Mr. Richard M. Gonzales, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 7, 1999. Mr. Gonzales was the beloved husband of 36 years to Mrs. Dolores Gonzales. He is also survived by one son, Richard Anthony Gonzales and wife, Melissa; six daughters Barbara Ann Tanuz, Mary Carmen Gallegos and husband, Jose, Laura Lucero and husband, David Sr., Betty Bryant, Jeanette Mora and husband, Art and Carmen Carstello; one sister, Eloisa Gonzales and husband, Manuel; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mr. Gonzales was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 49. Visitation for Mr. Gonzales will be Tuesday evening after 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, corner of Tennessee and Lomas, with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Father Luis Jaramillo, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 49. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Joey Gallegos, Arthur Boesiger, David Lucero Jr., Tommy Lucero, Danny Lucero and Dominic Garcia. Honorary will be Andrew Cordova and Rickee Gonzales Jr. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.

Harry Greatbatch, 82, born April 16, 1916, went home to the Lord on March 8, 1999. Harry retired in 1966 from the New York City Police Dept., 48th Precinct and moved from Croton Falls, NY in 1974 to Rio Rancho. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the Army in the Aleutians. He was preceded in death by his wife, Letitia (Quinn) Greatbatch, February 2, 1996; and grandson, Tommy Campbell, September 14, 1989. He is survived by his daughter, Eileen and husband, Tom Campbell; granddaughter, Kelly Campbell and husband, Ron Schorr; great-grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Schorr, Alexis Schorr; son, Harry W. Greatbatch and wife, Marilyn; grandson, Harry W. Greatbatch Jr., Sean Greatbatch; great-granddaughters, Auzra Greatbatch, Frances Greatbatch; son, John Greatbatch and wife, Carolyn Rae; grandson, William Greatbatch; brothers, Edwin Greatbatch, Russell Purdy of New York and Harold Purdy of Arizona. Services will be on Thursday, March 11, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde. Arrangements by Vista Verde Memorial Park, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark, Rio Rancho, NM.

Simone Grevey, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 1999. She was born in Smyrna, Greece on October 27, 1917. Her family moved to Paris, France when she was three years old and she was raised and educated there. During World War II, she met her husband, Joseph, in Paris where they were married in 1946. Shortly thereafter, Simone joined her husband in Albuquerque where he and his brothers, Jack Grevey and Maurice Liberman, had founded the Duke City Lumber Company. Simone is survived by her husband, Joseph of the family home; daughters, Helen Grevey and husband, Jay Hertz of Albuquerque, and Marianne Fischer and husband, Ruy of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three grandchildren, Alexander Fischer of Sao Paulo and Vivian and Suzana Fischer of New York City; brother-in-law, Jack Grevey and wife, Estelle Rosenbloom Grevey; and niece, Eileen Grevey Hillson and husband, David of Albuquerque. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in Sao Paulo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Apostolos and Chrisanthie Stamboli and sister, Alexandra Stamboli. Simone was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. George Greek Orothodox Church, 308 High St. SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Mrs. Teresa M. Hernandez died Sunday in Albuquerque at the age of 61. Funeral services for Mrs. Hernandez will take place in Clovis, NM. Local arrangements by the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.

