Victor J. Martinez, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, June 19, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Martinez; five sons, Jerry Martinez, Thomas Martinez, Robert Martinez, Richard Martinez and Aaron Martinez; and one daughter, Laura Martinez. Mr. Martinez was a veteran of both the Korean War and Vietnam War, and he served his country proudly. Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Rev. Tony Chavez officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all relatives and friends who were so kind and sympathetic during their recent loss. Your kindness will always be remembered. Thomas J. McCullough, 84, old soldier, strong patriot, and good man, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, died Monday, June 19, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna F. McCullough of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. McCullough also had many relatives and friends all over the states and overseas. He was a WWII Combat Infantry Badge Winner; and was an 11th Airborne Paratrooper Veteran in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. McCullough was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 32. He volunteered at Lovelace Hospital for 23 years and two years at the VA Hospital. Mr. McCullough was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Sophie Gurule reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Thomas Daniel Montoya went to be with Our Lord and Savior on June 19, 2000. He graduated from Del Norte High School in 1978 and went to receive his Juris Doctorate with honors from Denver University. He affected the lives and protected the rights of citizens of New Mexico by providing his services to the State of New Mexico Corporation Commission. Everyone who was blessed to have known him, have been forever touched by his love and heart of gold. He will be missed deeply by all. Thomas is survived by his wife, Yvette; parents, Orie and Nellie Montoya; son, Thomas Joseph (T.J.) Montoya; daughters, Desiree, Lynette and Vanessa; brothers, Jerry Montoya and wife, Phyllis, Mark Montoya and wife, Michelle; sister, Sheila Ellison and husband, Clinton Jr.; grandson, Daniel; and nieces and nephews, Rashelle, Jessica, Jacob, T.T. Octavia, Jerilyn, Joseph, Joel and Erza. Funeral services for Thomas will be held on Friday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Ella Nickerson, 84, born March 14, 1916, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at the Cottages of Albuquerque. She is survived by her son, Jerome Nickerson and wife, Toni Hippili of Monarch Beach, CA; two step-children; and five sisters, Fae Norman of Seal Beach, CA, Viola Gamewell of Wichita Falls, TX, Phyllis Bradley of Manchester, MD, Eunice Powers, and Moureen Schwarting, both of Albuquerque. Mrs. Nickerson was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Nickerson; brothers, Chris Chavez, and Bennie Chavez; and sister, Carmen Stalworthy. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, with Father Arkad Biczak Celebrant, Pepe Cru, organist, and Cathy Brandt, vocalist. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Powers, Brad Pyles, Ken Perwin, Scott Pringle, Ralph Brandt, and Tim Hartley. Mrs. Nora G. Perea died Saturday in Albuquerque at the age of 93. Mrs. Perea loved to crochet and embroider. She was active in the Barelas Senior Center and was a member of the St. Jude National Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Perea; son, Joseph Perea; and grandson, Dr. Jimmy Perea. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Perea; grandchildren, Joey Perea, Phillip Perea and friend, Lisa Lopez, Cathy Perea and Patricia Madonia and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Kristina Perea, Helen Perea-Bhasker, Jeff Bhasker, Kedar Bhasker and Helga Bhasker; great-great-granddaughter, Antoinette Lopez; and great-granddaughter-in-law, Addy and husband, Ravi Bhasker. Funeral services for Mrs. Perea will be held on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ravi Bhasker, Kedar Bhasker, Larry Gutierrez, Lawrence Gutierrez, Christopher Otero and Donnie Luna. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Pena and Bernie Pena. Antonio J. Pino, age 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died June 18, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Alice Pino of Albuquerque; daughter, Mary Ann Baca and husband, Oz of Tome; sons, David Pino and wife, Barbara of Hobbs, B.P. (Bolie) Pino; sisters, Flora Padilla, Nica Chavez, Petrita Ciddio; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beautiful granddaughter, Candace Pino; two sisters; and one brother. Mr. Pino was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He was very active at Holy Ghost serving as an usher and helping with bingo. He retired from Sandia after 30 years of devoted service. He was also a member of American Legion Post 13 and Knights of Columbus Council 641. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, with Deacon Ubaldo Chavez reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 22, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with Father Tom Mayefske as Celebrant. Doll Randel, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died on June 17, 2000. She formerly worked for the NM Motor Vehicle Division and was active at Palo Duro Senior Center. Her husband, Lloyd Randel, preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by three children, Beverly Randel Schlick, Leigh Louise Matthewson and Lloyd B. Randel, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Piper, Trina, Colleen, Gina, Eric, Randy and Kari; and seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Nicholas, Ariana, Kassel, Tallie, Olympia, and Spencer. Viewing will be on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by services at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating. Donald A. Richardson, 67, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past ten years, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2000. Donald was born on August 24, 1932, the son of Albert and Pearl Holguin Richardson in Allison, New Mexico. Donald had worked for the El Paso Gas Company for 33 years before retiring. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Donald was preceded in death by a son, William Paul Stewart; and his brother, James L. Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Dona Richardson of Rio Rancho; daughter, Carol Sandoval of Las Cruces; two sisters, Mary Milosevich and Emma Pecoraro, both of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Brian and Stacy Sandoval of Las Cruces. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, 2000, 11:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Joseph Guadalupe Sandoval, 82, died on June 19, 2000 in Albuquerque. He was born in Golondrinas, NM and lived most of his life in Las Vegas, NM. He served in the US Navy during World War II and retired from the New Mexico National Guard after 29 years. He attended the Chemical Corps School and received the Army Commendation Medal and the Branch Immaterial School Certificate. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus - Council 804 and Veterans of Foreign Wars - Las Vegas Post. Former Governor Bruce King presented him with the Circle of Excellence Award for service to senior citizens and also appointed him to the Agency of Aging State Council. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Celia O. Sandoval of Las Vegas, NM; children, Robert Sandoval and wife, Nancy of Fullerton, CA, David P. Sandoval and wife, Connie and Celina Rabourn and husband, Tom, all of Albuquerque, Joseph C. Sandoval of Wichita, KS and Paul Sandoval and wife, Kim of Halfway, OR; sisters, Mary, Margaret, Theresa and Camy; and brothers, Louis and Roland. He is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie McClintock, Robert Sandoval, Christine L. Sandoval, Julie D. Sandoval, Dara Casados, Erth Sandoval, Skye Sandoval, Chava Sandoval and Celine Sandoval; and by five great-grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Interment will follow at 12:00 noon at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Virginia "Jeri" Stinnett, born February 13, 1921 in Lynchburg, VA, passed away June 19, 2000 in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Foley Stinnett. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Gayle Rosenberg and her husband, Rex of Great Bend, KS and also by many special friends. Services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, Friday, June 23, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. She will be eternally interred with her beloved husband. Hildred C. Stotts, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, June 17, 2000. She is survived by her sister, Helen Stach of Elgin, TX; nephews, Roland Carlson, Jr. and wife, Sally of Victoria, TX and Charles Boettcher and wife, Beth of East Bernard, TX; and niece, Tina Hollingsworth of Houston, TX. Frances Tooker, 84, a resident of Belen Health Care, died Monday, June 19, 2000, following an illness. Mrs. Tooker was born June 2, 1916 in Roswell to the home of Silas Beryl McClean and the former Daisy Esther Hill. She was reared and attended school at Yeso, NM. She worked at Akin General Store in Yeso and later at Teeter's Department Store in Fort Sumner. She married John W. Tooker on December 25, 1941 in Fort Sumner. They made their home in Twin Falls, Idaho, where they raised their four children. Frances worked for the Paperback Bookworm in Twin Falls. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of Baptist Women at Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Twin Falls, ID until her health prevented her attendance. She made her home at Belen Health Care in 1998. Mrs. Tooker was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bates D. McClean in 1989. Survivors include her husband, John W. Tooker of Albuquerque; three sons, William T. Tooker of San Diego, CA, John S. Tooker and wife, Maria of Rio Rancho, James A. Tooker of San Jose, CA; one daughter, Mary K. Chandler and husband, Leon of Orlando, FL. Other survivors include five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family prefers memorials, in memory of Frances Tooker, to the Missions Fund, Eastside Southern Baptist Church, 204 Eastland Drive N., Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Arthur Van Den Kolk, May 9, 1964 - June 16, 2000, son of Ronald and Diene Van Den Kolk, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He is survived by his sisters, Raina McLean, Geri Blackmon and Anne Dosch; and his brother, Frank Kolk. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. ROBERT E. ENCINIAS, 25, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Monday in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 17, 1974, to Evaristo Encinias and Sophie Gallegos Encinias in Las Vegas. