ELIZA ULIBARRI, 90, of Cebolla died Saturday.
She was a hospitable and happy person. She was also deeply religious.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salomon Ulibarri; sisters, Matilde Valdez and Rosa Martinez; brothers, Rogelio Martinez and Jose de la Luz Martinez; grandsons, Michael Ulibarri, Joseph Aragon and Patrick and Warren Kowalchuk; great grandson, Jason Kowalchuk; and son-in-law, Felix Archuleta.
She is survived by daughters, Beatrice Ulibarri of Albuquerque, Nellie Follo and husband Ralph of Ponderosa, Loyola Kowalchuk and husband Tony and Annie Aragon and husband Joe, all of Albuquerque, Tina Ulibarri and husband Mike of Chama, Elsie Ulibarri of Las Vegas, Nev., Arlene Archuleta of Cebolla and Yvonne Sanchez and husband Leo of Albuquerque; sons, Salomon Ullibarri and companion Sylvia of Cebolla, Robert Ulibarri of Albuquerque and Harold Ulibarri and wife Mary Ann of Las Nutrias; sister, Manuelita Ulibarri of Albuquerque; granddaughter that she raised, Raquel Baca and husband Erwin of Rio Rancho; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Santa Niño Catholic Church in Cebolla.

ALBERTO A. CISNEROS, 17, of El Rancho died Sunday unexpectedly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gavino and Mayra Cisneros; uncles, Francisco Cisneros and Javier Villalobos; and aunt, Maria Teresa Villalobos.
He is survived by his parents, Gabino and Mayra Cisneros; brothers, Julio and Eloy Cisneros, all of Cuyamungue; sisters, Leleanna and Yesenia Cisneros and Claudia Zapata and husband Eduardo; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with burial at 12:30 p.m. at the Rosario Cemetery, Santa Fe.

MARIA TERESA DURAN, 58, of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer.
She worked hard to raise three sons and enjoyed spending time with her grandson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe B. Duran; mother, Lusita G. Duran; and brothers, Leo Duran, Ernest Duran, and Willie Duran.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Bradley and wife Theresa, Joe Bradley and friend Jennifer, and Ed Bradley; brothers, Jerry Duran and wife Mary, Manuel Duran, Joe Duran, Arthur Duran and wife Rosina, Edward Duran and wife Maria; sisters, Josie Gallegos and husband Raymond, Socorro Salazar and husband Celso, and Jenny Duran; and many other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Tuesday with a 7 p.m. rosary at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Jan. 7, 2004, at the same church with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

CATHERINE E. KIMBREL, 91, of Springer died Sunday at Colfax General.
She was born in Pennsylvania and was a former resident of Las Vegas, N.M. She retired from the Montgomery Wards in Las Vegas, N.M., after 25 years of service. She loved to crochet, knit, sew and spend time with her dogs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Las Vegas, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kimbrel; and sister, Naomi Jones.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Kimbrel of Las Vegas, N.M.; two grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be conducted at a later date.

ARTURO S. MARTINEZ, 70, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Friday after an illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleofas and Senaida Martinez Sr.; brothers, Cleofas Martinez Jr., Delio Martinez, and Horacio Martinez; sisters, Fortunata Chavez and Gloria Hopwood.
He is survived by his wife, Onofre of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Daryl Martinez of Fort Gibson, Okla. and Barry Martinez and wife Elaine of Muskogge, Okla.; daughters, Elena Gutierrez and husband Roman, Christie Brown and husband Gerald, and Lea Martinez, all of Muskogee, Okla.; sisters, Nora Salazar and husband Gilbert of Chamita, Cora Abeyta of Rio Rancho, and Henrietta Castillo of Mantica, Ohio; brothers, Andres Martinez and wife Mary Ann of Santa Fe and Fernando Martinez of San Francisco, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and many other relatives.
The family requests that memorials in his memory be made to the New Mexico Highlands University Foundation, c/o Phillip Ustiwanis, P.O. Box 9000, Las Vegas, N.M. 87701 for athletic scholarships. Services will be private.

BENERITO MONDRAGON, 56, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He retired from the Las Vegas Medical Center in 2001, where he was employed as a forensic psychologist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Elvira Mondragón; sister, Mary Estrada; and brother, John Mondragón.
He is survived by his son, Ben Andrew Mondragón and mother of his son, Fabiola Sanchez, both of Las Vegas, N.M.; brothers, Charles Mondragón of Las Vegas, N.M., Ralph Mondragón, and Danny Mondragón and wife Denise, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Alice Duran of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Bernice Montaño and husband Joe, and Angela Mondragón, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; special friend, Margie Garcia from Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at noon today at the Victory Life Church in Las Vegas, N.M., with burial to follow at 3 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe with full military honors. The family wishes to invite everyone after the burial to a gathering at 5 p.m. at the American Legion, Las Vegas, N.M.

BRADLEY MORRIS THOMAS , 72, of Santa Fe died Sunday from complications following surgery for lung cancer.
He was a third generation and lifelong resident of Santa Fe. He was a real estate entrepreneur and established landmarks in the community including a significant portion of St. Michael's Drive. He was actively involved in many community groups including; the 4th of July United Way pancake breakfast for 22 years, the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, and he served for several years as president of the Fairview Cemetery Preservation Association. He was a member and former usher of the downtown First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe. His grandfather helped establish the church and his father was involved in its remodeling. Dr. Benjamin M. Thomas, his grandfather, became Indian Agent and was later appointed as the first Secretary of the Territory of New Mexico in the late 1880's by President Benjamin Harrison; and Ester Thomas, his grandmother, was instrumental in the founding of Santa Fe High School.
He is survived by his children, Sylvia L. Walter, Bradley M. Thomas III, Barbara T. Bryant, Douglas C. Thomas, Forrest R. Thomas, and nine grandchildren; sister, Virginia Thomas Nydes; and special companion Barbara Maclellan.
Visitation is 3:30-7 p.m. Friday at Berardinelli Chapel, 1399 Luisa St. and noon-1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. A public funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery. Donations may be made in his honor to the Fairview Cemetery Preservation Association, P.O. Box 5958 Santa Fe, N.M. 87502, or the First Presbyterian Church at 208 Grant St. Santa Fe, N.M. 87501.
