Bernard Sollins, 94, a resident of Albuquerque for 16 years, died Friday, April 20, 2001. He was the loving father of Ellen Berger of Baltimore, MD; and Jeffrey Sollins, MD, of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Annette Sollins on December 1, 1991. Mr. Sollins never missed a day of work in 45 years and was always on time. He never took or expected anything that didn't belong to him and had one hell of a sense of humor. Mr. Sollins will be deeply missed. Services and burial will take place in Baltimore, MD, Sol Levinson & Bros. Funeral Home, 8900 Reisters Town Rd., Baltimore, MD., 21208. John R. Sundberg, 77, died peacefully Tuesday, April 24, 2001, after a 10-year fight with primary lateral sclerosis. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Sundberg of Albuquerque and Susan Sundberg-Walker and husband, John of Tijeras; son, John A. Sundberg and wife, Jennifer and their children, all of Albuquerque; brother, Richard Sundberg and wife, Donna of Ft. Pierce, FL; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Mary Sundberg of Albuquerque. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Harmony House. John graduated from the University Minnesota at Duluth in 1949. He taught Physics at Los Alamos High School, and was an instructor of weapon designs at Sandia National Laboratories 1952-1988. John directed and produced more than 200 training films. He served during WWII as an enlisted and commissioned Naval Aviator. John was a member of the New Mexico Sailing Club and the Rio Grande Sailing Club. Cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to Friends In Time, 4906 Jefferson NE, 87109. Johnny "Larry" Torres, age 46, passed away unexpectedly in Albuquerque Thursday morning, April 26, 2001. He was born August 6, 1954, in Albuquerque. He is survived by his parents; Ciprian and Frances Torres; two sisters, Beatrice Flores, Bella and her husband, Dennis Madrid; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins, all of Albuquerque. Larry was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at Queen of Heaven Church Monday, April 30, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will also be held at Queen of Heaven Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are D.J. Madrid, Leon Flores, Richard Vigil, David Baca, Andrew Gutierrez, and D.J. Garcia. Burial site will be announced. Visitation will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue SE, Monday, April 30, from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Muriel H. Wold, 90, passed away April 10, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Adelaide Tucker and husband, William of Albuquerque; son, Joe Carroll and wife, Jeanette of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Horace Hickox and wife, Mildred of Amarillo, TX; sister, Winnogene and husband, George of San Antonio, TX. Burial was April 12, 2001 in South Park Cemetery, Roswell, NM.

Michael Yellott, 21, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, 25, 2001. He is survived by his parents, David and Carol Yellott of Albuquerque; sisters, Meagan Yellott and Mary Yellott, both of Albuquerque; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Adams of Rocky Ford, CO; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David E. Yellott of Aurora, CO; aunts, Kay Romero of Pueblo, CO, and Janet Haythorne of Greely CO; uncles, Mike Osborn of Tuscon, AZ, Mark Osborn of Lamar, CO, and Stan Yellott of Aurora, CO; and aunt, Kathy Forsyth and husband, Frank of Northglen, CO. Michael was a 1998 graduate of Albuquerque Academy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Fred Eugene Zschach, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 81, a resident of Prewitt, NM, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Mr. Zschach was born in Great Divide, CO on July 16, 1919. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 as a Medical NCO. Battles and campaigns he served in were Air Offensive Japan, Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea-Southern Philippines, Luzon and Western Pacific. Decorations and Citations awarded were the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star. In 1945, he was discharged as a Corporal with the 17th Reconnaissance Squadron. Mr. Zschach was employed by the Navajo Tribe for 23 years as a Supervisor- Drilling Water Wells. He was also employed by Farris Mines and Sherry and Henry Andrews. Mr. Zschach was a member of the Prewitt Volunteer Fire Department and the Prewitt V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Fred E. Zschach Jr. of Bloomfield and Robert Anderson of Gallup; daughters, Betty Lloyd of Albuquerque, Edith Mazon of Gallup and Linda Baca of Denver, CO; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Helmer Zschach of Craig, CO. Mr. Zschach was preceded in death by his first wife, Amada DelaO Morris. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE (323-9000).

