March 10, 2002. Frances W. Scott, our beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend went to be with our Lord Jesus. Frances was born in Albuquerque on March 28, 1938 to Ernest and Babe Brown formally of Albuquerque now of Clovis, NM. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Brown. Frances leaves behind a husband, David Scott of Belen, NM; four sons, Daniel Denton and wife, Bobbie of Albuquerque, NM, James E Denton and AnnMarie Barry of Los Lunas NM, Dean D Denton and wife, Lisa of Owsso, Ok, David Lee (Boo) Scott and wife, Loretta of Belen, NM; and one daughter, Wanda Shiflett and husband, Bill of Stratford, OK. Frances leaves behind one sister, Darlene Howard and husband, Don of Clovis NM; and four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends whom will all miss her dearly. Frances loved the outdoors, her mule, Velvet, and she loved riding her 4-wheeler with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly and the comfort lies in that we will all see her again. A Service will be held in her honor on Friday March 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Casa Colorado Church south of Belen.

Mary Paul Raglin Scott, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died suddenly Sunday, March 10, 2002. She was 83 years old and had lived a full and happy life. She loved her family and many friends and neighbors, was active in volunteer work and was an excellent card player, playing bridge with her friends several times a month. She was active all of her life, and loved to spend time hiking the woods around the family cabin in the Jemez Mountains. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and she was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, Carl Scott; her daughter, Carolyn and husband, Art Peterson and children, Jill and Gary and his wife, Cindy; great-grandson, Zachary; her son, Carl Brance and wife, Joyce and children, Heather and husband, Doug Quartetti, Trisha and husband, Patrick Poitras; great-grandsons, Benjamin and Brandon; her son, Paul and wife, Sandie and children, Susan and Michael; daughter, Cindy and husband, Rick Rogers and children, Molly and Stacy. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Contributions may be sent to the Assistance League of Albuquerque, 529 Chama NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Daphine D. Tripp, age 80, and a resident of Albuquerque for 65 years died Monday, March 11, 2002. Mrs. Tripp is survived by her three daughters, Judith Tripp, Jennifer Tripp and her husband, Dan Zillich all of Albuquerque, and Janet Gere and her husband, Gary of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Keith and Karli Ellis, Samantha and Leann Zillich. Mrs. Tripp was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Tripp in 1974. She was a member of West Mesa Christian Church. Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 15, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the West Mesa Christian Church, 8821 Golf Course Rd. NW with Rev. Mark Denton officiating. Ernest A. Uzueta, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for most of his life, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2002. Ernie was born January 26, 1923 in Deming, New Mexico. He had been a train mechanic and service technician for the railroad before retiring. He served in WW II in the US Marines. Ernie was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 3, V.F.W. Post 99, Retired Santa Fe Railroad, and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Ernie will be remembered for his love of music. He entertained us all with his singing and guitar playing of Spanish ballads. Ernie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sally Uzueta of Albuquerque; three children, Randall Uzueta and wife, Judy, Stephen Uzueta, and Anna Chavez; two sisters, Mary Pena and Alicia; four brothers, Joe Uzueta, Willie Uzueta, Henry Enciso, and Manuel Enciso; eight grandchildren, Jeff Uzueta, Josh Uzueta, Adrianna Chavez, Camille Chavez, Samantha Chavez, Brenda Uzueta, Andrea Uzueta, and Stephanie Uzueta; and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Albuquerque Manor, with special appreciation to Jill and Linda, for all their loving care. The Rosary for Ernie will be recited this evening, Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM with the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jay Kinzer, Ray Baca, Robert Archibeque, Nick Zamora, Jeff Uzueta, Josh Uzueta and Joe Moreno. Mary Camilla Welsh was taken by 'Flights of Angels' on Sunday, March 10, 2002. She lovingly leaves behind her children, Janie, Jeanie, and Greg; through marriage, Joe, Barbara, Don and Heather; and her grandchildren, Scott, Timothy, Michael, David, Michelle and Jennifer. Cam was an active member of Fruit Avenue Baptist Church where she served for many years on the Flower and Greeting Committees. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and love to her church family and friends. We will miss you 'momma' and love you forever. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. CHARLES D. MARTINEZ, 31, of Espaņola died Sunday. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juan Delfin Martinez Sr. and Rosalia Martinez; and maternal grandmother, Lillian Campbell. He is survived by his parents, Andres Wilbert Martinez of Tierra Amarilla and DeeAnna Martinez of Espaņola; a sister, Lilliana Martinez de Montoya and husband Steve of Ojo Caliente; three brothers, Robert Martinez, Sr., Michael Patrick de Vargas and Andres W. Martinez, Jr. all of Espaņola; a daughter, Brittany Martinez of Espaņola; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Eulalia Newton of Espaņola; and many other relatives and friends. CRUZ B. PEREZ, 73, of El Rancho, died Sunday following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorenzo Botello of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico; and son, Leroy Perez of El Rancho. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bersabella Perez of El Rancho; son, Michael Perez and wife Annette of El Rancho; daughter, Geraldine and husband Levi Salazar of El Rancho; mother, Concepcion Perez of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Marietta Roybal of El Rancho; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the Victory Faith Church in Espaņola with a devotional service to be held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Victory Faith Church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe Memorial Gardens Cemetery. WILLIAM ROMERO SR., 63, of Monte Aplanado, died Sunday. He was born June 22, 1938, to the late Alfredo G. and Tonita Armijo Romero. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. He graduated from St. Gertrude's High School and then served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on Dec. 9, 1963. He went on to become a hard-working and well-respected sheet metal worker, as well as a proud member of the Local Union No. 49 in Albuquerque. He married Elizabeth Loera on Jan. 8, 1966, and they raised four children. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, William and Dennis; daughters, Antonia and Stephanie; four grandchildren; brother, Rudy and his wife Mary; brother, Alfred and his wife Martha; sister, Cleo; brother, Cornelio and his wife Flora; brother, Rogerio; brother, Max and his wife Lupe; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Gertrude's Church. JOHNNIE A. ROYBAL, 84, of El Duende died Monday at his home. He was born on Dec. 9, 1917, to Silviano and Amada Roybal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ninfa O. Roybal; a daughter, Eliza U. Roybal; and an infant son, Jerome Roybal. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia R. Martinez and husband Tomas of Albuquerque; five sons, Johnny S. Roybal, Joe A. Roybal and Betty, James L. Roybal and wife Gloria, Jerome R. Roybal and Chris S. Roybal all of El Duende; one granddaughter, ReAnn C. Roybal of Hernandez; a brother, Ross Roybal and wife Bernie of Santa Fe; four sisters, Lucy R. Lovato of Albuquerque, Lola R. Maestas of Santa Fe, Stella R. Maestas and husband Joe of Hernandez, and Gloria R. Vigil of Albuquerque; and many other relatives and friends. Rosaries will be recited at 7 p.m. today and at 7 p.m. Thursday at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the San Jose Church in Hernandez. Johnny M. "Shorty" Apodaca, 50, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Kendra Drane, both of Albuquerque; brother, Joe Newstrom and wife, Inez, of Corona, CA; sisters, Connie Apodaca and Marleen Apodaca, both of Albuquerque, Adeline Apodaca, of Gardena, CA, and Anna Mae Apodaca of Albuquerque; Godson, Cael John Paul Apodaca of Albuquerque, and many other aunts, uncles, loving family members, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pauline Apodaca and sister, Mary Lee. The joy in his life was spending time with his family whom he cherished. He also loved to play baseball and basketball and was loyal Dallas Cowboys Fan. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping people recently becoming a substance abuse counselor. Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 13, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary with Pastor Richard Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Kay Baldonado, 52 and a resident of Cedar Crest, NM, died on March 8, 2003 in Albuquerque. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. She is survived by a son Jeff Baldonado and wife, Yvette of Cedar Crest; three sisters, Sharon, Mary and Sue; three brothers, Tom, Steve and Jim; and two grandchildren, Tenger and Linda. Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Erna H. Barnes, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946 died March 11, 2003. Cruzita "Chris" Clark, 57, a resident of Albuquerque died Monday, March 10, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Robert Clark; sons, Darren and Denny Marquez; and brother, Nick Pino all of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Pino; and parents, Samuel Pino and Gabrielita Sisneros Pino. Mrs. Clark was originally from Anton Chico, NM. She was an active member of numerous golf associations, including being a Board Member of Arroyo Del Oso Women's Golf Association. She was a Guild member of the New Mexico Quilter's Association. Lucas Neal Crawford, 23, passed away in a tragic accident after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his father, Richard W. Crawford and wife, Marsha Briggs of Springfield, OH; mother, Maureen Crawford and partner, Flak Rackham of Albuquerque; sister, Sara Kay Crawford and partner, Andy Fackrell of Amsterdam, Netherlands; grandmother, Eileen Crawford; and grandfather, Joseph Kivlen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Victor Neal Crawford; and grandmother, Elizabeth Kivlen. Lucas was an aspiring musician and a kind and gentle human being. David Edward Dominguez, age 47, was born May 11, 1955 and went home to be with the Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ. David passed away at his family home on March 9, 2003. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Eva Dominguez; two daughters, Kristale Daylenea Dominguez and Sarah Tracey Dolores Dominguez; one son, Dominick Joe Mariano David Dominguez; his loving caring father, Joe M. Dominguez; mother, Susie Baca; five brothers; and one sister; many nieces, nephews and friends who loved and will miss him.