Harold George Vincent Jeblick, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 43 years, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 1999. Harold was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 5, 1915, the son of Henry G. and Carrie Jeblick. He married Olive Victoria Carlson Jeblick on September 14, 1942. Olive preceded him in death on July 5, 1993. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 14, 1992 with a family reunion on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where they met and were married within two months. Cremation has taken place. It is not a time for grief, but a time to rejoice because Harold and Olive are rejoined in bonded love for all eternity. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Danny Alfred Lee Sr., 40, of Shiprock, New Mexico, passed away Friday, March 5, 1999 at the San Juan Manor in Farmington. Danny is survived by two sons, Danny Lee Jr. of Shiprock and Robbin Lee of Farmington; two daughters, Carrie Ann Jackson and Corsita Lee, both of Albuquerque. Funeral services are scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in Kirtland, NM at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home Chapel with Andy Harvey officiating the services. Leo F. Lewinson, 91, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, March 6, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris of the family home; daughters, DoAnn Jasper and Riette Mugleston, both of Santa Fe; sister, Jane Kahn of Santa Fe; five grandchildren, Amy McMillan of Santa Fe; Karen Little of Las Cruces, Leslie Porter of Sandia Park, Jeff Mugleston of Taos and Cheryl Mugleston of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren; and five nephews. Mr. Lewinson was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and of the University of Pennsylvania. He was Past President of Congregation Albert and a volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital. Nestorita Lucero, 76, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family in an Albuquerque hospital after a short illness on Sunday, March 7, 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Del Rio Senior Citizens, and she loved to play bingo there with all her friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delfin in 1998; her parents, Doroteo and Elfiga Castillo; two sisters, Reina Peralta and Rose Chilimidos. She is survived by five children, Rachel Lucero of Albuquerque, Kathy Serafin and husband, Dennis of Albuquerque, Glenda Villegas and husband, Danny of Albuquerque, Gloria Lucero of Albuquerque, and Del Lucero of Belen; six grandchildren, Eric Villegas, Jason Cordova, Vanessa Villegas, Cortez Lovato, Nick Serafin, and Chris Lucero; two sisters, Tita Gabaldon of Belen and Edwina Dominguez and husband, Pete of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Milly Castillo and wife, Felia of Los Angeles, CA, and Victor Castillo and wife, Gloria of Pine Top, AZ. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Albert Marcelli, 68, passed away at home on Saturday, March 6, 1999. He was born in Dawson, New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque in 1950. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Albert is survived by three sisters, Anne Angeletti of Spoleto, Italy, Rose and husband, Jeff Maddaleni of Raton, NM, and Josephine Andazola of Albuquerque; two brothers, Charles Marcelli and wife, Carol of Gallup, NM, Frank Marcelli and wife, Ernestine of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 10, 1999 with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. and mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. William "Bill" Charles Martinelli, 81, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, has gone home to be with his wife, Margaret Ann. He passed away peacefully at his home in the care of his loving son, Denis, March 5, 1999. He is survived by his three sons, Rusty Martinelli and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque, Denis Martinelli of Albuquerque and Joe Martinelli and wife, Marian of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Ricky and wife, Burgandy, Corrin, Brandee and Jamie Martinelli; one great-grandchild, Tyler Martinelli; cousins, Frank and Charles Martinelli of Gallup; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Catholic Church and retired in 1991. When he was able, he loved to take his sons to the Lobo Basketball and Dallas Football games. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and adored his grandchildren. Rosary will be recited, Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Randall Clinton Maydew, beloved husband, father, step-father and grandfather, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 6, 1999. He was 75 years old. Randall was born on January 29, 1924 in Cora, KS. Randall was an Army Air Corps B-29 Navigator in WWII. He received a BS in 1948 and an MS in 1949 in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Colorado. Randall retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1991 after a 34-year career. Randall was an active member of Central United Methodist Church. He volunteered at the National Atomic Museum and was an active member of the SW Writers. His passion was gardening. Randall is preceded in death by his father, Kermit; his sister, Edra Kay; and his brother, Bob. Randall is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his children, Jenan Gonzales and husband, Jerry from Albuquerque, NM, Randall Paul from Albuquerque, NM and Barbara Maydew and husband, Kevin Buescher from Los Alamos, NM; his step-children, Susan Wilson and husband, Sam from Estancia, NM, Steven Pannell and wife, Regina from Las Cruces, NM, and Sandra Freeman from Mesa, AZ; and ten grandchildren, Mark and Ryan Maydew, Tanja and Ashley Thompson, Jerome Gonzales, Sara and Derek Freeman, Brian Wilson, and Cassie and Kyle Pannell. Randall is also survived by his mother, Lelia from Lebanon, KS; brothers, Gene and wife, Thelma of Pocatello, ID, Marvin and wife, Ona Mae from Topeka, KS, and Norris and wife, Vera from Lebanon, KS; sister-in-law, Ava Lee Maydew from Portis, KS; brother, Gary and wife, Nancy from Ames, IA; sister, Ann Norwood and husband, Don from Hastings, NE; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held. "Chris" Christopher Milton, 40, was struck by a car while riding his bicycle on March 5, 1999. He operated Chris's Upholstery Shop in Albuquerque since 1989. He was born on November 21, 1958 in Pullman, Washington. He was a graduate of Pocatello High School in Pocatello, Idaho, and the upholstery program at Idaho State University Technical-Vocational Institute. He loved doing upholstery and was enjoying upholstering some chairs the day he was struck. He is survived by his two children, Barry Christopher Ore and Kelly Jean Ore, and their mother, Lin Craft; his father and step-mother, Tom and Pat Lewis Ore; his mother and step-father, Lois and Joseph Thompson; his brother, Douglas Henry Ore; step-brothers, Scott Thompson and Les Thompson; step-sisters, Melanie Thompson, Kate Miller and Julie Miller; five nephews; four nieces; and his special friend and companion, Donna Diane Dean. He was a skilled craftsman and natural athlete. He especially enjoyed skiing and riding his bicycle. He was very kind-hearted, fun-loving, generous, and caring. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service for Chris will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Avenue NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 881-9626, at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 1999.

