ALBERTA ANN FOCHTMAN
Alberta Ann Fochtman, 77, of Moriarty passed away Dec. 5, 2006 in Albuquerque.
Alberta was born Feb. 2, 1929, to Aaron and Mirtle (Burton) Gwaltney in Hoxie, Ark.
She is survived by her sons, David Redd of California and Dennis Redd of Roswell; a brother, Elwood and Felia Gwaltney of Moriarty; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Alberta will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

VICTOR G. BAZALDUA
Victor G. Bazaldua, 83, of Wagon Wheel passed away Dec. 5, 2006 in Albuquerque.
Victor was born Dec. 12, 1922, to Jose and Lupe (Garcia) Bazaldua in Inez Victoria, Texas. Victor was a lifelong resident of Wagon Wheel and was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Francis Chavez.
A Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel with Father William Young officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty.

DONALD ELTON WATTS
Donald Elton Watts, 73, of Willard passed away Dec. 6, 2006 at his home in Willard.
Donald was born Oct. 28, 1933, to Elvis Enlow and Edna Gerthel (Erwin) Watts in Mountainair. He married Bessie Lea Wheatley on Sept. 1, 1952, in Estancia.
Donald is survived by his wife, Bessie Lea Watts of their home; daughter, Norma Sue Watts Lucero and Fredrick of Corrales; brother, Nelson Watts and Judy of Grove, Okla.; sister, Betty Lynn Davis and Don of Sedillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Leslie Gene Watts; and three brothers.
Donald will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, Moriarty.

GAYLAND C. THOMAS
Gayland C. Thomas, 68, of Silver City passed away at his home Nov. 21, 2006.
He was born June 20, 1938 in Albuquerque, the son of Cecil and Pauline (Gates) Thomas.
He is survived by two sisters, Kathy Thomas and Beth Blackwell and husband Ronnie; one brother, Gary Thomas and wife Jane; several nieces and nephews, Bret, Ashley and Katelyn Riley, Charlotte, Richard and Lindsay Griffin, Mark, Melain, Grace, Jacob and Faith Blackwell, Cheryl Blackwell, Brooklyne and Zaine Martin, Mike, Alfreda, Heather and Erin Thomas, Lisa, Kenneth, Amy, Shelby, Daniel and Andrew Lujan, Glenda, JR, Trevor and Garrett Noblitt, Tom, Candy and Kimber Perkins; and a very special buddy, Lyle Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Tina Thomas.
Funeral services were Nov. 24 at Bright Funeral Home. Interment was Nov. 25 in the Estancia Cemetery.

THOMAS EDWARD HOLLON
Thomas Edward Hollon, 76, of Veguita passed away Dec. 7, 2006 in Albuquerque.
Thomas was born June 1, 1930, in Mountainair to Caryll and Mable (Stapps) Hollon. Thomas married Eveline Delice Farley on July 7, 1979, in Albuquerque.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Evaline Delice Hollon of Veguita; stepsons Ronny Scarbrough and Eddy Scarbrough; daughter, Patricia Wimberly; stepdaughters Pam Chandler and Kim Bilbrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside memorial service was held Dec. 13 at Mountainair Cemetery.

CHERYL HELLA-GONZALES
Cheryl Hella-Gonzales, 48, died Dec. 7, 2006.
She was born Aug. 15, 1958 in Marquette, Mich., but lived much of her life in South Carolina and New Mexico.
She is survived by her children, Katie Gonzales and Connie Freeman of Moriarty; her parents, Elwood Hella of Buffalo, S.C., and Pat Hella of Union, S.C.; her siblings, Roy Hella and wife Jane, Loren Adcox and wife Josie, Patty Vaughan and husband Simp, Linda Kimmel and husband Ed, Constance Adcox-Lowden and husband David, and Nanci Diz; five nieces; and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Joan Hella, and her grandparents, Ted and Minnie Hella, Hank and Ethel Conley and Frank Hollowinski.
Services were held Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Estancia.
The family requests memorials may be made to Estancia Baptist Church.

LIZARDO GARCIA
Lizardo Garcia, 86, of Moriarty passed away Dec. 14, 2006 at his home in Moriarty.
Lizardo was born Nov. 28, 1920, to Rosendo and Clorinda (Perez) Garcia in Cabezon, N.M. He was a resident of Moriarty for 37 years and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Filiberto and wife Rosa Garcia of Moriarty, Robert Garcia of Albuquerque; daughters, Clorinda and husband Eduardo Manjarrez of Albuquerque, Margaret Gonzalez of Albuquerque, Glenda and husband Jimmy Valverde of Moriarty, Filipita Dennis of Roswell; brothers, Chris Garcia, Rosendo Garcia and Gonzalo Garcia; sister, Palcida Gurule; 27 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marcella and Irene; brothers, Ruben and Tony; daughter, Betty Lou Lucero; and grandson, Andy Lucero.
A rosary was recited Friday and Mass was Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Moriarty. Interment followed at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
