Elizabeth Dougherty
Elizabeth Culpepper Dougherty died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Los Alamos Medical Center.
She had lived in Los Alamos since 1950.
Survivors include her husband, John; four children, John and Arthur, both of Albuquerque, and Clinton and Elizabeth, both of California.
A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos.

Hulen Stallings
Hulen "Hoops" Stallings, 91, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Santa Fe.
He was born Oct. 14, 1908, in Bee, Okla. He moved to Los Alamos in 1946, where he worked for Zia Company for three years before transferring to the University of California. He retired in 1971.
He was the head of two families. In his first family, he is survived by his son James Stallings and wife Lucy; his daughter Wilma and husband "Bunny" Powell; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Beatrice Raines, and by a son, Robert "Bobby" Stallings.
In his second family, he is survived by his wife, Pita. They had been married 34 years at the time of his death. Survivors also include her two sons, three daughters, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by two sisters, Florene Butler and Christine Anderson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. Interment will follow at Guaje Pines Cemetery.

GEORGIANNA DAHL
Georianna Wright Hartzell Dahl, 67, of Boulder, Colo., died Jan 26, 2000.
She was born Feb. 27, 1932, in Minneapolis. She was a direct descendent of Abraham Clark, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Minnesota, where she also was an instrucor in natural sciences. She studied music history in the graduate program at Harvard University. From 1954 to 1958, she performed follow-up studies of cardiac surgery patients at Harvard University Medical School.
She moved to New Mexico in 1968, and spent several years in Los Alamos. During the 1970s and 80s, she served as executive vice president of the Board of Directors of the Opera Guild of the Santa Fe Opera, as education chairman for the Santa Fe Opera, and as a member of the board of directors of the Albuquerque Opera Theater. She also was a member of the Board of Directors of the Fine Arts Ministry of Downtown Albuquerque, the American Association of University Women, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Newcomers' Club in Evergreen, Colo. She had recently been active in community Bible studies and was a co-founder of the women's group in Boulder.
Survivors include her husband, James of Boulder; two sisters, Mary Fritz of Belleville, Wis., and Emily Dewhirst of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Elizabeth of Denver; and three sons, Stephen of Bethesda, Md., Timothy of Denver, and David of Boulder.
A memorial service was held on Feb. 3, 2000, at Cornerstone Church of Boulder Valley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the education fund of Cornerstone Church of Boulder Valley, 1190 S. Broadway, Boulder, Colo. 80303.

TONY PRICE
Tony A. Price, 62, died March 2, 2000, after suffering the consequences of a stroke for nearly two years.
Price was known as the "Atomic Artist." He spent about 30 years buying interesting metal parts from Los Alamos National Laboratory's scrap yard and transforming them into art pieces.
His largest work, "The Last Salt Talks," was composed of numerous pieces deliberating the end of the Nuclear Age.
His works included religious figures, kachinas, and sound-producing arrays.
A major piece was a 20-foot tall item supporting dangling steel tubes.
A "rock concert" was created when people threw rocks at the tubes.
Survivors include his children, Roseanna, Zara and Jed.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Synergia Ranch, off Interstate 25, south on N.M. 14, past the penitentiary, turn west on County Road 45, about two miles to the Tony Price sign. More information is available by calling 438-9873.

GEORGE BELL
A memorial service for George Irving Bell Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Fuller Lodge.
Bell, former director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, died in Los Alamos on May 28, 2000, at the age of 73.
Survivors include his wife, Ginny, of Los Alamos, whom he married in 1956; children, George Jr. and Carolyn Bell-Prince; grandchildren Kaitlin Prince, Austin Prince and Derek Prince; and sister, Barbara Bell of the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics

TED LOBB Jr.
Clarence Theodore (Ted) Lobb Jr., 79, a resident of Bosque Farms, died Sunday, June 11, 2000.
He had many friends at Bosque Farms Senior Center, Peralta United Methodist Church and in Los Alamos, where he was a long-time resident.
"We are thankful for the time we had with him and will miss him deeply," family and friends said.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Hattie Lobb; an infant brother; and a sister, Daisy Sandoval.
Survivors include his wife Maxine; son, Ted and wife Beckie Lobb; daughter Carol Teresa and husband Rob Casey; daughter, Jean Wegner; daughter, Peggy and husband Larry Hollingsworth; son, Billy Joe Shelton; and son, Terry Whitmore; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, New Mexico Chapter, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, Albuquerque, N.M. 87110.

DIANE PFAFF
Diane Pfaff, 49, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in Phoenix.
She was born Nov. 22, 1950, in St. Paul, Minn. She was a long-time resident of Los Alamos, where her activities included managing the bookstore for the Los Alamos Historical Society and the bookstore at Bandelier National Monument. She also volunteered as a docent for the Fetchin Institute in Taos, and cared for people as a registered nurse in Arizona. She loved painting, photography and the outdoors.
Survivors include her daughter, Lindsey Pfaff; her parents, Duane and Mary Lou Kriol; two brothers, Howard Kriol and Steven Kriol; and a sister, Corinn Robinson.
Funeral services and burial will be in Phoenix on Saturday, Aug.12, 2000.
A memorial service will be held in Los Alamos at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church.