Paul Peyerl, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on March 6, 1999. He and his wife, Anna, moved to Albuquerque from Miami, Florida in January 1989 after retiring from Eastern Air Lines as a Lead Machinist. He is survived by his wife; son, Fred Peyerl and daughter-in-law, Susan; daughter, Eva Maria and son-in-law, Michael West; two grandchildren, Freddie and Jenifer Peyerl; sister, Hilda Zucksdorf and sister-in-law, Emmy Peyerl. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., March 10th, at St. Chad's Episcopal Church, 7171 Tennyson Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.

Verniece E. Proctor, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Saturday, March 6, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Roger Proctor and wife, Kay of Albuquerque and Daryl Proctor and wife, Marilyn of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Carol May Johnson and husband, Bill of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Susan Kay Gonzales and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, Patrick Scott Proctor and wife, Melissa of Albuquerque, Jenna Claire Proctor, Kyla Ellen Proctor, Jordan Theresa Proctor, all of Santa Fe; and great-grandchildren, Melissa, Emily and Cody. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clark Almon Proctor; son, Terry Ray Proctor; and grandson, Kevin Ray Proctor. Verniece was a member of the Progress Club for many years. She loved knitting, crocheting, reading cookbooks and baked the best apple pies. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Mr. Sanchez, a former resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, March 5, at Desert Hot Springs, California. Surviving are his wife, Eva and Ching-Gau; a brother, Tom and his wife, Irene; several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be said Thursday, March 11, 6:15 p.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE.

Manuel Rito Sanchez, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 6, 1999. Mr. Sanchez was born on March 9, 1919 in Manzano, NM to Teodoro and Juanita Sanchez; he was a parishioner and usher of Holy Family Catholic Church; he served his Country during World War II in the United States Army; he was a Life-member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and retired from Sandia Labs. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his parents and a son Jerry Sanchez. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lucy Montano Sanchez of the family home; sons, Leroy Sanchez and wife, Frances, Ernest Sanchez and wife, Victoria, Bill Sanchez and wife, Antoinette; daughters, Lupe Gutierrez and husband, Rick, Anna Sanchez; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Sanchez. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic church, with the Reverend Jack Clark Robinson as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. John F. Schorr, age 91, and a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years died Sunday, March 7, 1999 in a local hospital following an illness. Mr. Schorr is survived by one daughter, Barbara Gonzales and her husband, Bert of Albuquerque; two sons, William J. Schorr and his wife, Judith of Albuquerque, and John F. Schorr Jr. and his wife, Mary L. of Moriarty, NM; one sister, Dorothy Satriana; two brothers, Frank A. Schorr of Rio Rancho and and William T. Schorr of Bosque Farms; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Schorr was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 1999, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Mrs. Julia R. Silva, 59, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 7, 1999. Mrs. Silva is survived by her loving family; three sons, Anthony Silva and wife, Juanita, Andrew Silva and wife, Diana, and Robert Silva and wife, Kathy; one sister, Erma Gauna and husband, Adolfo; three brothers, Alfonso Ortiz, Larry Ortiz and wife, Ida and Jay Ortiz and wife, Sophie; seven loving grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Nicole, Ruben, Mary and Andy. Mrs. Muriel D. Souza, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on March 7, 1999. Mrs. Souza was the beloved wife of 49 years to Mr. John A. Souza. She is also survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Persinger and husband, Richard, Carol D. Ellwood and husband, Charles Andrew, Drusilla P. Benavidez and husband, Porfirio and Alice J. Vigil and husband, Harold; one sister, Bernice Kaneakua; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. Visitation for Mrs. Souza will be Wednesday afternoon after 12:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. and a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. Bonnie Tull, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Friday, March 5, 1999. She is survived by her children, Carol Smythe and husband, Bob of Salida, CO, Alvin Tull and wife, Ginny of Albuquerque, Linda Moore and husband, Nate of Prewitt, NM, Joyce Tull of Albuquerque, and James E. Tull and wife, Tracy of Angleton, TX; eight grandchildren, Lynette, Mike, Joe, Mike, Susan, Dale, Gene and Tandi; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tull graduated from high school in Joy, OK where she was an honor student and lettered in basketball. She then completed business school in Albuquerque. She always had a heart for underprivileged and homeless children, and she helped care for several children over the years. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with The Rev. Dr. C.A. Kennedy and Pastor Rueben Ramirez officiating.
