NEOMI ANNETTE SANDOVAL, 20, of Santa Fe, died Sunday following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 11, 1983, in Santa Fe and graduated from Capital High School in May 2002.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gilberto Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Eppie and Maida Sandoval; an uncle, Lawrence Sanchez; and cousin, Rebecca Vigil.
She is survived by her loving parents, Sandra Sanchez and Ralph Sandoval; sisters, Renee Sandoval and boyfriend Chris Baca, and Andrea Sandoval; and many other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to the Presbyterian Medical Services Hospice Center for their loving care.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at San Isidro Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at San Isidro Center. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.

JOE U. SEGOVIA, 62, of Alcalde died Friday.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Roy Segovia; mother, Josefita Sedillo Segovia; and a sister, Della Griego.
He is survived by his partner for the last 18 years, Sylvia Salazar; his children, Jake Segovia and wife Linda of Lyden, Irene Baldonado and husband Patrick of San Juan, Daniel Segovia of Santa Fe, Josefita Chavez and husband Clarence of El Llano, Johnny Segovia, and Charles Segovia both of Lyden; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his father, Cornelio Segovia of Lyden; brothers and sisters, Ermenes Segovia and wife Becky of Espaņola, Charlotte Aragonez and husband Alvaro, Rose Segovia and Pete Segovia all of Lyden; the mother of his children, Becky Segovia of Peņasco; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Saint Anne's Church in Alcalde. Interment will follow at the Cemeterio de la Iglesia Apostolica in Velarde.

LOYOLA P. TAPIA, 65, of Santa Fe died Saturday following a brief illness. She was born May 4, 1938, in Mora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Bernardo Trujillo; sister, Lydia Martinez; and brother, Isidro Trujillo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ramon Tapia; sons, Bernie Tapia and wife Helene, Pete Tapia and wife Josephine, Ray Tapia and Loyola, and Joacquin Tapia; daughter, Sandra and husband Daniel Roybal; sisters, Leora Encinias, and Eleanor Bustamante; brother, Cippy Trujillo; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Anne Parish Hall. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Parish Hall. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

LUCY LOPEZ, died Saturday after a family celebration of her 92nd birthday. She raised nine children. After being widowed, she raised her family by doing housework and working at the State Land Office coffee shop. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and was a member of Union Protectiva.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Julio Montoya in 1955 and Raymundo Lopez in 1997; brother, Delfino Sandoval; son, Michael Montoya; grandchildren, Ronnie Montoya, Theresa Montoya, and Jennifer Montoya; sister-in-law, Mattie Frymuth.
She is survived by her children, Cecelia Barrone and husband Dan, Isabel Sanchez and husband Ernest, Ernest Montoya and wife Anita, Victoria Romero and husband Manuel, Marcella Romero and husband Isaac, Rosina Romero and husband Patrick, Gilbert Montoya and wife Jennifer, Tony Montoya and wife DiAnn, sisters, Pelegrina Padilla and Albertina Ortega; stepchildren, Ray Lopez, Jr., Santiago Lopez and wife Rosella, Lucille Lopez, and Eugene Lopez; 31 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to the Hospice Center, 1400 Chama St., Santa Fe, NM 87505 or the Carmelite Monastery.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.

REBECCA LOVATO-MARTINEZ,40, died Friday following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Lovato; brother Joseph Lovato; husband Kenneth Martinez and grandparents Cipriano and Mariquita Lopez. She had a big heart and a caring personality and was always there to help others. She is survived by her daughters Corinne, Margarita and Josephine Martinez, all of Santa Fe; son Kenneth Leonard Martinez Jr., also of Santa Fe; granchildren Destiny, Audrey and Joaquin Perea, Daniel Vigil and Angelo Martinez, all of Santa Fe; her mother Dorothy Lovato of Santa Fe, grandmother Nancy Grant of Carson City, Nev., brothers Ernest Lopez and wife Donna of Truchas and Anthony Lovato of Santa Fe; sisters Debra Lovato and companion Antonio of Santa Fe, Cynthia Lovato, Lisa Lopez and Jeannette Esquibel, all of Santa Fe and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Truchas with interment to follow at El Llanito Cemetery. De Vargas Funeral Home.

CORINA MONTES, of Pojoaque and formerly of Mexico, died Sunday following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Ramos; son David Ramos, and parents Jose Montes and Maria Silveira. She is survived by her children Martin Ramos and wife Manuela, Javier Ramos and wife Norma Isella Gonzales and Glenda Ramos de Corral and husband Aurelio, all of Mexico; brothers and sisters Fidel Rodriguez and wife Rosa of Albuquerque, Manuela Rodriguez, Angela Montes and husband Juan Ramirez, Antonio Montes and wife Anna Maria Coronado, Guadalupe Montes and wife Elva Alvarado, Evedardo Montes and wife Barbara Lozano, Jose Montes and wife Petra Gomez, Victoriana Montes and Maria de Jesus Montes, all of Mexico. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada with interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cememtery. De Vargas Funeral Home.

RAYLA PARRAZ, 20, of Taos passed away unexpectedly Friday. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marcelina and Vicente Parraz, uncle, Frank Parraz and aunt, Nancy Montano. She is survived by her parents, Raymond and Irene Parraz, brother, Robert E. Padilla (Marisa) of Albuquerque, Denise Frank (Michael) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Darren Parraz of Taos. She is also survived by grandparents, Alejandro and Gertrude Montano of Arroyo Seco, godparents and uncle, Alfonso Montano (Patricia) of Virginia, uncles and aunts, Martin Montano (Mae) of Rio Rancho, Francine Barnes (Darren) of Santa Theresa, Concha Arguello (Frank) and Evelyn Archuleta, all of Taos, and Robert Parraz (Kay) of Moriarty, Anna Romero (J.D.), Becky Parraz, Tommy Parraz (Frances), all of Taos, and Joe Parraz (Stella) of Albuquerque, Martha Lujan (Eloy) of Taos, Joe Jaramillo (Pat) of Wyoming, Emilia Sanchez of Taos, Adela Gonzales (Efren) and Meliton Montano, all of Arroyo Seco, Eliseo Montano (Mary) of Utah, Ida Montano, Tina Mondragon of Utah and many other relatives and friends. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos. Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

FLORENCIO QUINTANA, 71, died Friday. He was born in La Garita on May 8, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Agneda Quintana, and brother Perfecto. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen; children Rick (Meg McGee), Louisa (Tony Savala), Sam (Rose), Danny (Cecilia), Philip, Elise (Mark) Villegas, Julie (Frank) Parisi, and Vince (Tonya); grandchildren Robin, Rick, Randy, Ryan, Justin, Sam, Samantha, Sammy, Kathleen, Danielle, John, Mario, Raquielina, Christian, Rachael, Alexandria, Danielle, Brittany, Nicolas, Carly and Vincent. He was also survived by his brothers and sisters Erminda, Leandro (Elise), Abran (Margie), Arthur, Gene (Ramona), Vidal (Glenda), Rumnaldo (Mary, Mary (Cruz), George, Lydia (Ramon) and numerous other friends and relatives. He worked at Alpha Beta for 26 years and retired from the Pueblo County Courthouse. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. Funeral services were held Monday at St. Joseph Church, with interment following at Roselawn Cemetary in Pueblo, Colo.
