Mrs. Matilde M. Romo, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 15, 1999. Mrs. Romo is survived by one son, Tony M. Romo; one daughter-granddaughter, Doris Chavez and husband, Rudy; sister, Dora Natividad; two grandsons, Robert Romo and Donald Encinas and wife, Wanda; great-granddaughter, Antonio, Rudy, Christopher, Marisol, Joaquin, Gabriella, Bianca, Christina and Laura; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Romo was preceded in death by her husband, Albino and her grandson, Fred Encinas. Mrs. Romo was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with viewing at the church after 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Church with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Joel Garner, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Chavez, Antonio Romo, Rudy E. Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Herman Martinez and Isaac Ruybalid. Charles (Dave) Townsend, 80, a longtime resident of New Mexico and now residing in Rio Communities since 1985, passed away on June 15, 1999. Charles was born in 1918 in Roswell, NM. He worked for the construction industry as an electrician and manager. Charles was honored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as a 50 year member on August 9, 1997. Since his retirement he was active in the Airstream Wally Byam Caravan Club International and served as President of the New Mexico Chapter in 1990. He was also a member of the Tierra Del Sol Country Club, where he enjoyed golf and social activities. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Gladys Goodlive-Townsend of 12 years; his son, John and his wife, Martha of Sedona, AZ; his daughter, Mary Jane Guerra of Mt. Shasta, CA; three grandchildren, Shelly Bilyeu, Dave Townsend, and Airanna Guerra. A memorial service will be held on Friday, 1:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Belen with Rev. Loretta Baldridge, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000. She is survived by her son, David Baldridge of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Kirsten Baldridge of Syracuse, NY; grandson, Harlan Baldridge of Glenwood Springs, CO; brothers, Claude Douglas of Platina, CA and Earl Douglas of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Bessie May Lefler of Grove, OK, and Stella Gierow of Hot Springs, AR; and best friend, Margaret Hilton of Los Alamos. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baldridge; son, Gary Baldridge; sister Ella Heifner; and brother, Marshall Douglas. In 1942, Loretta Douglas married John Baldridge and was married 50 years prior to his death. Moving to Los Alamos in 1947, she was a 20-year employee of Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, where she worked as a data analyst in Groups GMX-5 and WX-1. Loretta was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Order of Amaranth in Los Alamos. She moved to Albuquerque upon her retirement in 1976. Loretta's selfless dedication to her family and her gentle strength gained the admiration of friends throughout the nation. She touched the hearts of many. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Paul Smith officiating. Gladys Ruth Briggs nee Edwards, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verol Briggs; brothers, Gordon and Leslie Edwards; a sister, Dorothy Maffei; and grandson, J.J. Sheppard. Gladys is survived by two sons, Lynn Briggs of Austin, TX, and Don Briggs and wife, Janis of Albuquerque; two daughters, Ruth Johnson and husband, Ken of Odessa, TX, and Donna Brown and husband, David of Albuquerque. Also surviving are a sister, Evelyn Edwards of Albuquerque; a brother, Russell Edwards and wife, Winifred of Albuquerque, seven grandchildren;, two great-grandchildren, and a third on the way. Gladys enjoyed visiting with her family, she loved singing, dining out, good conversation, and her fellowship at The First Baptist Church. Friends may visit on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at The First Baptist Church of Alameda. Matias "Matt" Chavez, son of Soledad Duran and Clemente Chavez, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. He was 86. Matt was born on May 14, 1914 in Hillsboro, New Mexico. Matt died from leukemia. Matt was employed by Thrifty Drug for 30 years in Los Angeles, California. When he retired 25 years ago, he and his wife, Esther returned to their native New Mexico. Matt spent the last few years at his residence on Tobacco Road, roasting chile for his neighbors, relatives and customers who became friends. Many said his was one of the cleanest chile roasting operations around and they even got a bunch of fresh garlic with their roasting order. Matt is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther; four daughters, Dorothy, Dinah, Nannette and Debra; one son, James; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Cecelia Schultz; and brother, Ralph Bargas. A graveside service will be held for Matt at 11:00 a.m. on June 24, 2000 in Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE. Vance H. Emory, 81, passed away May 20, 2000 in Roswell, Georgia. Mr. Emory was born in Georgetown, Illinois, served in the Army during WWII, and taught Industrial Arts in Eureka, Illinois. He moved to New Mexico in 1958 where he worked for Albuquerque Public Schools, retiring in 1983. He was married to Betty Paradiso for 29 years and Eula Clark for 30 years, both deceased. He is survived by his son, Roy Emory; daughter, Glynda Stupp; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer and Bryan. Friends and family may say good-bye at the celebration of his life on Sunday, June 18, 2000 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9400 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque.