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. He enjoyed riding horses. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Luis Gallegos; and grandmother, Adelia Encinias. He is survived by his best friend, Suzanne Pino of Las Vegas; daughter, Roberta Duran; sons Dylon Encinias, Martin Encinias and Jesus Encinias, all of Las Vegas; father, Evaristo Encinias of Las Vegas; mother, Sophie Encinias of Las Vegas; brothers Leroy Encinias and wife Ruth, Gene Encinias and wife Stella, all of Las Vegas, Daniel Encinias and wife Lori of Rociada, and Louie Encinias of Albuquerque; sisters Jeanette Montoya and husband Richard of Los Montoyas, and Annabelle White and husband David; and numerous other relatives and friends. LINDA L. GREY, 60, of Espaņola died Sunday following a lengthy illness. She was a preschool teacher for many years. She is survived by her husband, William Grey of Espaņola; sons Jim Grey and girlfriend Leona Baca of Santa Clara, and Robert Grey of Espaņola; and granddaughter, Mikayla Grey of Santa Clara. HELEN C. HAYNES, 82, of La Mesilla died Monday following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ervin Haynes; and brother, Demetrio A. Castro. She is survived by her children Mary Ann David and husband Walter Roy of La Mesilla, Willie E. Haynes and wife Vicky of Ojo Caliente, and Dolores Battraw and husband Danny of Casa Grande, Ariz.; grandsons Randall Haynes and Met Haynes of Los Alamos, Frank W. David and wife Maggie of La Mesilla, and Brandon Battraw of Arizona; and great-granddaughter, Kasey Haynes of Los Alamos. MARTHA MAESTAS, 52, of Ranchitos died Monday of a sudden illness. She was a member of Victory Faith Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Pedro Trujillo; brother, Freddie Trujillo; father-in-law, Jose D. Maestas; and close friend, Josefa Aranda. She is survived by her husband, Tito Maestas of Ranchitos; three children, Kimberly Maestas and husband Duane Clemons of Espaņola, Jacob Maestas and wife Ramona of Chili, Sonya Williams and husband Jeffrey of Phoenix; grandchildren, Tyrone Clemons of Espaņola and Shauntel Williams of Phoenix; close friend, Sandra Espinoza of Ranchitos; brothers, Rudy Trujillo and Theresa of Hernandez, Bobby Trujillo and wife Flora of Abiquiu, Michael Trujillo of Albuquerque, Sammy Trujillo of Chili, Joseph Trujillo of Hernandez, Larry Trujillo and wife Annabelle of Hernandez and Lito Aranda of Reno; sisters, Kathy Ortiz and husband Al of Albuquerque, Pauline Archuleta of Hernandez, Darlene Peterson of Albuquerque, Ester Price of Albuquerque, Gaby Martinez and husband George of Reno; and mother-in-law, Mercedes Salazar of Ranchitos. Harold D. Anamosa of Albuquerque died on June 18, 2001 at the age of 80 in Branson, MO. He was born in Kerrville, Texas on September 13, 1920. After business college, he joined the War Department in Washington, D.C. in 1940, and then joined the U.S. Army in 1942. He served as a Chief Warrant Officer with the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, D.C. during World War II, and traveled with President Roosevelt to the Allied conferences at Quebec, Potsdam, Malta, Yalta and Cairo. He was awarded the Legion of Merit, the highest non-combat military award, by the United States, and was awarded the Order of the British Empire by the British Government. After the war, Mr. Anamosa went to work for the newly-formed Atomic Energy Commission in Washington, D.C., and later became Assistant Secretary of the Secretariat of AEC. In 1965, he transferred to AEC's Contracting Division in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked until retiring in 1977. He joined Public Service Company of New Mexico in 1977, and worked there negotiating contracts until 1981. Mr. Anamosa was married 36 years to Mary Ann Hughes and for 18 years to Mary Elizabeth McCarthy. He was an avid bridge player and enjoyed camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing. Starting in 1985, he volunteered with the New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors. He was recognized many times by blood banks in Maryland and Albuquerque. He donated over 40 gallons of blood in his lifetime. Mr. Anamosa is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth McCarthy Anamosa; his children, Pat Anamosa and wife, Nga, Micky Anamosa Hogue and husband, Curtis, Robin H. Dea, Kathleen Anamosa and husband, Jim Taggard, Marti Anamosa and husband, Duane Fulgham, Paul Anamosa and wife, Frances, Bill Anamosa and wife, Sian, Mary Claire West and husband, Alan, and Jim Anamosa; the mother of his children, Mary Ann Hughes Anamosa of Austin, Texas; his stepchildren, Mary Ellen Stanton and husband, Mike Stanton, Mike McCarthy and wife, Frances, Julie Schreiber and husband, Doug, Kathleen Gray and husband, Pat, and John McCarthy; his sister, Jennie Rosecrans of Tucson, Arizona; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Jim McCarthy in 1994. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2001, 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E. Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Benjamin B. (Ben) Apodaca, will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Seboyta, NM. Robert C. Baddaker, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948. Bob received his final order on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 and is on eternal patrol. He was born in Waukegan, IL on February 23, 1923. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey Baddaker of Albuquerque; son, James R. Baddaker and wife, Donna of Grapevine, TX; daughter, Linda B. Plymale and husband, Allen; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Laura Kee and Calvin Wade of Palermo, ME. Bob was a Submariner in WWII and after completing his education he worked 30 years for IRS. He was a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII, U.S. Submarine Veterans, Inc and the D.A.V. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Monday, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment of cremains will take place Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Antoinette C. Bannis, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1970, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2001. Antoinette was born June 8, 1917 the daughter of Nicholas and Katherine Bereolos Cotsones in Kankanee, Illinois. Toni and her husband came to New Mexico from Minneapolis, Minnesota where they had owned a restaurant. Toni and her husband, Tom traveled the world together. Toni had been an entertainer, known as Toni Cotton. She played in night clubs, and entertained the servicemen at the USO's. She and Tom retired to Rio Rancho. Toni was a member of the Daughters of Penelope, the Philothochos Society, the Ranchetts; Young at Heart, and Project Happiness. Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1980. She is survived by one Brother, Leo Cotsones of Kankakee, IL; and two nieces, in Sun City, AZ. The Services for Toni will be held today, Thursday, June 21, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street SE, Albuquerque, NM with Fr. Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho, 892-9920.

Carlos Barela a life long resident of New Mexico died June 20, 2001 surrounded by the people he loved. Born April 10, 1909 he had lived a wonderful 92 years on this earth. During his 92 years, he accomplished many things. He maintained a ranch in Acomita, NM along with a home he bought in 1945 in Albuquerque, NM. He worked at the Santa Fe train yards and also as a millwright man at the New Mexico Tank and Culvert Co. Out of all his jobs, he loved being a cowboy most, roaming the wide-open spaces rounding up cattle. He attended school in McCarty's, Albuquerque, Grants and also was sent to study at the Indian school in Santa Fe. On November 3, 1932 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Nicomedes Armijo in San Fidel, NM. He loved cowboy movies, strawberry ice cream, singing, cigars, his favorite horse Roanie, candy with nuts, the summer, his ranch, his cowboy hat, his model A ford, sitting on the front porch at night and most of all his family and friends. Carlos is survived by his wife, Nicomedes, his daughter, Delores Oehm; three grandchildren, Jean Sinclair and husband, Curtis Sinclair, Debbie Otero and husband, John Otero, Carl A. Apodaca and wife, Anita Apodaca; six great-grandchildren, Nicole Sinclair and husband, Michael Sibley, Lisa Arnold and husband, Brian Arnold, Matthew Otero, Krystin Apodaca, Carl C. Apodaca; Phillip Otero. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends further survive him. In addition to his parents, Francisco and Conception Barela, he was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and an infant son, Diego. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, June 21, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Stover. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 22, 2001, at St. Anne Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Acomita at the family cemetery. The family wishes to give thanks to all the staff at Laurel View who helped care for him and also the Sandia Hospice staff who helped him in his last days. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222.

George E. Beers, 95, a resident of Port Orange, FL and a former resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001. He is survived by his son, Paul J. Beers of Alhambra, CA; daughters, Margaret Tarpey of Port Orange, FL and Rosemary Stephens of Placitas; brother, Richard Beers of Franklin, PA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Beers was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laura; and son, William E. Beers. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Mr. Beers was a retired machinist for 'ACF' and the Atomic Energy Commission. He enjoyed traveling with the Silver Streak Club. Mr. Beers also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Tom Jones reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE, with Father Francis Malley, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the hospice group of your choice. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

John Cammann, 44, died June 6, 2001 of natural causes. He was a truck driver for Carlisle Van Lines and was in Florida at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Boyd Cammann; sons, Joshua and Jesse; his mother, Constance of Kearney, NJ and grandmother, Mary Keifer of Cooper City, FL. Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 22, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Mathinson Park on the corner of Morris and Lexington NE, N of Menaul.

