DAMACIO SENA, 80, of Corazon died Wednesday at La Vida Encantada Nursing and Rehab Center after a long illness.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a lifetime cattle rancher. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Inez and Augustina Sena; mother of his children, Helen Chevix; and sister, Rosie Padilla.
He is survived by his daughter, Ellavern Maloof and husband George of Santa Fe; sons, Victor Ortiz and wife Mary of Albuquerque, and Vernell Senaa and wife Dolores of Las Vegas, N.M.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Felipita Maes of Tucumcari, Celina Quintana of Clovis, and Isabel Gonzales of Tucumcari; brothers, Cecilio Gurule and wife Rita of Las Vegas, N.M., and Joe Gurule and wife Carmen of Santa Cruz; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Rogers Chapel and also at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at Rogers Chapel and Sunday and Monday all day until time of rosary where family and friends may call.

ESMENIA O. CORDOVA, 81, of Pecos died Monday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Cordova; son, Glenn Cordova; daughter, Chavela Cordova; parents, Melquidas and Josefita Ortiz; brothers, Ernesto, Mike, Paul and Moises Ortiz.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn George and husband Eddie of Santa Fe, Judy Salgado and husband Herb of Jacona; sons, Larry Ortiz and wife Mary Ann of Pecos, Ernie Gabaldon and fiancé Mary Helen Vigil of Jacona, and Arnold Gabaldon and wife Christine of Jacona; sisters, Theresa Hendren and husband Victor of Pecos, Celina Roybal and husband Norberto of Pecos and Carmen Ornelas of Pecos; brothers, Joe Ortiz and wife Cecilia of Pecos, Toby Ortiz and wife Helen of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. rosary at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the same church with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

MARY P. GARCIA, 80, of Española died Sunday after a short illness.
She loved word puzzles and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemente Garcia; father, Hipolito Pacheco; mother, Julianita Barreras; sons, Eddie and Richard Garcia; brother, Eloy Pacheco; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her daughters, Viola Salas and companion Armando of Albuquerque, Ida Gutierrez and husband Tony of La Puente, Calif., Diana Garcia and companion Gilbert Carillo of Socorro and Dolores Blood and husband Ray of Albuquerque; sons, Polo Garcia and wife Florence of Albuquerque, Roy Garcia, Clemente Garcia and wife Alice, all of Española and Kenneth Garcia and wife Shawna of Albuquerque; brothers, Benjamin Pacheco and wife Virginia of Carson, Calif., Joe Pacheco of Albuquerque, Fernando Pacheco and wife Lala of Albuquerque, Arturo Pacheco and wife Cipri of Cypress, Calif., Luciano Pacheco and Alex Barreras, both of Albuquerque; sisters, Marian Martinez of Cypress, Calif. and Florence of Albuquerque; 27 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. today with rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.

RUDY EUGENE GARCIA, 45, of Española died Friday at the Los Alamos Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Medardo Garcia Sr., and brother, Mateo Garcia.
He is survived by his mother, Octabiana Garcia; brothers and sisters, Susie Espinoza of Española, Sylvia Marker of Oklahoma, Marcella Garcia of Española, Elaiza Montoya of Arroyo de Agua, Ramona Morfin of Salitrar, Juanita Vialpando of Cañones, Medardo Garcia of Mesa de Poleo, Karla Espinoza, Ruthann DeHerrera, Arleen Chavez and Monica Coss, all of Colorado, Mayo Martinez of Española and Janet Serrano of Rio Rancho.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

MAXIMINO GONZALES, 85, of Pojoaque died Sunday.
He served in World War II. He worked at the La Fonda Hotel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Gonzales; and brother, Benny Gonzales.
He is survived by his daughter, Irmalinda Herrera; son, Jimmy Romero and children, grandson, Dennis Sandoval; granddaughter, Angel Sandoval; sisters, Maida Ortiz, Esther Romero, Mary Todd, Henrietta Tixier and husband Mariano; brothers, Manuel Gonzales and wife Lola, Jimmy Gonzales and wife Florence; and many other relatives.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. today with rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Pojoaque. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at 3 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe parish immediately following burial.

MARIA PIEDAD GRIEGO, 88, died Saturday after a short illness.
A graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, she taught school in numerous northern New Mexico communities.
She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Albuquerque.
She is survived by daughters, Helen Ortiz and husband, Gilbert; Jodi Baugh and husband, Kenneth; sister, Annie Encinias; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today with rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at the Berardinelli Family Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Cathedral, 131 Cathedral Place with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Carmelite Nuns, 49 Mount Camel Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
