HAR HARI KAUR (DORIS S. LEONARD), 76, of Tesuque died Wednesday.
She was born in San Francisco, the daughter of the late Eldridge T. and Jeannette Dyer Spencer. She earned her bachelor's degree from Stanford University. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, artist, musician, former member of the San Francisco Opera Company and adored member of the Sikh community. She humbly and dutifully served God and mankind with grace and radiance. She had the ability to make everyone feel loved with her warm smile and bright laugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Megeath Spencer Brockway and husband Paul; daughter, Siri Nishan K. Khalsa and husband Amrit; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Sikh Dharma of N.M., c/o Children's Playground 1-A Ram Das Guru Place, Española, NM 87532.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Berardinelli Family Chapel.

DEBORAH MCNAUGHTON of Santa Fe died Tuesday after a long illness.
A celebration in her honor will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Randall Davey Audubon Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Audubon Center or to the Santa Fe Artists Emergency Medical Fund.

ERLIN I. MONTOYA, 55, of Española died Wednesday after a long illness.
She was born in Embudo and raised in Dixon. She was a resident of Española for 20 years. She retired from Kleen Tech in 2004 where she worked for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Annie Montoya; and brother, Alfred Cruz.
She is survived by her companion, Porfirio Trujillo of Española; sisters, Lillian Brito and husband Joe of Utah, Thelma Serrano and husband Sef of Española, Charlene Trujillo and husband Frutoso of Cordova; brothers, Melvin and wife Bernie of Dixon, Roger and companion Patricia Trujillo of Española; special nieces, Melinda and Valerie; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a wake to follow at 7 p.m. A second wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Dixon Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Dixon.

JOSE MAXIMINIO TALACHE, 87, of Nambé Pueblo died unexpectedly Monday.
He was a plumber, community director and gas technician most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Basillia Talache; and sons, Max Talache Jr. and Thomas Talache Sr.
He is survived by his sons, Eddie and wife Linda, Reyes and wife Wanda, all of Nambé Pueblo; daughters, Virginia Talache, Naomi Talache de Romero and husband, Daniel, all of Nambé Pueblo; step-daughter, Elaine Anaya of Nambe Pueblo; 16 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.

LEVI G. ACUNA, 84, of Santa Fe died suddenly Wednesday.
He was from a large family. He became a soldier and a scholar. He enlisted in the army as a private and saw combat in both World War II and the Korean War. He finished his military obligations with a rank of second lieutenant and Purple Heart. He was able to obtain his academic goals by taking college course work through the Army from the University of Maryland, Texas Tech and University of California and completed his bachelor's and master's degree in education and counseling. He received an education specialist degree in counseling psychology and administration from New Mexico State University in 1977. His worked for middle and high schools in Las Cruces, headed the physical education department at St. Michael's College in Santa Fe and worked for the state Department of Education in vocational rehabilitation and at the New Mexico State Penitentiary. He moved to Arizona as educational manager for a project with the Ford Foundation, then worked for the Pima Tribe as their dean of students at the Pima Community College Career Center. He moved to Central Arizona College as director of continuing education, then retiring from his education career as director of the Training Academy and member of the classification team at the maximum security prison at Florence, Ariz. He continued working part-time for the Casa Grande Union High School on special projects and teaching citizenship and English as a Second Language until he moved back to Santa Fe in August of 1995.
He was a devout Catholic and was active with his parish and the Knights of Columbus. He was active with the Santa Fe Community College fitness courses and the Senior Olympics. He volunteered with the Literacy Program and was involved with the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a devoted husband to Anita Acuna and protected her through many years with multiple sclerosis. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Renee Acuna; parents, Jesus Trujillo Acuna of Mimbres Valley and Fernanda of Gila; and siblings, Vera Ogas, Genevieve Johnson, Rudy and Joe Acuna.
He is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Caryl Acuna and Patrick Flanagan of Santa Fe, Elizabeth and Capt. Barry Bruner of Burke, Va., Kathy and Dr. Peter Pilewskie of Boulder; brother, Gilbert Acuna and wife Rosa of Silver City; sister, Connie Matz of Chicago; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

DOLORES M. RODRIGUEZ ARMIJO, 51, of Santa Fe died Friday of cancer.
She was born to Higinio and Elisa Rodriguez. She was raised and lived in Santa Fe all of her life. She was a member of La Union Protectiva, The Blue Army of Our Lady and a promoter of the Holy Rosary, especially the Children's Rosary at Cristo Rey Catholic School. She was employed as a certified nurse's assistant and worked at the hospital, in nursing homes and at Santa Fe Family Health Center doing what she loved best, taking care of others. She was a kind and generous person.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Serrano.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bobby; son, Roberto Armijo and wife Liz; daughters, Andrea Gallegos and husband Andrew and Melissa Armijo; parents, Higinio and Elisa Rodriguez; brothers, Pete Rodriguez and wife Pauline, Miguel Rodriguez and wife Mary; sister, Lucy Solano and husband Henry; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday at La Paloma Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the same church with burial to follow on the family ranch at Ojo de la Vaca.