EUGENE `GENE' ALVAREZ, 64, of Santa Fe died Wednesday at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy. He worked as an insurance agent in Santa Fe for several years and most recently as a car salesman in Santa Fe and Espaņola. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Alvarez; and his wife, Vida Alvarez. He is survived by his daughter, Annette Alvarez of India; his daughter's mother, Luz Brown of Santa Fe; brothers Tommy Alvarez and wife, Eileen, of Rio Rancho, and Tony Alvarez of Santa Fe, and numerous other relatives. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Berardinelli Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Cathedral. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. ANNIE MARGARET BERRY, 88, of Santa Fe died Thursday. She came to Santa Fe in 1937 where she worked as a Harvey Girl at La Fonda. She married Elwood Berry in 1938 in Santa Fe. They owned and operated Berry's Super Market from 1957 to 1997. She was a founding member of the Dig-N-Hope Garden Club and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters Peggy L. Franklin of Santa Fe, and Bonita B. Smith and husband, Marvin, of Midland, Mich.; sisters Jean Ford of Venice, Fla., and Frances Thomas of Leighton, Tenn.; grandchildren Timothy A. Franklin of Santa Fe, Kim J. Cerullo of Cheshire, Conn., Catherine E. Smith of Seattle, Anthony J. Smith of Atlanta, and Andrew M. Smith of Boulder, Colo.; great-grandchildren Matthew Joseph Cerullo and Michelle M. Smith; and numerous other relatives and friends. Her family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Berardinelli Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday also at the Berardinelli Chapel. Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Guillermo (Willie) E. Archuleta, 74, born November 2, 1927 in Llaves, New Mexico and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Friday, April 26, 2002. Mr. Archuleta is survived by his sisters, Mena Medina, Cecelia Padilla of Albuquerque Rayos Padilla of San Francisco, Ca.: brothers, Ben Archuleta, Eugenio of Albuquerque, Jose Archuleta of Los Lunas and Dan Archuleta of La Jara, Colorado and many nieces, nepehews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by a special friend, Chrissy Cabagua and his parents, Necomedes and Santanita Archuleta a brother, Mike Archuleta. Mr. Archuleta was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Pat Santistevan. A final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Vance. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Robert DeLeon, Marshall Archuleta, Edward Padilla, Alejandro Archuleta, Dan Archuleta and Wilfred Cabagua. Guadalupe "Lupe" Chavez, 81, passed away April 26, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was born June 29, 1921. Lupe is survived by his wife, Jennie Chavez; daughters, Charlotte Chavez, and Theresa Chavez; brothers-in-law, Napoleon Bourquet and wife, Amalia, Jeff Bourquet and wife, Julia; sister-in-law, Peggy Valdez. Lupe served in the US Army during World War II, where he was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He retired from Sandia Base in Albuquerque. Services will be at San Ignacio Catholic Church, Edith near Indian School in Martinez Town. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday April 29, 2002. Tommie J. Judie, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2002. She is survived her husband, Roscoe Judie of Albuquerque; daughter, Jean White of Abilene, TX; grandson, Ronnie Houston; brothers, C.L. White of Albuquerque, Alex Andrew and Billy Andrew, both of Midland, TX; sisters, Ophelia White and Margaret McFarland, both of Abilene, TX and Doris Johnson of Roby, TX; and special cousin Mary Williams of Albuquerque. Anna M. Marquez, 47, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on April 27, 2002, after battling a long illness, Anna has now gone home to be with our Lord. Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Archuleta and husband, Lorenzo Jr.; her father, Joseph G. Weber; sisters, Dolores Avalos and husband, Louis, Kathy Cano and husband, Victor; one grandson, Lorenzo Archuleta III; nephews, Gerald Gutierrez, Orlando Gutierrez and Brian Apodaca; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeannette McKiernan, 79, died April 20, 2002 after a brief illness. She married John McKiernan in 1945, and was mother of Kathy Hamilton, Linda McKiernan-Allen and John McKiernan. A Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held on May 1, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd., Albuquerque, NM, 87106. Mary Romero Muniz, 80, was called to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 27, 2002. She was born on Monday, May 9, 1921 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was a thirty year resident of Albuquerque. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Gomesindo and Romancita Romero, her brothers and sisters and two infant children, Joe Frank and Joann. Mary is survived by her children: Connie Marquez and husband, Ray of Albuquerque, Jacob Muniz of Guerneville, Sonoma County, CA, Robert Muniz and wife, Nancy of Las Vegas, NV, Ernest Muniz of Albuquerque, Mary Louise Vigil and husband, James of Albuquerque, Edward Muniz of Norcross, GA, and James Muniz of Albuquerque, NM. Mary is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 30, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, ith Charles Martinez reciting. Pete N. Saavedra, born in Hilton, NM, September 8, 1913, passed away April 25, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by sons, Pete Saavedra Jr of Memphis, TN and Paul Saavedra and wife, Elaine of Santa Fe, NM; sisters, Sarah Vigil and Angelia Lopez; grandchildren, David Saavedra of Sacramento, CA, Suzanne Saavedra of Las Vegas, NV. His wife, Barbara preceded him in death in 1983. Mr. Saavedra was a retired long-time employee of the Sandia Corporation, and a 50 year member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. The Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Monday in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE. Mary Helen Sosebee, age 77, and know affectionately to all as "Little Auntie," passed into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2002. