HARVEY D. LARGE, 74, of Red River died Monday. He was born in Denton, Texas, and relocated to Albuquerque.
He was employed for many years at the Sandia Corporation. He moved to Red River in 1969, where he and his wife, Marie, managed the Deer Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his children, Jayne Hopper, Harvey Large, Becky Waltz and husband, and Linda Loushine and husband; longtime caregiver Willie Hopper; sisters, Esther Jane Tucker and Beth Jones; brother, Dan Large; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation and a memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Denver Rescue Mission's Harvest Farm, 4240 E. LUISITA R. MARTINEZ, 103, of Guachupangue died Monday. She had a green thumb and loved to plant, as well as read the newspaper and her devotional. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Sagrada Familia and the Sacred Heart Society. She was the last member of the original families who homesteaded Los Alamos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Martinez; sons, Guadalupe Martinez Jr. and Erminio Martinez; daughter, Teresa M. Gallegos; parents, Victor Romero and Refugio S. Romero; brothers, David and Ernesto Romero; and sisters, Frosina R. Sanchez and Ernestina R. Gonzalez. She is survived by her son, Manuel M. Martinez and wife Mercedez; daughters, Rosanna M. Bennett, Rosario M. Fiorillo, Louisa M. Benton and husband Kip, and Gloria Maestas; daughter-in-law, Alejandrina Martinez; 42 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday with rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley, (505) 747-7477.

MILES QUENTIN MARTINEZ, 15, of Mora died Sunday. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Jan. 27, 1988, to Anastacio R. Martinez and Judith Ann Valdez Martinez. He was a 10th grade student at Mora High School. He liked hunting, motorcycle riding and hanging out with his friends, and his dream was to become a lawyer. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roman Martinez; and maternal grandfather, Maximinio Valdez. He is survived by his parents; brother, Austin Martinez and girlfriend Melody Quintana of Albuquerque; half-brother, Florentino Martinez and wife Amanda of Las Vegas, N.M.; two nephews; maternal grandmother, Nellie Valdez of Mora; paternal grandmother, Erlinda Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M.; uncles and aunts, Michael Valdez and wife Linda of Santa Fe, Ernie Valdez and wife Virginia, Theresa Cassidy and husband Matthew, all of Rio Rancho, Glen Valdez and wife Mary of Las Vegas, N.M., Steven Valdez and wife Viola and Gary Valdez, all of Mora, Joe Martinez and wife JoAnn of Las Vegas, N.M., Frances Pacheco and husband Manuel of Tecolote, Bernie Martinez and wife Donna of Santa Rosa, Reina Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M., Sandra Martinez, Cleo Martinez, and Juanita Martinez, all of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marvin Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. CHRISTOBAL ORLANDO MONTOYA, 48, of Santa Fe died Monday. He was always willing to lend a hand and enjoyed talking to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou and Chris Montoya; grandfather, Tomas Valdez; grandmother, Isabel Valdez; father-in-law, Joe Ortiz; aunt, Kathy Martinez; and brother-in-law, George Maestas; and nephew, James Ortiz. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Montoya; sons, Tommy Montoya and fiancée Lorraine; grandchild to be, and Joshua Montoya; mother-in-law, Carmen Ortiz; sisters, Carmen and husband JR Lucero, Patty and husband Mike Gallegos, Yolanda Montoya, Dina and husband Manuel Velarde, Monica Lopez and husband Tim, and Lupe Montoya and husband Tracy; brothers, Anthony Montoya, Andy Montoya and wife Debbie, Richard Montoya and Benny Montoya; aunt, Agnes Trujillo; uncles, Timoteo Valdez and Bobby Valdez; sisters-in-law, Tomasita Benavidez, Lorraine Ortiz and husband Carlos, Liz Benavidez and husband Timoteo, and Sally Ortiz; brothers-in-law, Frank and wife Angie Ortiz, Reyes and wife Marcie Ortiz, Raymond Ortiz, Chris and wife Elena Ortiz, and Eddie and wife Joann Ortiz; and many other relatives. ADELINA M. ARCHULETA, 90, of Española died Tuesday.
She grew up in San Pedro and married her husband, Roberto, in 1936. They lived in Pajarito, near Black Mesa, where they raised two daughters and later moved to Riverside Drive in Española. She was a full-time mother and homemaker while working part-time for Jemez Mountain Co-op in Española. After her children were grown, she worked full time at Fairview Department Store as a sales clerk. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and spending time with family. Her hobbies included gardening, canning and packing their yearly harvest, and raising rose bushes and other types of plants and flowers. She enjoyed volunteer work at the Española Hospital with the Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Narciso and Carmelita Roybal Martinez and husband, Roberto Archuleta.
She is survived by her brothers, Eloy and wife Livia and Eddie Martinez and wife Rose; sister, Rosella Race and husband Bob; daughters, Carol Duran and husband Charles and Mary Ann Rivera and husband John; three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Flowers are appreciated, or a memorial contribution may be made to Los Rios Visiting Nurses. Envelopes will be provided by the family and can be picked up at the funeral home.
Public visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday with a rosary to be recited at 4 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at the Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.

ROBERT PAUL DODDRIDGE, 84, of Santa Fe died Thursday.
He attended Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., where he specialized in chemistry and was an avid collector of stamps and rocks. He retired from Los Alamos Laboratory after 26 years of service. He and his wife were residents of Santa Fe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Mary Doddridge; and son, Phillip Doddridge.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Doddridge; son, David A. Doddridge and wife Sandra of Jacksonville, N.C.; stepson, Robert T. Seymour and wife Jeannine of Santa Fe; stepdaughters, Sue Bartholomew of Santa Fe, and Laurel Lyon of Bayfield, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. There are no services scheduled.

ROSA R. LUCERO, 76, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Sunday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel R. Lucero; sons, Juan and Alejandro Lucero; and parents, Juan and Lucinda Chavez Esquibel.
She is survived by sons, Valentin, Candido and Elvires Lucero, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughters, Lucy Maes and husband Robert of Rio Rancho, and Irene and Perla Lucero, both of Albuquerque; sister, Maria Valdez of Tecolote; daughter-in-law, Theresa Lucero of Las Vegas, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with burial to follow at Ojitos Frios Cemetery.

RAYMOND J. ROBERTS, 89, of White Rock died Thursday.
He was a resident of White Rock for the past 11 years and previously resided in Taylorville, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Roberts; daughters, Sandra Michalik and husband Larry of East Dubuque, Ill., and Patricia Roberts Dallman and husband John of Los Alamos; three grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

ORLANDO P. ESPINOZA, 56, of Los Cordovas died Sunday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Amelia Espinoza.
He is survived by his daughter, Amelia T. Espinoza; three grandchildren; brothers, David Espinoza and wife Christina and Damian Espinoza and wife Beatrice, all of Los Cordovas; sister, Veronica Trujillo and husband Ben of Cordillera; and many other relatives.
