SHARON ANN WALKER
Sharon Ann Walker, 64, of McIntosh passed away Dec. 26, 2007 at her home in McIntosh.
Sharon was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Dixon and Bernice (Milland) Walker.
Sharon is survived by her stepfather, Herbert Whatley of Carlsbad; sons, Robert Fiala and Darol Fiala; daughter, Cynthia Fiala; brother, Fielding Brian Whatley; sisters, Merrellee Moore and Elaine Fiala; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

ASHLEY MEAGAN HERNON-WELCH
Ashley Meagan Hernon-Welch, 21, of Estancia passed away Dec. 31, 2006.
Ashley was born Nov. 21, 1985, in Albuquerque to Julieanne Welch and Brian Hernon. Ashley graduated from Estancia High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was very involved in her local church, Estancia United Methodist Church. She was a sophomore at Eastern New Mexico University.
Ashley is survived by her mother, Julieanne Welch; father, Brian E. Hernon; brother, Justin Danella and wife Melinda Barela; niece, Jade Danella; half-sister, Jamie Hogan; maternal grandmother, Priscilla Hull; paternal grandmothers, Norma Hernon, Jackie Lockhart; maternal aunts and uncles, Russ Hull, Peter Alden and Joann Danella, Vic and Dana Vero, Reina Chavez; paternal aunts and uncles, Gary and Kim Hernon, Pat Hernon, Kevin Hernon, Scott and Doreen Hernon, Brendon and Lori Hernon, Tom and Kathy Hernon, Hugh Hernon, Donogh Hernon and Jo Hernon; great aunt, Patricia Galgozy; maternal cousins, Anthony Alden, Seth and Chrissy Hobson, Craig and Amy Diegel, Michael Vero; paternal cousins, Belinda Hernon, John and Nicole Hernon, Sean Hernon, Tabby Patrick; and many great cousins and many special friends including her boyfriend, Steve Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roger Hernon; great aunt, Gloria Danella; great uncle, Ralph Danella; maternal great-grandmother, Edna Welch.
A viewing will be held today from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Estancia Middle School Gym with Dave Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Estancia Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ashley Welch Memorial Scholarship Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.

GIOVANNI "JOHN" VERGA
Giovanni "John" Verga, 97, passed away Jan. 1, 2007 in Sandia Park.
John was born in Jersey City, N.J., on Oct. 1, 1909, to Vincenzo and Rosalie Verga. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a great sense of humor, and would show honesty and integrity in all of his dealings with people.
Early in life John helped support the family by working in the greenhouses at age 14, where he learned to grow flowers which turned into his own business with his brothers, Tom, Frank and Sam Verga, first in Mahwah, N.J., then in East Paterson, N.J. until retirement in 1971.
In choosing New Mexico for his retirement, John found a loving community of friends and neighbors, who blessed his remaining years. John married Anastasia (Pitti) Verga in 1938 and enjoyed more than 59 years of marriage.
John enjoyed gardening, especially growing garlic and giving it to friends and family here and throughout the country. He was blessed with good health and enjoyed chopping wood, tending his property and was able to drive up to age 951/2.
John is survived by his children, John Verga Jr. from Sandia Park, Vincent Verga of Los Angeles, Rosalie Verga of Albuquerque and Joseph Verga and wife Heather of Winston Salem, N.C.; three grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and David Verga; his brother, Sam Verga and wife Jane of Flemington, N.J.; one sister, Mary Bush and husband Elmer of Wyckoff, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the French Mortuary Wyoming Chapel in Albuquerque with Pastor George Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Valley Cemetery in Barton, N.M.

WILLIAM THEO DAVIS
William Theo Davis, 75, of Mountainair passed away Jan. 10, 2007 at his home in Mountainair.
William was born April 22, 1931, in Ewing, N.M., to Richard and Gladys (McDonald) Davis. He married Joyce Davis on May 10, 1962, in Los Lunas. He loved hunting and fishing and loved to play the guitar.
William is survived by his wife, Joyce Davis, of their home in Mountainair; sons, Charles Miller of Los Lunas, Mike Davis of Pie Town, N.M., and Jimmy Davis of Los Lunas; daughters, Bobbie Connell, Dawna Dennisson and Tonia Kayser, all of Mountainair; sisters, Myrtle Mitchell of Kingston, Okla., and Cleo Richards of Orlando, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Gladys Davis, and a brother, Donald Davis.
A viewing was held Sunday at the Assembly of God Campgrounds in Mountainair. Funeral services were held Monday at the Assembly of God Campgrounds with Alan Granat and Edwin Rimer officiating. Interment followed at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia.

MYRTLE L. BROWN
Myrtle L. Brown, 79, a resident of Cedar Crest for 43 years, died Feb. 10, 2007.
She was born in Belen on Jan. 25, 1928. Fred and Myrtle were married in Belen on Feb. 10, 1946. She was one of the charter members of Mountainside Methodist Church in Cedar Crest and was instrumental in starting the Sandia Mountain Wildlife Association. She was very active in the Ponderosa Extension Club. Myrtle was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Connie B. Sciacca and husband Carl of Trinidad, Colo., Frederick Arthur Brown II and wife Ina of Harper, Texas; grandchildren, Wade Aubuchon and fiancee Melinda Broderick of Albuquerque, Daryl Aubuchon and wife Louise of Trinidad, Colo.; four great-grandchildren, Kyra, Kolton, Grant and Meg; brother, Tommy Kimsey and wife Frances of Albuquerque; sister, Carolyn Bacher; and many friends.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Fred, in 2006.
At her request, no services are being held. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111.

John Joseph "Joe" Green, 46, of Sandia Park passed away Feb. 4, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Joe was born Feb. 27, 1960, in Houston, to John Victor Green and Patricia Ann (Rauch) Green Dansby. Joe graduated with honors from Pasadena High School in Pasadena, Texas, and from the University of Texas with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. He was a Boy Scout, member of SAE, enjoyed astronomy, hiking, mountain biking, genealogy, working on his Corvette with his wife, seeing his children's soccer games, middle-school band concerts, Marie's baseball games and community plays, creating a computer network at home and many other projects around the yard and home.
He worked in the family trampoline business in high school, at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and at Laguna Industries in New Mexico, where he was chief engineer at his death.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Faye Glass Rauch; mother, Pat Dansby; father, John Green; stepmothers Billie and Pam; wife of 21 years, Jeanne Ramage Green; son, Travis Connor; daughters, Yvonne Patricia and Marie Nicole; brother, Victor Steven Green; sister, Kathleen Elise Green Stelly Esquivel and husband Carlos Esquivel; nephews and nieces, Adam and Dustin Stelly, Alicia and Josh Esquivel; half-brothers and -sisters, Sheila Green Graham, Keith, Marcus and Paula Green; stepbrothers and stepsister, Bart and Brett Dansby and Dianna Dansby Malarkey; maternal aunts and uncles, John Robert Rauch, Jr., Barbara Kay Rauch Pridee Lowthorp and husband, Bruce; paternal uncles and aunts, Doug Green and wife, Nelda, Sherrie Green Scurlock and husband, Robert; and a large number of family and friends in Texas and New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Robert Rauch; paternal grandparents, Victor and Bessie Ruth Saybarac Green; paternal uncle, David Green; and stepfather, R.E. "Eddie" Dansby.
A visitation with family and celebration of life memorial service was held Sunday at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center with a eulogy by Ron Solimon, CEO of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and John Ahmie, CEO of Laguna Industries. Friends were invited to speak about Joe. A second memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Palmer Memorial Church, 6221 Main St, in Houston. The phone number is (713) 529-6196.
