GENARO "HENRY" JARAMILLO
Genaro "Henry" Jaramillo, 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 6.
Genaro was born April 19, 1938, in Sedillo. Early in his career he was a cosmetologist and then joined the Albuquerque Public Schools. He retired from APS with 25 years of service in 1992. Henry loved the mountains and returned to his second home in Sedillo as often as he could. He loved his grandchildren and work but his grandchildren and gardening are how he preferred to spend his time. His bright smile will be missed at the flea market where he sold arts and crafts merchandise for 40-plus years.
He has been reunited with his loving daughter, Toni, who preceded him in death on June 6, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Anita; father, Arculano; brothers Ruben, Mike, Frank, Seledonio, Adelaido and Ramon Jaramillo.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Priscilla; sons Mark, and Martin and wife Billie Jo and children Angie, Anthony, and Lila; daughter Melissa Fenstermacher and children Elias and Derick; son-in-law Joe Benbow and Toni's children, April, Sonny and Sara; brother Paul Jaramillo and wife Betty and family; sister Lucy Candelaria and family; sister Placida Lovato and family; brother-in-law Louie Cordova and wife Dolores and family; sister-in-law Rosemary Stapleton and husband Ernest and family.
A Rosary will be recited at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Sedillo today at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Both will be recited by Deacon Larry Carmony. Friends may visit one hour prior to the rosary.

JOE ELIGIO SALAZAR
Joe Eligio Salazar, 81, of Albuquerque passed away June 10 surrounded by his loving family at the home of his son, Jay Salazar, in Moriarty.
Joe was born Dec. 1, 1923, in La Cueva, N.M., to Norberto and Carlota (Herrera) Salazar. He had worked as a custodian for the Albuquerque Public Schools before retiring.
He is survived by his son, Jay Salazar, and his son's wife, Caroline, of Moriarty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norberto and Carlota Salazar, and his wife, Maria Senaida Salazar.
All will remember Joe as a loving husband, father and friend.
A viewing was held Tuesday at the Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Albuquerque, followed by a graveside service. Rabbi Rick Lastrapes officiated.

THOMAS NELSON BROWN JR.
Thomas Nelson Brown Jr., 64, of Rio Rancho passed away June 2.
Thomas was born Feb. 17, 1941, in Easton, Pa., to Thomas Nelson Brown Sr. and Iola Dorothy (Schafer) Brown. Thomas was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by seven children and 21 grandchildren.

ESQUIPULA V. MAES
Esquipula (Esky) V. Maes, 85, a lifelong resident of Progresso and Willard, passed away June 14 at home with her loving family beside her.
Esky was born Aug. 30, 1919, in Progresso to Federico and Refugio (Torres) Velasquez.
She is survived by Bennie Maes, her husband of 56 years; daughters Romualda Garley of Willard, Isabel Maes of Alamogordo, Christina Barnes and husband Gene of Santa Fe and Roberta Pohl and husband Alfred of Chilili; sons Arthur Maes and wife Margie of Albuquerque, Ronald Maes and wife Liz of Tajique and Frank Maes and wife Karen of Willard; two sisters, Rosie V. Maes and Connie Jarvis, both of Albuquerque; a sister-in-law, Josefina Velasquez of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; a sister, Lupe Chavez; and two brothers, Adolfo Velasquez and Tranquilino Velasquez, preceded her in death.
A Rosary was recited June 15 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated June 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows. Father Ronald Stone will be officiating.

MARY BELL MURPHY
Mary Bell Murphy, 82, of McIntosh passed away June 15 at her home with her loving family beside her.
Mary was born July 27, 1922, to Lee and Carrie (Lunsford) Roberts. She was married to David C. Murphy, who preceded her in death March 7, 1991.
Mary loved music. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. All who knew and loved her will miss her.
Mary is survived by her sons, Carl W. Renfrow of McIntosh, Ronald Richard Renfrow of Arkansas, Johnny Lee Renfrow and Stanley Edward Renfrow, both of California; daughters, Wilma Jean Renfrow-Lupin and Linda K. Townsend, both of McIntosh; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A viewing will be held June 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. The funeral service will be at the First Assembly of God church in Estancia on June 17 at 3 p.m. Pastor Michael Dominguez will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountainview Cemetery in Moriarty.

GARTH OSBORN
Garth Osborn, 89, of Albuquerque passed away on June 26.
Garth was born in Mt. Calm, Texas, in 1915. He reported for active duty with the U.S. Army, where he served in battle in Africa, Italy and Germany. He received many honors. Garth spent his life on the cattle trail in Texas and New Mexico. He often shared cowboy stories about the long trail ride moving cattle to the railhead. He enjoyed playing many cowboy songs on his harmonica.
Garth got his FCC licenses when television first began and worked in Shreveport, La. He and his wife then moved to Albuquerque, where he worked for KOAT-TV for many years. Garth spent several years in the Chama area guiding hunters. Garth and Isabel spent much of their time traveling around the United States in their RV. They also enjoyed seeing the world from cruise ships.
Garth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moriarty, where he enjoyed making sure the young people had the opportunity to learn about Jesus as well as the resources to go on mission trips and share Jesus. Garth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel; brother, Ross Osborn; and sisters, Alyne Hamilton and Margie Hedges. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma; two brothers; and three sisters.
A Memorial Service was held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Moriarty.