Margaret Ruth White Fry, 62, of Clarksville, Arkansas, died June 12, 2000 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a retired school teacher, 1956 graduate of Clarksville High School, 1960 graduate of University of Arkansas, and held Master of Education from the University of New Mexico, a retired school teacher from Sandia Base Elementary School in Albuquerque, a member of the First United Methodist Church, choir member, and pianist for the Men's Bible Class, member and officer of First United Methodist Women, past president P.E.O., past president of Beta Sigma Phi, past president of Kappa Kappa Iota, lifetime member of Johnson County Historical Society, lifetime member of Johnson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Funeral services will be Monday, June 19, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville, AR with burial in Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, AR. Officiating will be Rev. Lowell Eaton, Rev. Aaron Barling, Rev. Frank Clemmons. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas (J.T.) and Ruth Blackburn White; and survived by her husband, Ray Fry; and one daughter, Barbara Ruth Fry of Clarksville, AR. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ashlock, Robert Ed Farris, Bill Landrum, Harold Lewis, Dr. Richard McDougal, Dr. Powell Smith, and Lee White. Adelicio "Abie" Gallegos, passed away on June 14, 2000. He was preceded in death by his son, Albert Gallegos. Mr. Gallegos was a member of the Local 412, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 37 years. Mr. Gallegos is survived by his wife of 31 years, Maggie; two daughters, Margaret Naranjo and Theresa Alderete and husband, Neddy, all of Albuquerque; a daughter-in-law, Helen Gallegos of Los Lunas; six grandchildren, Phillip, Michael and Christina Gallegos, and Salomon, Orlando and Mario Alderete; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Vicente, Mariah, Reyna, Michelle, and Shania Gallegos; two brothers, Alejandro Gallegos and wife, Julia of Albuquerque and Louie Gallegos and wife, Theresa of Patton, CA; sister-in-law, Lucy Gallegos; two sisters, Helen Martinez and Katy Lucero and husband, Ray of Peralta. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday night at the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Iron SW. C. Paul Goodrich, a well known realtor in Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2000. He was born in Missouri Valley, IA, on June 12, 1902. Mr. Goodrich was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Edna Korth. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Margot Lange Goodrich; five children of whom he was very proud, R. Donald Goodrich and wife, Eunice of Spokane, WA, C. Ronald Goodrich and wife, Greta of Albuquerque, and Stephen K. Goodrich and wife, Wanda of Rapid City, SD, Dr. C. Paul Goodrich and wife, Cynthia of Hebron, CT, and Sharon G. Eras of Alhambra, CA; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; step-children, Cindy Lewis and husband, Tim of Albuquerque, Martin H. Lange and wife, Tina of Sarasota, FL, and Trudy Randour and husband, Charles; five step-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Harvey of Missouri Valley, IA, Merry Echo Metcalf of Scottsbluff, NE, Esther Barbour of Raliegh, NC, and Jonteel House of Wesleco, TX; and niece, Betty Gerdes of Omaha, NE. While in Iowa, he taught at Benton High School, near the Iowa Missouri Line, where Jesse James was a hero. C. Paul came to Albuquerque in 1936 from Norfolk, NE. He was employed by the Rio Grande Soil Conservation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and was assigned as a Farm Agent for the 8 northern pueblos. In 1946, he became a realtor and was active with the Albuquerque Board of Realtors. He was a recipient of the Realtor Emeritus Award and was also instrumental in setting up the multiple listing service. He served as chairman of invocation committee for the Board of Realtors. He and his twin sons attended the first New Mexico State Fair in 1937. He prided himself for attending the rodeo every year. He was a treasured member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1936, where he served as President, V. President, Elder and Chairman of the School Board. He also served as President and was a charter member of the Lutheran Retirement Association. He and his wife, Margo founded the Goodrich Endowment Scholarship Fund for worthy Lutheran Students. He was active to the end, and on June 12, his 98th birthday, he attended his bi-weekly visit to the gym. