LINDA MURRAY of Taos County died Tuesday from an acute asthma attack.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; sister, Brenda; and brother, Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on May 22 in the gardens of the Overland Ranch Complex in El Prado.

JOSE "TACHO" A. RODRIGUEZ, 85, of Santa Fe died Saturday at home.
He was a World War II Veteran and retired from PNM. He was a lifelong member of La Union Protectiva and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and parents Florentino and Josefita Rodriguez.
He is survived by his children, Rita and husband Richard McCleskey, Sylvia and husband Eddie Gallegos, Evelyn, Joe, Robert, Janet, David and Elaine Rodriguez; sisters, Molly Benavidez and Lucy Montoya; ten grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. by La Union Protectiva at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

JOSIE G. RONQUILLO of Santa Fe died Sunday after a long illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Garcia Street in Santa Fe.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Domatilla (Tillie) Garcia and Ignacio Ronquillo; and brothers, Eligio and Dan Ronquillo.
She is survived by her son, David E. Lucero of Santa Fe; lifelong companion, Lloyd Cain of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Cathedral with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

CLAUDIO ARCHULETA, 89, of Dixon died Monday.
He enjoyed farming, growing chile and corn, and being a rancher. He was a very well-respected man in his community of Dixon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Celso and Frutosa Archuleta; daughter, Jenny Arabella-Archuleta; brother, Celestino Archuleta; and sister, Gripiana Archuleta.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beatrice Archuleta; sons, Jerry Archuleta and Alex Archuleta and wife Amy; daughters, Sally Archuleta and companion Matt Montoya of Albuquerque, Clara Lopez and husband Patricio of Peñasco; brothers, Estevan Archuleta and companion Geneveve and Amado Archuleta and wife Domitilia; sisters, Eloisa Garcia and husband Antonio of Dixon, Orcilia Trujillo and husband Alfonso of Santa Fe, Carlota Roybal and husband Lebeo of Santa Fe, Laura Medina and husband Joe of Las Cruces; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dixon with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at the same church with burial to follow at La Cañada Catholic Cemetery in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests living trees, which will be planted by his family in his memory.

EDWARD V. MARTINEZ, 85, of Chimayó died Friday following a long illness.
He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran, earning the Purple Heart. He had been stationed in Panama, the Philippines and Japan, and was a DAV and American Legion member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Estanalado Martinez and Anastacia Martinez.
He is survived by his wife, Dulce Martinez of Chimayó; daughters, Mary Sandoval, Rosina Vigil and husband Ben, all of Santa Fe, Flora Talachy and husband Gary of Española and Rosita Navarez and husband Heraclio of Los Lunas; seven grandchildren; close friend, Esiquel Trujillo; and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Española with burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

IRENE MONTOYA MARTINEZ, 99, of Nambé died Sunday following a long illness. Her spiritual life was spent in prayer for all her family, relatives and friends. She was devoted to all her children and extended family. She made beautiful quilts which she gave to her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Lino Martinez Sr.; infant daughter, Priscilla Martinez; parents, Petronilo Montoya and Juanita Gomez; two brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Mary Sims and husband David of Bloomfield, Juanita Stinson of Manassas, Va., Juan Lino Martinez Jr. and wife Agapita of Albuquerque, Matilda Marshall and husband David of Milpitas, Calif., Lupe Benavidez and husband John of Nambé, Rosa Martinez of Gobernador, Pat Martinez and wife Diane of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Margaret Gallegos of Las Vegas, Nev., and brothers, Reynel Montoya and wife Stella of Blanco, Pat Montoya and wife Cruzelia of Blanco, and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Blanco with burial to follow at the St. Rose Cemetery.

MERCEDES J. MARTINEZ, 67, of Santa Cruz died Friday following a lengthy illness.
She participated in weaving as a hobby for many years at the Santa Cruz Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed any sports that her family was involved with and was a Girl Scout leader many years ago. She loved to crochet and garden. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school at the Valley View Methodist Church. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Demecia Alcares; son, John Patrick Martinez; and an infant brother who died at birth.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Martinez of Santa Cruz; daughters, Wanda Sena and husband Louie of Moriarty, Lina Martinez of Santa Cruz and Stephanie Vasquez and husband Ruben of El Guache; sons, Herman Alcares of Santa Cruz, Marcial Martinez and wife Rosemary of Rio Rancho, Sal Martinez and wife Marcella of Albuquerque and Adam Martinez and wife Karen of San Pedro; sisters, Carmen Hughes and husband Richard of Santa Cruz, Rosanna Bennet of Guachupangue, Rosario Fiorillo of Española, Louisa Benton and husband Kip of Cuyamungue and Gloria Maestas of Guachupangue; two grandchildren raised by her, Jessica and Michael Martinez, both of Santa Cruz; 15 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Valley View United Methodist Church in Española with burial at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde.
