ROBERT EDWARD CHRISTIAN
Robert Edward Christian, 61, of Estancia passed away Nov. 10, 2007 in Albuquerque.
Robert was born July 29, 1946, in Burns, Colo., to Laurice E. and Betty Eloise (James) Christian. Robert was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society.
Robert is survived by his brother, Larry Christian and wife Rosemary of Estancia; and sister, Margaret Viola Hisel of Estancia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Estancia with President Virgil Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at the McIntosh Cemetery in McIntosh.

PATRICK LOGAN
Patrick Logan, 63, a longtime resident of the East Mountains area, passed away Nov. 12, 2007, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 15, 1944.
He leaves behind a daughter, Shawne, her husband, Billy, and two grandchildren; and two sons, Patrick and his wife Valerie, and Jason.
He will be missed by all who loved him. He was a devoted teacher, father and fanatic Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Memorial services for "Pat in the Hat" will be held Sunday about 2 p.m. at Hockett Field in the East Mountains. Please come join the family to celebrate his life.

CARLOTA G. VIGIL
Carlota G. Vigil, 90, of Torreon passed away Nov. 28, 2007, in Albuquerque.
Carlota was born Oct. 3, 1917, to Jose and Soledad (Vigil) Garcia in Manzano.
Carlota is survived by her husband, Ernesto Vigil of Torreon; sons, Ernie Vigil and wife Melba of Torreon, Gabriel V. Sanchez of Albuquerque, Dan Vigil and wife Donna of California, Abe Vigil and wife Antoinette of Torreon; daughters, Selena Lujan and husband Rosendo of Torreon, Carol Chavez and husband Carmel of Albuquerque, Onila Garcia and husband Mariano of Cedar Crest; sister, Jessie Chavez; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.
A Rosary was recited Friday and Mass was held Saturday at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon with Father Vencent P. Chavez, Father Virgil and Father Ron Stone officiating. Interment followed at the Torreon Cemetery in Torreon.

LOUISE PAMELYA TURNER KITE
Louise Pamelya Turner Kite, 93, of Gran Quivira passed away Dec. 2, 2007, in Albuquerque.
Louise was born Dec. 26, 1913, to Jones and Myrtle (Russell) Turner in Emory, Texas. She was the oldest of 13 children. She married Jack L. Kite on May 19 and was married for 74 years and 11 months at the time of his death.
They had four children, Jackie Louise Kite, who preceded her in death at the age of 62, Louis Kite and wife Bea of Carlsbad, Melvin Kite and wife Carol of Kingman, Ariz., and Paul Kite and wife Gale of Mountainair.
She is also survived by three sisters, Pauline Trout of Belen, Essie Joe Chappel of Kingman and Julia Meadlock of Kingman; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of the Gran Quivira Church. She will be missed dearly by all.
Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Gran Quivira Church with Darrell Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at White Lakes Cemetery.

ELLA DORA PHILLIPS GOSSETT
Ella Dora Phillips Gossett, 92, passed away on Dec. 3, 2007.
She was born in Mt. Sterling, Mo., on Nov. 14, 1915. Her parents, William Louis and Katie Anne Schroeder, were German. Ella had seven sisters and two brothers, all have passed away but two sisters, Rose Prussene and Florence Schmitz.
The Schroeder family moved to Drake, Mo., when Ella was a baby. Ella met Roscoe Phillips and they married in Dec. 19, 1933. They have three daughters, Phyllis Mae, Mary Ann and Rosalie. The family moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1946, then moved to Albuquerque in 1949.
Phyllis married Homer Corvin, and they have two sons and three daughters. Mary Ann married Joe M. Anaya, they have four sons and two daughters. Rosalie married Dee Miller, she has two sons and three daughters.
Roscoe passed away in January 1977 after a brief illness. Ella moved to Stanley and lived with Homer and Phyllis Corvin for four years. Ella's past months were spent with her daughter, Mary Ann, at her home in Stanley.
Ella loved life, loved all her big family and was always happy and loved to visit with her friends and neighbors. Ella had 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and one deceased great-great grandchild.
A viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Stanley Union Church in Stanley with Rev. Richard Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Garden Cemetery in Albuquerque.

JANETTA F. STEWART
Janetta F. Stewart, 47, of Corona passed away Dec. 13, 2007, at her home in Corona with her loving family beside her.
Janetta was born Oct. 24, 1960, in Belen to Claude and Anne (Black) Foster. Janetta married Gilbert R. Stewart Jr. on July 16, 1986, in Corona. Janetta is a New Mexico Military Institute graduate and a PIMA Medical graduate and a member of the Corona Baptist Church.
Janetta is survived by her stepfather, John Tracey; husband, Gilbert R. Stewart Jr. of Corona; daughters, Sarah Stewart and Alexandra Stewart of Corona; sisters, Faith Hignight, Amy Nicholson, Phoebe Cogdill; and granddaughters, Angelica Stewart and Sophiya Golightly.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Corona High School Auditorium with Cal West officiating. Interment followed at the Corona Cemetery in Corona.

JEAN VANAMAN
Jean VanAman, 58, of Moriarty passed away Dec. 15, 2007, in Albuquerque after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Jean was born June 10, 1949, in Angola, Ind., to John and Julianna (Wegh) VanAman. She was a Headstart teacher and a freelance journalist for the Mountain View Telegraph and Estancia Valley Citizen newspapers.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband, Tom Chancey; sons Thomas F. Murphy and Shane R. Murphy; daughter Erin R. Murphy; and sister Linda VanAman.
Memorial donations may be made to charities or nonprofits working to protect the environment, researching women's cancer issues or promoting peace and spiritual awareness.
