ZACHARY RENIER LEWIS
Zachary Renier Lewis, 13, a lifetime resident of Edgewood, passed away with his father, Ronald R. Lewis, on April 17 in Santa Fe.
He was born Oct. 18, 1991, in Albuquerque to Ronald Renier Lewis and Eleanor Burns (Kemp) Lewis. Zachary was a student at Edgewood Middle School.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Lewis of Edgewood; grandmother, Ella Mae Joyce Causey of Edgewood; one brother, Seth Lewis of Edgewood; three sisters, Attelia Lewis of Los Alamos, Alatha Lewis and husband Richard Joyner of Albuquerque, and Charity Lewis of Albuquerque; one nephew, Auron Joyner; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Zachary Lewis will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held for Zachary and his father, Ronald, on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Moriarty.
The family requests donations be made to the Zach Lewis Memorial Fund, Edgewood Middle School, P.O. Box 2000, Moriarty, NM 87035.
Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.

DANNY LLOYD TARR
Danny Lloyd Tarr, 60, a longtime resident of Moriarty, passed away April 19 in Albuquerque with his family by his side.
He was born Nov. 3, 1944, in Porterville, Calif., to Lloyd Elwood and Virginia Louise (Howard) Tarr. Danny retired from the Central New Mexico Electric Co-op and over the years he was involved in the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 55, Rainbow Assembly 51, Mountainair Volunteer Fire Department and the Moriarty Rotary Club.
Danny is survived by daughters Roberta Tarr, Margaret Trujillo, and Melissa and husband Joel Del Gadillo; six grandchildren, James, Jessica, Jeremy, Angelica, Anthony and Alex; one great-grandchild, Chaira; special friends Dee Tarr, Debby Apgar, Dennis Romero, Marcy Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Terri Hernandez and Bingaman Hernandez.
Danny Tarr will be remembered as a loving father and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty with Father Young officiating. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty.

FREDDIE McMILLAN GARCIA
Freddie McMillan Garcia, 75, of Moriarty went to be with his wife and Lord on April 19 in Albuquerque with his family and friends by his side.
He was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Packard, Ariz., to Seledon and Dorothy (McMillan) Garcia. He retired in 1988 from Presbyterian Hospital. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, The Torrance County Sheriff Posse Association and a longtime contributor of the United Way.
Survivors include his children, Martin Montano, Allan Sanchez, Jesse Montano, Angela and husband Roy Cox, Vincent Montano, Annabelle Gomez, Juliet Ballejos, Jim and wife Bea Carlile, Kathy and husband Frank Rodriquez, Darlene and husband Pete Nolopp; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friends Grant and Karen Preston.
Freddie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Seledon and Dorothy Garcia; an infant child; his first wife, Mrs. Dora Garcia; and his wife, the love of his life, Virginia F. Garcia, who went home Oct. 11, 2002, holding her loving husband's hand.
Freddie M. Garcia will be remembered as a very gentle loving husband, father, good grandpa and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A rosary was recited Sunday at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church in Albuquerque. A viewing was held Monday at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Mass was celebrated Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty with Father Young officiating and Vincent Montano as Lector Minister. Burial followed at the San Antonio Catholic Cemetery in Tajique, with his loving wife, Virginia Garcia.

GABRIEL DAVID EUGENE MARTINEZ
Gabriel David Eugene Martinez, 15, a lifetime resident of Mountainair, passed away April 15 near Belen.
He was born Feb. 21, 1990, in Albuquerque to Lillie Barela and Edward F. Lucero. Gabriel was a student of Mountainair High School and a member of Saint Alice Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents, Edward F. Lucero and Lillie Barela of Mountainair; three brothers, Leonard Robert Martinez of Edgewood, Jimmylee Lucero of Mountainair and Izaiah Lucero of Mountainair; one sister, Vanessa Lucero of Mountainair; grandparents Toby and Lillie Barela and Tillie Martinez; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ermie Martinez, and cousin, Dominic Sedillo.
Gabriel will be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A rosary was recited April 21 at the Mountainair High School Dome. Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair. Burial followed at the Mountainair Catholic Cemetery. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair.

MATTIE "VERNA" CHISUM
Mattie "Verna" Chisum, 96, a lifetime resident of Mountainair, passed away April 30, 2005, in Albuquerque with her loving family by her side.
She was born April 5, 1909, in San Saba, Texas, to Albert R. and Mattie Rebecca (Dove) Hunter. She married James Dallas "Buster" Chisum on May 8, 1929, in Mountainair; he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1973.
Mattie Verna Chisum will be remembered as a member of the 42 Club, a member of the Piņon Nut Extension Club, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy T. Chisum and wife Deloris of Albuquerque; two daughters, Wanda L. Waldrip and husband Stanley of Artesia, and Sue C. Rose and husband Larry of Albuquerque; two brothers, Clarence C. Hunter and wife Inez, and Clifton Forrest Hunter, both of Las Cruces; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Betty Frances Smith and Wilma Lee Chisum; two sons, William "Billy" McKinley Chisum and Larry Dale Chisum; one brother, Otha Hunter; and one sister, Mary Frances Hill.
A funeral service was held Tuesday with Clifford Chisum officiating. Burial followed at the Mountainair Cemetery, next to her loving husband.
Memorial donations may be made to the Vista Care Hospice in Albuquerque or Carlsbad.

BARBARA DIANE HAMILTON
Barbara Diane Hamilton, 57, of Mountainair passed away April 18, 2005.
Barbara was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Nov. 21, 1947, to Earle D. and Margaret V. (Arant) Hamilton. She moved to Mountainair in 2004, coming from Elverta, Calif.
She is survived by her brother, Wesley Hamilton; sister, Donna Tejeda; and a niece, Maras Tejeda, all of California.
Her parents, Earle and Margaret Hamilton, preceded her in death.
No services are scheduled. Cremation was handled by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair.
