Rachel Marie Moody, an angel of joy and happiness, returned home to her Father in Heaven on June 1, 2001. We had almost 23 years of joy with her. While we miss her, we anticipate an eternal reunion as a family. Rachel was born in Albuquerque, NM on September 19, 1978. She is the precious daughter of Greg and Kristina Moody, the beloved sister of Anna Slighting and husband, Brad of Salt Lake City, Utah, Matthew Moody of Tempe, Arizona and Miriam Moody of the family home and the loving aunt of Benjamin Slighting. Her paternal grandparents are Grant and Elaine Moody of Provo, Utah and her maternal grandparents are Robert and Patricia Johnson of Silver City, NM. Rachel also left behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated from Cibola High School in 1997 and was a senior at the University of New Mexico in the College of Education. She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in the West Mesa Singles Branch. She enjoyed bringing laughter, love, joy, and beauty to her family and many friends. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 1100 Montano Rd. NW. with President Kyle Mott, conducting. Pallbearers will be Matthew Moody, Brad Slighting, Neal Komadina, Nathan Frushour, Jarom Ball, and Eric Fish. French Mortuary - Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW.

Irvin L. "Dutch" Moulton, a resident of Albuquerque for 42 years, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2001. He was a graduate of University of South Dakota and retired from Sandia National Labs in 1987 after 30 years of service. Irvin was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Ballud Abyad Shrine. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Kyriss of El Paso, TX and Kay Griffin and husband, Larry, of Belen, NM; sons, Kenneth V. Moulton and wife, Abby, of Albuquerque and Roger Moulton and wife, Kathy, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jennifer Schultz and husband, Keith, of Castlerock, CO, Erin Elise Moulton of Aurora, CO, David Griffin of Belen, NM, Amanda Griffin of Belen, NM, and Christopher Moulton, Michele Moulton, Corey Moulton, all of Albuquerque; great grandchildren, Mikayla of Aurora, CO and Kaitlyn of Castle Rock, CO; and sister, Jean Scheevel of Edina, MN. Irvin was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Moulton, and daughter, Judith Mae Moulton. Services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. James W. Parrish, Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on May 26, 2001. He was born May 28, 1924 to late William and Fanny (Yonkins) Parrish, in Grande Island, Nebraska. He is survived by a loving family and his dear friends. James was a resident of Albuquerque since 1983. He was of the American Legion Post #49 and also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Club 200. Last respects will be Tuesday, June 5, 2001, from 2-7 pm at thhe Fleet Reserve Association Club 200, at 207 San Pablo SE. Interment will be held Wednesday June 6, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honours by American Legion Post #49. Arrangements for James Parrish are under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.

John G. Rael, 39, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on June 3, 2001 and is now in Heaven with our Lord. John is the beloved husband of five years to Patricia G. Rael. He is also survived by his loving parents, John G. Rael Sr. and Marcy; his sister, Gloria; his grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Baca; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; his mother and father-in-law, Florence and Polo Garcia. John was a member of the Catholic Church. A Prayer Service will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with visitation at the church 6:30 p.m. Sister Marcia, Ann Avalon and Chritine Spahn, reciting. Emanuel A. Rakha, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, died Saturday, June 2, 2001. He is survived by his son, Anasar R. Emanuel of Albuquerque; daughters, Amber Dean and husband, Sajid, Anser Dean, and Aster Khan and husband, Mohammed, all of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Elvina Hamied, Daisy Rakha and Sosan Qurashi; and brothers, Samuel Rakha, John Steven, Alfred Batti, and Milvard Batti. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva Emanuel on July 26, 1997. He taught math in Pakistan and at Highland High School. Services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2001, 2:30 p.m., at Chester T. James "Shane" Richardson, 1969-2001. James "Shane" Richardson, born in Socorro on Father's Day, June 15, 1969, died at his home last week in Albuquerque. He would have been 32 this month. He was the first-born son of Jim Richardson and Gloria Grice Richardson, formerly of Socorro who recently moved to Albuquerque. He is survived by his parents; a younger brother, Jared Richardson and his wife, Jennie; his dear little sister, Lacie Jeanne Richardson; his little dog, Bailey; and two nephews, Austin and Kros, all now of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jim and Lola Grice of Albuquerque and Buford Richardson Socorro; several aunts and uncles, Kathy Richardson of Socorro, Gwen and Tom Colwell of Littleton, CO., and Judi Richardson, Harry and Elaine Richardson, and Jimmy and Donna Grice, all of Albuquerque, and 14 cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Harriet Crawford Richardson. A Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix NE in Albuquerque, NM with Funeral Mass immediately following at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Robert A. Ronald Age 75. He was born February 8, 1926 in Seattle, WA and passed away May 23, 2001 in Kirkland, WA.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Robin Nicely, Susan J. Ronald, and Sharon J. Richter; son, Robert A. Ronald II; and five grandchildren, Shantelle Silva, Kane Silva, Edward Gardipe, Shanlee Richter and Riley Richter.

