NANCY ELIZABETH SINGLETON
Nancy Elizabeth Singleton, 66, a resident of Tijeras for seven years and formerly of Midlothian, Texas, passed away Friday in Albuquerque.
She was born May 6, 1938, in Alice, Texas, to F.D. and Evelyn (Smith) Breedlove. She married Ronald Singleton on Nov. 9, 1979; he survives her of their home in Tijeras.
She is also survived by three sons, Michael and wife Margo Connell of Duncan, Okla., David and wife Teonie Connell of Las Vegas, Nev., and Stuart and wife Kim Connell of Denison, Texas; two stepdaughters, Connie Singleton Perry and husband Bob of Midlothian, and Ronda Singleton Asher and husband Diego of Glenn Heights, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Breedlove Daniels and husband Billy, and Mary Ann Holdrege and husband Jim; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Breedlove.
Nancy E. Singleton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. She was a well-known artist and a member of the Rio Grande Art Association and the Pastel Society of New Mexico. She grew up on ranches in Texas and New Mexico. She was inspired by the horses and ranch animals as well as the cactus, mesquite and the majestic pines and mountains of New Mexico. This upbringing is what created her love of art.
To quote her, she said, "I like to be in the company of other artists because they are both nice people and inspiring examples as they create and produce. I am constantly amazed by the unlimited imagination of artistic people." She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and artist. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A funeral service was held Monday at the First Baptist Church of Moriarty with Pastor Chris Branan officiating. Burial was Wednesday at the Midlothian Cemetery in Midlothian with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Donations may be made to the Christian Children Fund, P.O. Box 26507 Richmond, VA 23261.

IRMA LOUISE BRYAN
Irma Louise Bryan, 64, of Corona passed away Sunday at home in the loving arms of her family.
Irma was born on June 26, 1940, to Arnold and Dorothy (Brendemuhl) Rovey in Glendale, Ariz. She married William Glenn Bryan on April 10, 1960, in Glendale. They moved to Corona in 1973 from Mountainair. Irma worked 24 years in the Corona Public Schools and mostly taught kindergarten.
Irma is survived by her husband, Bill Bryan of the home in Corona; daughter Marilee and husband Bruce McKown of Las Cruces; brothers Ray and Edward Rovey; and two grandchildren, Neli and Brandi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Dorothy Rovey. Irma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A viewing will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Corona Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Terry Aiello officiating. Burial will be at the Bryan Family Cemetery in Corona.

WILBERT ARTHUR JONES
Wilbert Arthur Jones, 92, a resident of Cedar Grove for 26 years, passed away April 6.
Wilbert was born to Arthur and Ethel (Sisler) Jones on Sept. 12, 1912, in Charleston, W.V., a few hours from the family farm in Greenbrier County. He married Isabel Creighton on Nov. 17, 1937. Wilbert diligently and faithfully provided for his family while working for Union Carbide in Charleston; Del Webb Construction and Trico REA in Tucson; and Hughes Aircraft in both Tucson and Fullerton, Calif. In 1961, Wilbert moved his family to Albuquerque, where he worked for Sandia National Laboratories until he retired in 1978.
Following retirement, Wilbert and Isabel moved to Cedar Grove, where Wilbert enjoyed the country life and spent his time cultivating his orchard, tending to his honeybees, hunting, fishing and preparing the best smoked hams and turkeys for miles around. Wilbert was also one of the past presidents of the Edgewood Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his sons, James A. Jones and wife Laurann of Albuquerque, and Perry L. Jones and wife Sherrie of Cedar Crest; daughters Carolyn A. Purkiss of Edgewood and Pat F. Fishburn and husband Bill of Moriarty; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Wellington and Edna Ethel Jones; his wife, Isabel Garland Jones; his sisters, Louise Manhard and Margie Thurman; and his son-in-law Guy B. Purkiss. Wilbert will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
A memorial service for Wilbert will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Edgewood. Interment for both Wilbert and Isabel will be at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood.

KATHLEEN GRACE CORR RUBEN
Kathleen Grace Corr Ruben, 48, passed away April 14 at home with her family and friends. This ended an 18-month struggle against cancer. She is survived by her husband, John Ruben; sons, Jacob and Patrick Corr; stepdaughter, Emma Ruben; stepson, Max Ruben; sisters, Mary Barker, Laura Schwartz and Patty Sorrell; brothers, Steve Ames, John Ames, James Ames and Thomas Ames; and Jacob and Patrick's father, Chris Corr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Carolyn Ames. Kathleen was a loving wife and mother whose strength and courage will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. A memorial service was held Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Moriarty Civic Center. The family would appreciate contributions to a trust fund in Patrick and Jacob Corr's name. This can be done at any Wells Fargo Bank. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty.

STEVEN F. MAPLE
Steven F. Maple, 63, passed away Monday.
A resident of Albuquerque and Tijeras for the past 26 years, Steve was born in Denver, Colo., on Feb. 10, 1942, and also lived in Reno, Nev.
Steve, an Air Force veteran, retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 2002 where he worked extensively on behalf of youth with disabilities. His most recent assignment focused on the Alternative Schools, particularly Sierra Alternative. His many interests included collectible cars, antique clocks (member of the Zia Clock Club), anthropology, paleontology and bird watching. At early ages, his children knew more about dinosaurs than most adults, with their pets including a long-lived iguana.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Catherine Cross Maple; and two sons, Steve S. Maple and daughter-in-law Susan of Rio Rancho, and Jonathan D. Maple of Albuquerque.
A third son, Brian, preceded him in death.
Steve will be remembered during the 6 p.m. Mass on Friday, followed by the rosary, at the Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE in Albuquerque.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Brian Maple Endowment Fund, Very Special Arts of NM, 4904 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

RONALD RENIER LEWIS
Ronald Renier Lewis, 47, a lifetime resident of Edgewood, passed away with his son, Zachary Lewis, on April 17 in Santa Fe.
Ronald was born March 19, 1958, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Richard Renier Lewis and Ella Mae Joyce (Pierson) Lewis.
He is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Joyce Causey of Edgewood; one son, Seth Lewis of Edgewood; three daughters, Charity Lewis of Albuquerque, Alatha Lewis and husband Richard Joyner of Albuquerque, and Attelia Lewis of Los Alamos; one brother, Michael Allen Lewis of Albuquerque; two sisters, Geneva Genice Lewis of Albuquerque and Debbie Brown of Moriarty; and one grandchild, Auron Joyner of Albuquerque.
Ronald R. Lewis will be remembered as a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held for Ronald and his son, Zachary, on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.
