his honor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith; and son, Martin Krahe.
He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Norris; sister, Jean C. Mee and husband William H. Mee Sr.; special nephew, William H. Mee Jr. and wife Lois B. Mee; close cousin, Frank J. Fenlon; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service. Services will be held in New Jersey on Monday, with burial to take place in Fair Lawn, N.J. There will be a service to honor the memory of both the Rev. Krahe and Mrs. Krahe at 2 p.m. April 30 at the Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church in White Rock with reception to follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Christian Education Scholarship Fund of Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church, 333 Bryce Avenue, Los Alamos, N.M., 87544 or to The Endowed Charles Krahe Chair, the Westminster Educational Foundation, Box 27009, Philadelphia, Pa., 19118.

ROSA SIQUEIROS, 47, of Alcalde died Tuesday following a long illness.
She served 20 years with the U.S. Air Force before retiring with an honorable discharge. At the time of her death, she was working in law enforcement with the State Police. She also worked for Protection Technology in Los Alamos as a field lieutenant. She graduated in the 66th recruit class of the State Police and was stationed in District 7 in Española. She was a 1977 graduate of Bel-Air High School in El Paso. She was active in track and field, cross country and many other activities.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Enriqueta Siqueiros; and father, Rafael Siqueiros Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Baxendale of Alcalde; sons, Christopher Baxendale and wife Christina of Albuquerque, and James Baxendale Jr. of Albuquerque; mother, Olivia Siqueiros of El Paso; three grandchildren; brothers, Rafael Siqueiros Jr. and companion and Lorenzo Siqueiros and wife Cindy, all of El Paso; sisters, Christina Butler and husband Hayward of El Paso, Alejandra Cobb and husband Chris of West Virginia, Francisca Varela and husband James of El Paso; close nephew, Henry Butler of El Paso; niece, Olivia Butler of El Paso; best friends, Irma and Joe Candia of El Paso; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a devotional service to follow at 7 p.m. A final visitation will be held from noon-12:45 p.m. Friday in the same chapel with burial to follow at 2 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

TAMMY RENEE ARCHULETA, 38, of Santa Fe died Friday following a long illness.
She was born in Albuquerque, the daughter of Hector Fava and Bertha Garcia and stepmother Barbie Fava. She graduated from Albuquerque's Rio Grande High School in 1984. She moved to Santa Fe where she was employed by the Secretary of State's Office. She was involved with many things that would aid Hispanics and women. She loved being involved in Toys for Tots and the Aids Walk New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Padilla.
She is survived by her sons, Michael David Archuleta and Jesse Jacob Joshua Archuleta; fiance, Larry DesJarlais; and ex-husband, Michael Archuleta.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.

ELOISA CORDOVA, 96, of Chamisal died Sunday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Victor Cordova; son, Macario Cordova; and daughter, Rebecca Fujino.
She is survived by her children, Olivama Pacheco, Felix Cordova, Ross Cordova, Joe Cordova and wife, Vicky; Rosana Abeyta and husband, Juan; Laura Abeyta and husband, Gilbert Paul; all of Chamisal, Linora Pacheco of Santa Fe, Maclovia Fresquez and husband, Anselmo, of Las Vegas, Nev. and Dina Duran and husband, Robert, of Talpa; 40 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at Chamisal Catholic Cemetery.