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE, with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be his daughter, Sharon Eras; sons, Ronald Goodrich, Stephen Goodrich, Dr. C. Paul Goodrich; grandsons, Thomas Goodrich, and Donald Goodrich; great-grandsons, Skip Gunderson, Ronald Gunderson, and Adam Herrera. Walter Herrmann was born at home in Johannesburg, South Africa on 2 May, 1930 to Gottlob Fredrich Herrmann, hotel proprietor, and Gertrud Louise Herrmann nee Retzlaff. He was introduced to world travel early when the family took an extended European vacation in 1939. Narrowly escaping World War II, the family returned to South Africa, where Walter continued his education, completing his BSc and all requirements for his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand by age 23. He was selected as one of two South African participants in the 1953 Foreign Students Summer Project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge Mass. At its completion, he was invited to continue his research at MIT as an exchange student. He was finally awarded his PhD by Witwatersrand University in 1955 after lengthy review of his thesis by external examiners. He married Betty Lorraine Allard in 1955, and the couple spent an extended honeymoon traveling by bicycle and Youth Hostels in Europe and the Middle East on their way back to South Africa. Walter became a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. In 1957, he was invited to return to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of the Cold War research effort, and worked in their Division of Sponsored Research, becoming one of the early scientists attempting to understand and predict the effects of intense explosions and very high speed impacts. He moved to the Sandia National Laboratories in 1964, continuing to work on the computer simulation of impacts and explosions and the behavior of materials at extreme pressures and temperatures. This allowed him to work with successive generations of supercomputers as they became available. He published numerous reports and gave many lectures at international symposia, including ones in Russia and China at the invitation of the Russian and Chinese Academics of Sciences, respectively. Entering management, he rose to become Director of Engineering Science at Sandia. He was inducted into the US National Academy of Engineering in 1993, and retired from Sandia that same year. He was divorced in 1983 and married Ednarae Bligh Gross in 1988. Throughout his life he had a keen interest in travel, mountain climbing, and amateur archaeology, and was able to indulge these interests on all continents, making many friends throughout the world. He is survived by his children, Peter and Inga Herrmann; grandchildren, Rishar, Maria and Joshua; and step-children, Allan and Jeffrey Gross, all of Albuquerque, and Janis Gross of Longmont, CO. A Memorial service will be held at the Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE (corner of Moon), on Saturday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Walter Herrmann Memorial Fund at the Zoo, Albuquerque Biological Park. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Dr. Herrmann, (891-8200).

Norman R. Loose, 92, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died at home June 14, 2000. He was born July 22, 1907 in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Evelyn J. Loose; two sons, Val A. Loose, Cleburne, TX, Russell Loose Jr., Carrollton, TX; two daughters, Linda Brannon and Susan Ratcliff, Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was formerly associated with the Sentinel Tribune, Bowling Green, Ohio; Reading Times, Reading, Pennsylvania; El Paso Times and El Paso Herald Post, El Paso, Texas; Radio Station KAVE, Carlsbad, NM; TV Station KROD, El Paso, Texas; Equitable Life Assurance Society of the U.S., Albuquerque. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #130 and the Scottish Rite Body in El Paso, TX, he was also a member of the Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple in Albuquerque. Throughout his life he was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. At a young age, he built the first radio in the town of Bowling Green, Ohio. His interest in newspapers, radio, and later, television led him to an extensive career in these fields. He was the Vice President/General Manager of KAVE in Carlsbad. While living in Carlsbad he was active in civic affairs, serving as President of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the Carlsbad Rotary Club. He hosted the popular Snoop and Scoop morning radio show that originated from the roof of Corner Drug Store in Carlsbad. Norman and wife, Evelyn, moved to Albuquerque in 1960, where they have lived until the present. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Vista Verde, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Cremation to follow. Saul "Junior" Lujan was called by our Lord to take his place in Heaven on June 15, 2000. Saul was preceded in death by his brothers, Filomeno Lujan and Jerry Lujan; and two sisters, Tillie Lujan and Sally Sprunk. Saul is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nestorita Lujan; two daughters, Linda Brunholzl and husband, Ernest and Rosie Gonzalez and husband, Ron; and a son, Saul Antonio Lujan III and wife, Lilliana. Also surviving are six sisters, Helen Trujillo, Mary Serna, Portana Apodaca, Nora Kiser, Cordelia George and Gloria Sedillo; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Saul was a hard worker, he had a successful floor covering business, and he enjoyed ranching. He was a loving grandfather, passing down his traditions and values through the generations. He enjoyed singing and recording CD's with the Los Carinojos de Nuevo Mejico Band, a New Mexican Ranchera Band that he founded. Saul was a lifelong member of Holy Child Catholic church, and a volunteer for the Democratic Party. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Friends may visit on Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m., also at Alameda chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Tijeras, with Father John Carney officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Gonzalez, Richard Fisher, Steve Gonzalez, Tom Gonzalez, Michael Wheat, and Douglas Serna. Special honorary pallbearers are Tiana, Mitchell, and Miles Lujan, and honorary pallbearers are Ernest Brunholzl and Ron Gonzalez. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in the memory of Saul Lujan, to UNM Cancer Research and Treatment Development Office, to the attention of Rosalee Montoya-Read. Willis (Gus) M. Lumry, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2000. He was born September 26, 1917 in Longmont, CO. He and his wife, Beth were married January 17, 1944. He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Wilma Stotyn of California and Doris Schleuger of Colorado; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Ollie Lumry. He was affiliated with Heights Christian Church. He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering at the University of New Mexico, and was a retired employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He served in WWII and the Korean War, and was a charter member of the 188th Fighter Squadron of the New Mexico Air National Guard. A Memorial service will be held at Heights Christian Church on Saturday, June 17 at 4:00 p.m. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Dale Robert McCaslin, born July 9, 1956, passed away Monday, June 5, 2000. Formerly of Kansas City, MO, resided in Albuquerque since 1976. His parents were Curtis Eugene McCaslin and Goldie Beatrice Robinson. He is survived by his sons, Curtis Robert McCaslin and Brandon Dale McCaslin; brothers, Lyle, Steve, Eugene, and Paul; and sister, Sherri McCaslin. He was a veteran of the USAF and was a member of the NM Air National Guard. He was employed as a heating and cooling, and sheet metal worker. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services for Dale will be held Monday, June 19, 2000 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Fe, where Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Mary L. Smith, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2000. Mary was a quiet, gentle lady with a smile and a word of encouragement to all. Her gentle spirit will be missed by her many friends at Solar Villas. She was faithful in her attendance at the Bible Study each week on Thursday evening. Mary is survived by her grandchildren, Vickie, Mickie, Carrie, Rick and Dena; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.

Pearl Janice (Jan) Tunnell, 59, a resident of Belen, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2000. She was a member of the Golf Road Church of Christ in Belen. Janis worked for Pinkerton Security Service for the past five years. Her father, John Martin, preceded her in death in 1959. Janis is survived by her husband of 12 years, Gerald Tunnell of the family home. She is also survived by her nine children, Dave and Xiomara Wright of Belen, John and Kathy Wright of Rio Communities, Janice and Larry Dolezal of Los Lunas, Ellen and Rick Agee of La Costancia, Crystal and Kevin Grapp of LaCross, WS, Lora and Robert Candelaria of El Cerro Mission, Patty and J.R. Brown of Los Lunas, Bobby Tunnell of Clovis, Michelle Tunnell of Carlsbad; her 27 grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Anna Billings and husband, Terry of Moriarty; her three sisters, Lilly Mayhill and husband, John of Tucumcari, Annabell Compary and husband, Jerry of Alamogordo, Carmen Imergoott and husband, Jeff of Rio Rancho; her three brothers, Marion Martin of Clarkston, WA, Beryl Martin and his fiance, Izella Martinez of Moriarty, Rawlin Martin and Jolene of Quantico, VA. Janis is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her two sons, David and John Wright; her four grandsons, Mark Wright, Ben Gutierrez, Daniel Clouser, Justin Wright. Nanalie Compton Watts, 86, of Las Cruces, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2000. Mrs. Watts was born on October 23, 1913 in Aiken, SC to William Bernard and Nanalie Mobley Compton. She came to Las Cruces in 1955 from South