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arthur C. Trujillo, loving husband and father, passed away on April 24, 2002. He is survived by Trina Trujillo, his wife of 51 years; his daughters, Kathryn D. Trujillo, Deborah E. Flores and her husband, John L. Flores; his son, Anthony A. Trujillo; brothers, Lambert C. "Bindy" Trujillo and wife, Josie of Las Cruces, NM, Phillip C. "Pito" Trujillo and wife, Frances of Valinda, CA; his sister, Estella Jean Chavez and her husband, George of Whittier, CA; his granddaughter, Bree Rauck; and great-grandchildren, Dominick and Rhyan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamberto P and Margarita C Trujillo and brother, Alfredo C. Trujillo. He was born November 23, 1925 in Las Cruces. He served his country overseas in the US Army in the Company B 97th Single Battalion and the 188th Fighter Squadron Air National Guard. He earned medals for European Middle Eastern Occupation Europe, Good Conduct and Victory. He graduated from the Los Angeles City College with a BA in Business. After living in California a number of years, he and Trina returned to Albuquerque where he lived with and near his family for the remainder of his life. He was involved in many community affairs such as the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the Association of Savings and Loans (ASLA). His kindness and gentleness will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. and a Mass on Monday, April 29, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Flores, Jim Valles, Michael Flores, George Kramme, John Hernandez and Kenny Triager. RONALD DEAN WILKERSON, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, April 28, 2002. He was born in Roswell, NM on November 13, 1928. Ron graduated from Roswell High where he met his future wife, Goldie Lee Burchett. He attended Abilene Christian University majoring in Greek and Theology. He also attended the University in Tucson Arizona and Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. Ron was a full time minister for the Church Of Christ for twenty five years. After retiring from the ministry, Ron worked in construction, estimating and managing his own company Award Builders. He continued preaching on a part-time basis wherever there was a need. In his latter years he worked at CSI as a printer computer operator. For twenty five years, Ron was a member of Western band, the "Rockin W Wranglers ". He played the bass, the harmonica, and sang. Music was always an integral part of his life from his early childhood. Ron was also a member of the Optimist Club for many years. Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Goldie Lee, who was his high school sweetheart; son, Don Wilkerson and wife, Laurel of Bosque Farms and Mark Wilkerson and wife, Vicki of Rio Rancho; daughter, Sherry Allen and husband, Rob of Albuquerque; grandsons, Shane Wilkerson, Clint Wilkerson and wife, Klyrisa of Eglin AFB, Florida, Jason and Jeremi NIchols, Daniel and Hugh Wilkerson; granddaughters, Dixie Lee Thomas and husband, Grant, Stacy Wilkerson, Jessica and Jennifer Nichols and two great-granddaughters, Delaney Thomas and Haley Wilkerson; brothers, Jack Wilkerson and wife, Sioux of Roswell, Bob Wilkerson of Honduras, Burl Wilkerson and wife, Jo of Houston, TX. and twin brother, Don of California; sister-in-law, Clara Wilkerson of Roswell and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Ernest Wilkerson and Maartha Elkins Wilkerson; brother, Ernest Wilkerson; and sisters, Helen Coble, Ernell Herring and Martha Belle Lemmons. Funeral services will be held at The Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, on Wednesday, May 1st, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Minister John Phillis of Northeast Church Of Christ officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park immediately following. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aprill 30, 2002 at Sandia Funeral Care from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be: Shane and Clint Wilkerson, Jason and Jeremy Nichols, Daniel and Hugh Wilkerson and Howard Burchett. Sadie Acree, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947 was called home to her Lord on April 26, 2003. Sadie was born on August 25, 1909 on a farm near Flemingsberg, KY. She was a generous and good-hearted person whose sons and grandchildren meant the world to her. Sadie is survived by her three sons, Elwood "Woody: and wife, Martha, Edward and wife, Nancy, and James and wife, Gloria. Sadie is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Elwood "Red" Acree. Sadie retired from the Veterans Hospital in 1972 as a dietician. Although she was unable the last several years, Sadie loved to travel and fish with her husband and sons. Sadie also loved her church and has been a member of Harwood United Methodist Church since moving to Albuquerque in 1947. Services will be held on April 30, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., at Harwood United Methodist Church, 420 San Lorenzo NW, with Reverend Andy Husted officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Anthony, Nathan, Daniel, John, Edward Jr., and Edward III. Honorary Pallbearers are Tony Aragon and Charlie Hern. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Sadies name to the Harwood Methodist Church. A reception will follow the graveside services at Harwood Methodist Church.
