DAMACIO SENA, 80, of Corazon died Wednesday at La Vida Encantada Nursing and Rehab Center after a long illness.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a lifetime cattle rancher. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Inez and Augustina Sena; mother of his children, Helen Chevix; and sister, Rosie Padilla.
He is survived by his daughter, Ellavern Maloof and husband George of Santa Fe; sons, Victor Ortiz and wife Mary of Albuquerque, and Vernell Senaa and wife Dolores of Las Vegas, N.M.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Felipita Maes of Tucumcari, Celina Quintana of Clovis, and Isabel Gonzales of Tucumcari; brothers, Cecilio Gurule and wife Rita of Las Vegas, N.M., and Joe Gurule and wife Carmen of Santa Cruz; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Rogers Chapel and also at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at Rogers Chapel and Sunday and Monday all day until time of rosary where family and friends may call.

MARY P. GARCIA, 80, of Española died Sunday after a short illness.
She loved word puzzles and cooking for her family.

He served in World War II. He worked at the La Fonda Hotel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Gonzales; and brother, Benny Gonzales.

A graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, she taught school in numerous northern New Mexico communities.
