JOE GONZALES, 66, of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long illness.
He was born in Pecos to Jose and Delfinia Gonzales. He served in the military and was self-employed as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by Kelly Romero and Tino Sena.
He is survived by his wife, Libby R. Gonzales; sons, Manuel and wife Angela Gonzales and Kelvin Romero; daughters, Darlene Fowler, Kathy Romero and friend Theresa Vigil, Theresa Quintana and husband Joe Cano; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Pete and wife Alicia Gonzales, Fernando and wife Joann Sena, Tibby and husband Marcelino Apodaca and many other relatives.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

TOMAS A. GURULE, 99, of Glorieta died Sunday after a brief illness.
He was born in Buoyeros, New Mexico Territory, and married Teresita Codero at the St. Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe in 1930. He was employed by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad for over 40 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a landscaper at the Baptist Conference Center in Glorieta. He was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in Pecos, La Union Protectiva, was active in the Glorieta community and helped with the construction of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Glorieta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Victor and Eufemia Archuleta Gurule; daughters, Magdalena Gurule, Sofie Gurule and Connie Rodriguez; sons-in-law, Ramon Coriz, Larry Maruca, and Andy Flores; and sister, Luisa Sisneros.
He is survived by his wife, Teresita Gurule; sons, Tommy Gurule and wife Lilian, Joe Gurule and wife Beverly, Jim Gurule, Lawrence Gurule, David Gurule and wife Debbie, Greg Gurule and wife Adrianna, and Rudy Gurule and friend Sonia Carrillo; daughters, Pauline Coriz, Frances Otero and husband Dennis, Victoria Flores and Dee Dee Maruca; sister, Delfinia Herrera; son-in-law, Frank Rodriguez; 31 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m Friday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Pecos. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at Pecos Cemetery.

MARIA ANGELA HERNANDEZ , 91, of Santa Fe died Friday.
She resided for 21 years in Los Alamos. She loved cooking and was known for her wisdom and sense of humor.
She is survived by her daughter, Beatriz Scannapieco; four grandchildren; three sisters; and many other relatives.
Services will be held at 11 a.m today at the Episcopal Church of Holy Faith, 311 E. Palace Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial certificates in her name be donated from local greenhouses which will be used to purchase plants to create a memorial garden.

LINDSAY ANNE HOWARD, 24, of Arroyo Hondo died Saturday as the result of an automobile accident.
She graduated in 2002 from Northern New Mexico Community College She was a hair stylist at Spirits of Beauty Spa and Salon in Taos and a singer with the Damn Band in Red River.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Head.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Howard of Arroyo Hondo; mother, Pooh Head of Los Alamos; father, Tim Conner and wife Sandra Gingell of Montrose, Colo.; sister, Allison Leigh Conner of Valdez; brother, Nicholas O'Neal Conner of Montrose, Colo.; grandparents John and Mary Conner of Montrose, Colo.; and many other relatives and friends. KARIN NITSCH LEARY of Santa Fe died Saturday due to complications from injuries she suffered when feeding her horses.
She was a highly regarded artist and horsewoman. Best known for her life-like sculptures in barbed-wire and steel, she was also a lover of all of God's little creatures. She saved rattlesnakes and varmints from death by catching them. She was born in Czechoslovakia. She was a child refugee when her family fled the Russians, escaping to Germany. As a teenager, she moved to Philadelphia where she earned a scholarship to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. As a young woman, Karin moved to Mexico where she lived 12 years. She studied at the Belles Artes and the Institute of San Miguel De Allende. Her love of horses and her ability to sculpt horses with correct conformation and movement resulted in her being commissioned by several National Horse Associations. Her works can be seen at the Eldorado Animal Clinic, Blaire Carnahan Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, and at the Canyon Collection in Palm Desert.
She is survived by her husband, James Leary; brother, Alex Nitsch; and mother, Ilsa Nitsch.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. The family has requested that instead of flowers, contributions be made to the Cerrillos Horse Shelter. A reception will be held at the Leary home, on Spur Ranch Road, following the Memorial Service.

JOSE MUNIZ, 90, of Rodarte died Thursday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edonilia Muniz and sister, Delia Sanchez.
He is survived by his children, Priscilla Munoz of Albuquerque, Shirley Vigil of Grants, Victor Muniz of Albuquerque, Joe Muniz of Rodarte, Modesto Muniz and wife Mary of Ranchos de Taos, Betty Martinez of Rodarte, and Freddy Gonzales of Albuquerque; 21 grandchildren, and many other relatives.

GLORIA APODACA STUART, 43, of the Española Valley died Saturday from injuries she received in an automobile accident.
She was a resident of Austin.
