MAE BELLE GENTRY
Mae Belle Gentry, 92, passed away Sept. 20, 2007.
She was born Sept. 26, 1914. Mae Belle was a longtime employee of the State of New Mexico, retiring from the Insurance Department of the Corporation Commission. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church for many years.
She is survived by her four children, George V. Gentry and wife Tommy, Ila Rae Holcomb, Lu Ann Van DeValde and husband Terry, JoLene Gomez and husband Chris; her sister, Rae Kuykendal of Tres Piedras; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mae Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Gentry; son-in-law, Don E. Holcomb; and great-grandson, J.V. Gentry.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at St. John's United Methodist Church in Santa Fe on Monday. A short reception followed.

JULIAN LUCERO
Julian Lucero, 78, of Moriarty passed away Sept. 20, 2007 with his loving family at his side.
Mr. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 69, and was employed by Goodrich Roofing for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Veronica; five children, Katie (Catherine) Powers and husband Ed, Orlando Lucero Sr., JoAnn Garcia and husband Johnnie, JoAnn Lopez and husband Ray and a special friend who is considered a daughter, Laree Perez; four brothers, Meraldo Lucero and wife Lucy, Isidro Lucero and wife Pat, Bobby Lucero and wife Pauline, and Clyde Lucero and wife Margo; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Albuquerque with Father Juan Mendez presiding. A committal service with full military honors followed at the Santa Fe national Cemetery.

Barry R. Shroyer, 54, passed away suddenly on Sept. 14, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; son, John; daughter, Ellen; parents, John and Margret; brother, Ed; and sister, Jaynne.
Jeffery W. Shroyer, 50, passed away Sept. 23, 2007 after a motorcycle accident.
He is survived by his wife, Kim; daughter, Johanna; parents, John and Margret; brother, Ed; and sister, Jaynne.
Barry and Jeff loved the life they lived and will not be forgotten in the lives of their family and friends.
CLARA L. KIRKWOOD
Clara L. Kirkwood, 75, passed away Oct. 6, 2007, with her family at her side.
Clara was born April 28, 1932, in Hominy, Okla., to Dick and Lennis (Gregory) Passmore. Clara married Charles Kirkwood on March 14, 1962. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Clarissa "Kitty" and husband Olin Solomon of Estancia; son, Ray Clark of Mountainair; daughter, Cassie and husband William Caster of Mountainair; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Carmelita and husband Leroy LaCrone of Skiatook, Okla.; brothers, Joe Passmore and wife Norma Jean of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Pat Passmore and wife Carol of Hominy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Lennis Passmore; and sisters, Launis Kastl and Billye Heard.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Mountainair with Richard Spencer officiating. Interment followed at the Mountainair Cemetery.

PLACIDO D. GARCIA
Placido D. "Jake" Garcia, 84, of Albuquerque passed away Oct. 9, 2007, at his home in Albuquerque.
Placido was born April 14, 1923, in Garita, N.M., to Sotero and Dometila (Lucero) Garcia. Placido married Carlota Blea on Nov. 23, 1944, in Trujillo, N.M.
Placido is survived by his son, Robert Garcia of Albuquerque; daughters, Virginia Garcia of Albuquerque, and Corinne Rose and husband David of Corsicana, Texas; brothers, Mel Garcia and wife Mary, and Dan Garcia and wife Phyllis; sisters, Molly Marez, and Angie Jimenez and husband Joe; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nicasio Garcia; sisters, Pimenia Martinez and Senovia Perea; and grandson, Johnny Michael Garcia.
A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. A Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Father William Young officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty. LINA R. LOPEZ
Lina R. Lopez, 53, of Stanley passed away Oct. 10, 2007, in Albuquerque with her loving family beside her.
Lina was born Feb. 15, 1954, in Hobbs, N.M., to Benjamin G. and Cecilia (Rodriguez) Quiroz. Lina married Joe Gene Lopez on Dec. 16, 1988, in Moriarty.
Lina is survived by her parents, Benjamin and Cecilia Quiroz of Lovington, N.M.; husband, Joe Lopez of Stanley; daughters, Yvonne Pena of Arlington, Texas, Victoria Lopez of Stanley and Sarah Lopez of Stanley; brothers, Ben Quiroz and wife Josie, Ismael Quiroz and wife Laura, Sammy Quiroz and wife Anna, Rudy Quiroz and wife Cyndi; sisters, Rachel Holt and husband Charlie, Terri Willis and husband Brad; and one grandson, Seth Boydstun.
A Rosary was recited Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. A Mass was held Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel with Father William Young officiating. Interment followed at the Stanley Cemetery.

JOHNNY BARRY TRUJILLO
Johnny Barry Trujillo, 45, of Gallup passed away Oct. 9, 2007, in Belen.
Johnny was born Sept. 25, 1962. in Gallup to Arthur Trujillo and Rita Leyba.
Johnny is survived by his mother, Rita Leyba of Gallup; grandmother, Lillian Anaya-Leyba; daughters, Destenii Mykal Trujillo of Portales, Kristyn Rae Trujillo of Clovis, Heaven-Leigh Trujillo of Estancia; brothers, Chris Trujillo, Moses Trujillo; and sister, Margaret Leyba.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Joseph Trujillo.
Memorial services were held Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Estancia with Virgil Higgins officiating.
