CAROLINA 'CORA' MONTANO, 85, of Arroyo Seco died Friday at the Holy Cross Hospital. She was a mayordoma at one time at the Holy Trinity Church, where she was also a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Inocencio 'Ino' Montano; son, Gilbert; brothers, Joe and Eutemio Archuleta; sister, Raquel; and parents, Eutemio and Sarita Archuleta. She is survived by her children, Adonais Montano and wife, Susie, Tillie Montano, and Johnny Montano and wife, Elaine; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Salazar, Betty Martinez and husband, Levino, and Lourdes Payne and husband, Earl. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Sisneros LaFollette Chapel. A second visitation will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco with burial to follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery. ANNA MAE JAMESON MONTGOMERY, 91, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday at the home of her daughter. She was born Jan. 1, 1911, near Amarillo, Texas. She had her own weekly radio program over KGNC in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College. She and Charles Montgomery moved to Las Vegas, N.M., in 1950 with the Phillips Petroleum Company. She was a valuable member of Las Vegas Arts Council, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Woman's Club, Town and Country Garden Club, Las Vegas Dance Club, Opera Guild, Cow Belles, Golf Club and NMHU Community Choir. She was a pianist at the First Baptist Church and Kiwanis Club for 50 years. Rotary Club honored her for 50 years as a pianist. She was assistant grand organist for OES and frequently was organist for the Ransford chapter of the OES. She received the Grand Cross of Colors from the Rainbow Girls. She was elected to Daughters of the Nile, OES. She played at several OES state conventions and was delegate to national conventions, and played twice for state rotary conventions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Montgomery, in 1976; father and mother, Tom and Virgie Mae Wright Jameson; brothers, Walter, Wayne, Tom, and Joe; and sister, Kathleen. She is survived by daughter, Jeanette (Jan) and Mel Root of Las Vegas, N.M.; son, Dan and Katie Montgomery of Foster City, Calif.; son, Ted Montgomery of Las Vegas, N.M.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Carroll Jameson of San Antonio, Texas, and Ray Jameson of Plainview, Texas; and 14 nieces and nephews. A funeral celebration will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rogers Mortuary. Burial services will be at the Las Vegas Masonic Cemetery. ELISEO RODARTE, 87, of Vadito, died Thursday at the Holy Cross Hospital. He was born June 13, 1919. He was a miner and a logger for many years in Silver City. He was preceded in death by six children. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Rodarte; children, Ernest and Lupe Rodarte, Jim and Lorraine Adam, Roger Rodarte, Vernon and Vicki Sellars, Moises and LuAnn Rodarte, and Elias Rodarte; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. Nestor Agustin Chacon, beloved father and grandfather, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Pam O'Hara and Vicki Kay of Washington; son, Andres Chacon and wife, Margaret; daughter, Debra Brummell and husband, David; son, Bryan Chacon; sisters, Fina Shipley, Marie Parsen and Martha Trambley; grandchildren, Julie, Sydney and Vincent Chacon, Dylan and Dustin Brummell and Eli, Jason and Rebecca Kay. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of Religious Science, 3320 San Pedro Dr., NE.

Philip G. Doyle, 72, a 10 year resident of Rio Rancho, died April 24, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Doyle of Rio Rancho, NM; son, John T. Doyle and wife, Barbara of Hudson, NH; grandsons, Patrick J. and Ryan C. Doyle; sister, Mary Jane E. McArthur and husband, Earl of Cohasset, MA; and several other family members. Philip grew up in Woodland, ME before moving to Chelmsford, MA where they lived for 30 years. He was a member and trustee of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, a member of American Legion Post #23 of Woodland, ME. He enjoyed hiking and was an active volunteer of the YMCA Westside AOA's, and also a volunteer at the Rio Grande Zoo. Friends may visit French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd., NW, Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2701 The American Rd., Rio Rancho, with Rev. Molly Elizabeth Espinoza, 17, a resident of Albuquerque since 1987, died suddenly, Thursday, April 24, 2003. She is survived by her father, Brent F. Espinoza of Los Alamos; her mother, Barbara Snow Ghahate and husband, Jon; sister, Jennifer Espinoza; brother, Ian Ghahate; sister, Jonnie Lee Ghahate, all of Albuquerque; paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Fidella Espinoza of Albuquerque; maternal grandfather, Dr. Lawrence Snow and wife, Susan of Cheraw, SC; maternal grandmother, Patricia and husband, Dr. Joseph Workman of Durham, NC; great-grandmother, Helen Wilsey of Pinehurst, NC; aunts and uncles, Cathy and Fred, Bennette and Jon, Carla, and Larry; cousins, Cara, Mike and Brittany; special friends, Jill Schaefer and Joyce Elliott; her special dog, Dixie; and many special friends and teachers from Manzano High School, from Los Alamos and from Colorado Springs, CO. Molly gave her whole heart to everything she did. She was a very loving person to her friends and family, and everyone she met. Molly was a brilliant and beautiful student, involved in National Honor Society, the S.R.C. Committee, MESA, Key Club and playing Varsity Tennis. She had a special spot in her heart for children and animals. Molly planned to attend Duke University in the fall. Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 28, 2003, at 5:30 p.m., to be followed by eulogies, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Carole Virginia Garcia, 63, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, April 27, 2003. She is survived by her husband, George Garcia; son, Charles P. Garcia and wife, Shanna; daughter, Beverly J. Pribble and husband, Garry; grandchildren, Garrett, Richard, and Ashleigh; twin sister, Sharon Pearce and husband, Joe; sisters, Cynthia Truby and husband, Bud, Judi Beare and husband, Richard; brother, Larry Hutchinson and wife, Janet; mother in law, Ramona Garcia; sister in law, Mary Alice Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, M. M. and Doris Hutchinson and father in law, Polito Garcia. Carole was born in Washington, D. C. on April 13, 1940 and moved with her family to New Mexico when she was two. She graduated from Highland High School in 1958 and was married August 16 of that year. She also graduated from the Albuquerque Business College in 1965 and has been employed by Star Construction Inc. since 1992. Carole was a member of Calvary Chapel and the New Mexico section of the Crohns and Colitis Support Group. Services will be announced at a later date. Interment will follow services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE. Esibia C. Griego, 82, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visitations will be held on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with an evening service to follow in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. also in the mortuary chapel. Mr. Joe R. Gutierrez passed away on Saturday. He was a retired Line Driver from Yellow Freight. He is proceeded in death by his father, Johnny Gutierrez, father and mother in law, Santiago and Juanita Maestas, grandparents, Pedro and Plajeras Gutierrez and Cleofus and Angelita Garcia. Many thanks to the Hospice nurse, Meryl Richards and all the Hospice staff at Anna Kaseman. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Gutierrez of the family home; mother, Francis Gutierrez; son, Ray Gutierrez and beautiful wife, Adriana, surrogate daughters, Martha Veleta, Rachel Floryance and fiance, Jerry Nickels, ex daughter in law, Michelle Gutierrez, brothers, Raymond Gutierrez, Johnny Ray Gutierrez and wife, Bea, Cleo Gutierrez, sister in law, Lucille Gutierrez, sister, Angie Silva and husband, Daniel, grandchildren, Ray Ray Gutierrez, Robert Gutierrez, Jorge Estla, Dimitri Floryance, Maia Gutierrez, and, Elisa Veleta, nieces and nephews, Eddie, Flora, Kathy, Pam, Randy, Danny, Jennifer, Dominic, Cindy, Richard, Lori, Cristina, David, and, Melody, several nephews and nieces and countless friends. Rosie Horn, 61, a resident of San Antonio and formerly of Albuquerque, died Thursday, April 24, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leonard Horn of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Bernadette Hemmbter of Albuquerque; son, Alan Horn and wife Janet of Georgia; mother, Isabel Garcia of Albuquerque; and sisters, Priscilla Gutierrez and husband Joe of Albuquerque, Dorella Hooper and husband Wayne of Belen, and Diana Garcia of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her father, Servando Garcia and brother, Mike Garcia. Rosary will be recited Monday, April 28, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lomas at Tennessee. Barbara Ann, passed away April 24, 2003 at the age of 75. She was the third child born to Lucien and Novella Hoch on May 8, 1927 in Las Vegas, NM. She graduated from East Las Vegas High in 1944 and attended Colorado Woman's College in Denver for two years. Barbara, then, attended the California Medical School of Technology and graduated as a Medical Technician. After moving back to Albuquerque, Barbara met her future husband, Roland W. Krug, in September of 1947 at the Paradise Valley Club. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas, NM on June 10, 1949. Barbara was married to Roland for 53 years, raising four children. She is survived by her husband, Roland, and sister, Marion N. Smith, and was preceded in death by her brother, David H. Hoch. She is also survived by her children, Kristine K. Kline and husband, Edward, Marc S. Krug, and wife, Yue Zhang, Gary D. Krug, and Laura D. Krug and fiance, Gary Mathews. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Kinnan L. Kline, Jared N. Kline and wife, Karen, Geoffery J. Krug, and Holly X. Krug; and one great-grandchild, Castor J. Kline. Barbara immensely enjoyed cheering on the UNM Lobo basketball team and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also stayed abreast of current news, especially headline trials, and enjoyed debating national, state, and local politics. To share a favorite lyric from Nat King Cole's "Nature Boy ", "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." Services will be held at French Mortuary - University Blvd. Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 2:00 pm with graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Should friends desire, a tribute of flowers or a contribution to their favorite charity may be made in her memory. May you rest upon soft eternal breezes, as a silken butterfly in effortless flight.

John D. Maes of Albuquerque passed away April 22, 2003 at his home in Goodyear, AZ with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife, Susan E. Maes; mother, Stella Gutierrez of Albuquerque; daughter, Michelle L. LeCesne of Lancaster, TX; and his sons, John D. Maes and Kevin J. Maes both of Albuquerque. John is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Batts of Bellevue, NE; and two brothers, Basil Gutierrez of Albuquerque and Louis Gutierrez of Bellevue, NE. A Private Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on May 1, 2003. Myra Merrill, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1936, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill Merrill of Albuquerque; nieces, Freda Wood of Greensburg, KS and Fern Ridge of Augusta, KS; and many great-nieces and nephews. Myra was a former participant of Albuquerque Christian Church. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Larry Pierson officiating. Dr. Harry Donald Nordberg, 73, a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2003. He was born on February 4, 1930 the son of Harry and Elsie Nordberg in Salt Lake City, Utah. Harry attended Loyola Dental School in Chicago, Illinois, then established his dental practice of 31 years in NE Albuquerque. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Edwina, his three daughters, Cathy Eliason and husband, Tracy of Payson, Utah; Linda Allen and husband, Craig of Laie, Hawaii; and Kathleen Cantwell and husband, Kevin of Albuquerque; two sisters, Lorraine MacKay and Marilyn Sharp and husband, Gerry of Utah; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who remains in our hearts forever. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio.
