QUINTIN L. KRUICHAK
Quintin L. (Max) Kruichak, 80, of Cuba, N.M., passed away Feb. 28, 2006 in Albuquerque with his loving family beside him.
Max was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Sparta, Wisc., to Max John and Olive (Haney) Kruichak. He married Dora Bonone on June 24, 1950, in Albuquerque. Max worked as a mill man for the Jaynes Corp. Max proudly served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. Max and Dora resided in Cuba for the past 14 years. Max loved and enjoyed the mountains to the fullest.
Max is survived by his wife, Dora "Boots" of the home; son, Max Kruichak of Sandia Park; granddaughter, Jessica Kruichak; daughter-in-law, Eileen Snyder; brothers, Vincent Kruichak and wife Jean, Ray Myers and wife Ramona; sisters, Konnie Gush and husband Jack, Faye Gibson and husband Bill; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
His parents, Max and Olive Kruichak, preceded him in death.
Max will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. All who knew and loved him will miss Max.
Services will be decided. Arrangements for cremation have been handled by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty.

JEANNE WALKER PRESSLY
Mrs. Jeanne Walker Pressly, originally of Atlanta, passed away March 2, 2006.
Jeanne Pressly and her husband, Chaplain John Ebenezer Pressly Jr. (Lt. Col, Air Force, Retired), were longtime residents of Moriarty. Jeanne was a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Moriarty, where she had many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 2000.
Jeanne Pressly is survived by her daughter, Danielle Pressly Johnston and husband Douglas Johnston; granddaughter, Rachel Ellen Johnston; her son, John (Jack) Ebenezer Pressly III; and brother, Roy Walker of Lawrenceville, Ga.
Jeanne will be remembered by all who knew her.
A memorial was held at Bethel Methodist Church on Wednesday.

CLYDE RAYMOND HARRISON
Clyde Raymond Harrison, 72, of Mountainair passed away March 2, 2006 in Belen.
Clyde was born Jan. 12, 1934, to Emanuel and Lola (Roach) Harrison. He married Louise Beck on June 5, 1963. Clyde proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a signalman for the Santa Fe Railroad.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Louise Harrison of the home; sons, Eddie Lee Walton and wife Helen of Belen, and Patrick Neal Harrison and wife Lorraine of Blue Springs, N.M.; a daughter, Darla Thompson and husband Joe of Roswell; brothers, Alvin Harrison and wife Josie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Corky Harrison and wife Genevia of Tijeras; sisters, Nora Jean Maxwell of Ohio and Nellie Laslie of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Clyde will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. All who knew and loved Clyde will miss him.
A funeral service was held Tuesday at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair with Richard Spencer. Interment was at the Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair.

HARRY NEWTON SIMONS
The family and friends of Harry Newton Simons of Sandia Park are sorry to announce his passing.
He died peacefully Feb. 26, 2006 at his daughter's home in Pennslyvania.
He was born March 19, 1924, and would have been 82 years old this month. He died of complications from a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra, and many other family members and friends in Pennslyvannia and in New Mexico.
He was a noted advocate for the protection of wildlife in the Sandia Mountains. He requested that instead of flowers, or any other sentiments related to his passing, donations be made to either Sandia Mountain BearWatch through coordinator Jan Hayes or to Wildlife West Nature Park to assist the bear rescue program there.
He was loved and will be missed dearly. Most certainly, family and friends will remember his great compassion for life that he continuously lived his own by.
He was often quoted as saying that living here was heaven on earth. That this was the best medicine.
God bless you, Harry. You will be loved and remembered always.

WILLIAM AUGUSTUS LOTHROP
William Augustus Lothrop, 73, of Edgewood passed away on Feb. 20, 2006 at his home.
William was born June 19, 1932, in Portland, Ore., to William and LoraNita (Balcom) Lothrop. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. William was a marksman, ranking 12th in the nation, and third in his class; was a member of the National Rifle Association; raced motocross in the Old Timer's division and was one of the founding members of that division; and was also a retired member of Lodge 1546 of the Machinist & Aerospace Workers.
William is survived by his sons, William Lothrop III of Norfolk, Va., Troy Lothrop of Mantica, Calif., and Johnny Lothrop of Castro Valley, Calif.; daughter, Teresa Livengood of Portland, Ore.; stepdaughter, Tosha Carbin of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and LoraNita Lothrop; and a brother, David Lothrop. All that knew and loved William will miss him.
A memorial service for William was held Friday at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair. Arrangements for cremation have been handled by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.

SANDRA R. SMITH
Sandra R. Smith, 64, a resident of Cedar Crest since 1991, died Feb. 27, 2006 from complications of diabetes.
Sandra grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. While attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, she met and married Farrell Smith in the Manti, Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in September 1963. She graduated from BYU in June of 1964. Following graduation, Farrell and Sandra eventually settled in Tempe, Ariz., where they raised seven children. From 1987 until 1990 they lived in Vienna, Austria, where Sandra served as mission mother to hundreds of missionaries. Sandra was actively involved with her husband as owners of Exerplay Inc. She was an active member of the Cedar Crest Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Farrell M. Smith of Cedar Crest; daughter, Julie Wride and husband Stuart of Victor, Idaho; sons, F. Matthew Smith and wife Christina of Saipan, Northern Marianas, Robert F. Smith and wife Krista of Albuquerque, David F. Smith and wife Leslie of Highland, Utah, Michael F. Smith and wife Camella of Cedar Crest, and Jeffrey F. Smith of Manhattan, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren, Samuel and Charlie Wride of Victor, Idaho, Taylor, Madison, Harrison and Carter Smith, all of Saipan, Kindred, Phoebe, Bennett and Naomi Smith, all of Albuquerque, Sarah, Clark, Grant, Audrey, Maya and Ethan Smith, all of Highland, Utah, and Anodyne LeeAnne Smith of Cedar Crest; parents, Paul and Connie Bang of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Linda Ludlow and husband Mark of St. George, Utah; brothers, Steve Bang and wife LeeAnn of Orem, Utah and David Bang and wife Linda of Mesa, Ariz.; son-in-law, Philip White of Danville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, LeeAnne White, in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 8 at the Edgewood Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Hills in Provo, Utah, on March 11.

CHARLIE H. CANTRELL
Charlie H. Cantrell, 82, of Torreon passed away Feb. 14, 2006 at his home.
Charlie was born May 5, 1925, in Snyder, Texas, to Jewel L. and Edna E. (Sullivan) Cantrell. He married the love of his life, Alice G. Billingsley, on March 12, 1972, in Plant City, Fla. Alice preceded Charlie in death on April 18, 2001.
Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 in the Pacific Theater of World War II and again from 1950 to 1952 in Korea and Asian waters. He obtained the rank of Radio Petty Officer 2nd class. Charlie was a member of the Society of Mining Engineers and helped pioneer the introduction of the self-loading elevating scraper in North America from 1966 to 1980.
Charlie and Alice moved from Taylorsville, Ga., to New Mexico eight years ago.
Charlie is survived by his sons, Charles T. Cantrell of Cottonwood, Ariz., Douglas W. Cantrell of Marietta, Ga., and Gary R. Cantrell of Forest Park, Ga.; granddaughters, Robin Cantrell and Natalie Cantrell of Marietta; a grandson, Michael Cantrell of Marietta; a half-sister, Melanie Mullin of Granbury, Texas; and many friends. Charlie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. All who knew and loved Charlie will miss him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Charlie's home in Torreon. Arrangements for cremation have been handled by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Mountainair.