Carolina with her husband, Professor J. Gordon Watts, whom she wed in 1936 in Clemson College, SC. She received her secondary education from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. She had been a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church; the Foreign Arts Club, President of the Faculty Women's Club, a Chi Omega Mother Patroness and area advisor to Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by her daughters, Robin Echols and her husband, Floyd D. of Alto, NM and Janice Seidel and her husband, Ronald B. of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jeffery T. Seidel of Houston, TX and Amanda Ostrander and her husband, Brian of San Antonio; and a great-grandson, Luke Taylor Ostrander; her brother, Emmett M. Compton and his wife, Alice C. of Mesilla Park, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Watts will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2000 at Graham Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2000 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Dr. Larry Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to J. Gordon and Nanalie C. Watts Endowed Scholarship Fund at New Mexico State University. Services arrangements are with Graham Mortuary, 555 W. ALEJO S. GUTIERREZ, 90, of Velarde died Thursday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Raphaelita R. 'Lita' Gutierrez; parents Jose V. and Guadalupe Gutierrez; a brother, Fortino Gutierrez; and a sister, Juanita Thurman. He is survived by his daughters, Stella and husband Dewey Quarles of Belen, and Mary Day of Salt Lake City; sisters Agnes 'Nashie' Lujan and husband Joe of Española, Isabel Gutierrez of Santa Fe, Katherine Wallace of Ogden, Utah, and Mary Linda Gutierrez of Santa Fe; brothers Frank Gutierrez and wife Marietta of Little Rock, Ark., Joe Gutierrez of Albuquerque, and Amado Gutierrez of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law Clara Gutierrez of Albuquerque, Flora Ortiz of Nambé, and Sophia Vigil and husband Longino of Nambé; brothers-in-law Flavio Romero of Michigan, Paul Romero and wife Cecilia of Velarde, Eloy Romero and wife Bernice of Velarde, and Levi Romero and wife Frina of Phoenix; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Española with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. JAMES L. MILLS, 55, of Santa Fe died Friday. He was born Sept. 21, 1944, in Alamosa, Colo. He was a former Los Alamos police officer and trainer and an employee of the Law Enforcement Academy. He also had worked as a tile contractor. He was a chaplain for and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Lyle Mills; and a brother, John Mills. He is survived by his children, Elicia Garcia and husband Patrick of Oviedo, Fla., and Joel Mills and wife Jenny of Houston; a sister, Annie Laurie Montoya and husband Richard of Santa Fe; five grandchildren; the mother of his children, Syble Karkare; and numerous other relatives and friends. DELIA ADAMS UPCHURCH, 100, of Santa Fe died Friday. She was born Nov. 22, 1899, to John Quincy and Martha Craig Adams. She attended the State College for Women, now Texas Woman's University, in Denton, Texas. She married L.H. Upchurch in 1928 in Dilley, Texas. She moved to Santa Fe in 1993. she was a member of the Santa Fe Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Geneva Davidson and husband Jim of Santa Fe; a stepson, Mack Upchurch of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Carrier Danchak of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Berardinelli Chapel. Burial will take place in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Miguel D. Bachicha has moved on to be with his Lord. Miguel was born on June 25, 1958 in Albuquerque and was a high school graduate as well as a Eucharist Minister for San Ysidro Labrador. Miguel is survived by one daughter Tanya; his parents, Florencio & Rose Bachicha; brothers, David and wife, Peggy, Fernando and wife, Irene; four nieces and one nephew. Miguel was preceded in death by one son, Florencio Conrado and loved his family and will be greatly missed. Rosary will be recited Monday June 18, 2001 7:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Escabosa with Mass scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 19, 2001. Jeanne Borras, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 8, 2001. She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Johnson and Jennifer Johnson, both of Albuquerque, and Rebekah Gatti and husband, Lawrence of South Carolina; two granddaughters, Jessica Johnson of Albuquerque and Rachel Gatti of South Carolina; and sister, Diana Pierce and husband, Owen of Portales. Mrs. Borras was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Johnson in 1979.
Private family services have taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 615 Virginia SE, 87108; or to the American Heart Association, 6301 Forest Hills Drive NE, 87110.