Ray Herman Chambers, 74, passed away at the Albuquerque, V. A. Hospital on June 18, 2001. He was a resident of Albuquerque for 47 years and was a principal partner in the Engineering Firm of Chambers, Campbell, Isaacson and Chaplin. The firm did engineering and architectural work for the States of New Mexico and Arizona. Ray was an officer in the Army Corp of Engineers during World War II. He graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and was outstanding in athletics and took 2nd place in the high jump in the NCAA Tournament. He also lettered in basketball and track. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Alice I. Dahl. He is survived by his wife, Oueta B. Chambers; four daughters, Christine Caton and husband, Scott, of Alamosa, CO, Diana Bisbee and husband, Hexamer, of Springdale, AR, Lisa Chambers of Boulder, CO, and Katrina Wood of Albuquerque, NM; stepson, Bill McAfee of Topeka, KS; brother, Thomas Alden Chambers and wife, Marilynn, of Spring City, TN; sisters, Patsy Stein and husband, Jack of Prescott, AZ, and Linda Waugh and husband, Max, of Albuquerque, NM; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He retired to the Four Hills area and enjoyed life watching his grandchildren grow up, golf and hunting. Ray was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque. No Service will be held. Cremation has taken place and the remains will be interred at his ranch in Colorado. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Edward Brant Cunningham, 74, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia, MO. He was born December 24, 1926 in Paris, TX, the son of William Barton Cunningham and Murline Tubbs Cunningham. He was married on December 11, 1971 in Las Vegas, NV, to Jeanne M. Mitchell who survives at the home. He was a graduate of Del Rio High School, Del Rio, TX, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Construction from Texas A & M University in 1949. He owned and operated Cunningham Construction Company, Inc., Albuquerque, NM, for 25 years, and later was employed with Mission Plan, Inc., in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri for seven years; American Prearranged Services, Jefferson City, MO for six years where he served as vice-president of sales; and with Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home for the past four years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the Baptist Faith; and was a member of the American Legion; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the National Rifle Association. Other survivors include a daughter, Tiffany N. Cunningham, Jefferson City, MO; twin sons, Monte Cunningham, Las Cruces, NM, and Ronny Cunningham, Albuquerque, NM; three step-daughters, Candy Candelaria, Bernalillo, NM, Vickie Shurtleff, Albuquerque, NM; and Susie Rhodes, Rio Rancho, NM; one step-son, Jack Rhodes, Dallas, TX; two granddaughters; four step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a brother, Herman L. Cunningham, Milledgeville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Gina Cunningham. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Missouri. Burial with full military honors will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2001 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Cancer Research Center, 3501 Barrywood Drive, Columbia, MO 65201-6570.

Newell Eastburg, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952 and was born in Iowa, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Eastburg; daughters, Linda Eastburg of Denver and Gwen Eastburg and husband, Jim Lowrey and son, Zachary Guay; son, Randy Eastburg and wife, Lisa and children, Bradley Bowling and Brooke Eastburg; sister-in-law, Chloe Eastburg and daughter, Tena Eastburg and numerous relatives in Western, KS. Newell entered the Army in the Costal Artillery Unit in WWII at the age of 17. That where he gained experience in the printing business. And remained in the printing business for 57 years and finished his career for Starline Printing where he worked for many years. He met his beautiful wife in Denver, Colorado where they married, there after moved to Albuquerque, NM to start their family. He was a member of the Hoffmantown Church and loved going to horse races and going to his sons car lot. Newell also loved sporting events especially those that his children and grandchildren were involved in. Services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2001, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Road N.W., with Pastor Jim Williams, officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd N.E. Friends may visit on Thursday, June 21, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109 or Kaseman Hospice, P.O. Box 26666, Albuquerque, NM 87125.

Tony V. Gallegos, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Monday, June 18, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hafiza Hindi Gallegos; and daughter, Bonita C. Fenn. Children include sons, Richard and wife, Nancy, Anthony and wife, Diana, Jimmy and wife, Vicki; daughters, Theresa Easley and husband, Robert, Carla Gallegos and husband, Jason Robertson, all of Albuquerque; Clare Lunsted and husband, Ron of Aurora, CO; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; (to whom he was better known as 'Tata'); sisters, Jenny Tapia of Albuquerque and Helen Garner of Las Vegas; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives. Tony became a professional boxer in his teens after winning the Golden Gloves Championship. Later he moved his family to the bay area of California where he worked in the Marin County shipyards as a foreman. He finished his career of 29 years with the federal government working both in Los Alamos and Albuquerque. His hobbies included fishing, traveling, building and an occasional gambling trip with his wife and children. Tony was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE., with Father Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jason Gallegos, Chris Gallegos, Steven Easley, Jay Easley, Shaun Gallegos and Dennis Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Rick Gallegos, Erick Gallegos, Robert Easley, Mike Easley, Alex Gallegos, Valerie Lunsted, Shayna Lunsted, Joshua Robertson, Jenae Robertson and Tracy Harrison.