Ella Maria Sanchez, born January 21, 1966 in Seattle, Washington, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2001 after a long battle with cancer. Ella had a great love for the many children whose lives she touched. As well, Ella loved animals, especially her dog, Tyson. Ella loved surrounding herself with beautiful plants and tenderly cared for each of them. Ella, survived by her parents, Milton and Ninfa Sanchez of Red River; three brothers, Roland Sanchez of Albuquerque, Milton JD Sanchez and his wife, Renee of Winfield, Kansas, Patrick Sanchez and his wife, Cindy of Pojoaque; two sisters, Theresa Brenner and her husband, David of Orchard Park, New York, and Lisa Rubio and her fiance;, Frank Valencia of Albuquerque. Ella, also survived by her ten loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Tuesday, June 5, 2001, 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE. Mark H. Tattan of Hobbs, NM passed away June 3, 2001 at the age of 84. Mark was born in Glassow, MT on May 4, 1917. He married Frances Tattan on June 12, 1955 in Tucson, AZ. Mr. Tattan is survived by his two daughters, Marcia Wolske and Margaret Patterson of Hobbs; two sisters, Mary Bridges of Pasco, WA, Theodora Lewis of Broken Bow, OK; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Meredith; and his second wife, Frances on April 24, 2001; and a brother. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church with Fr. Edwin Watts. Cremation will taken place. Kate Schubert Torres, a resident of Albuquerque for 28 years, died Saturday, June 2, 2001. She is survived by her son, Estanislado Torres of Albuquerque; daughter, Priscilla T. Ortega of Albuquerque; grandsons, Richard Ortega and wife, Delrose of The Woodlands, TX, John Ortega and wife, Lynn of San Clemente, CA; Greg Ortega and wife, Tracie of Austin, TX, and Edward Stan Torres of Albuquerque; granddaughters; Kathy Casillas and husband, Leonard of Round Rock, TX, Renee Pardo of Albuquerque; Denise Sturm and husband, Robert of Santa Rosa, CA, and Nichole Dodge and husband, Raymond, of Santa Clorita, CA; brother, Alfred Schubert and wife, Edwina of Albuquerque; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estanislado Torres; son, Francis Torres; and grandsons, Ernest Andrew Torres and Paul Ortega. Kate taught school in Valencia County for 20 years. She was a member of The Guild of Our Lady of Fatima, the Legion of Mary, League of the Sacred Heart, and People's Eucharistic League of the Blessed Sacrament of St. Charles. JESSE WILLIE ESPINOZA, 36, of Chimayo died Saturday in Cuba, N.M., following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Espinoza; godparents and grandparents Esquipula and Carmelita Espinoza; other grandfathers Benjamin Vigil, and Jose La Cruz Pacheco; and uncles Levi and Lorenzo Espinoza. He is survived by his children Gerald and companion Bernadette of Ojo Caliente, Lisa Marie, and Michelle, all of Tierra Azul; mother of his children, Corrine Salazar of Tierra Azul; mother, Esther Espinoza of Chimayo; sister, Jessica and husband Joe of Chimayo; grandmothers Luisita Vigil of Cundiyo, and Zulema Chavez Harvey of Santa Fe; aunt, Tonie and Salvador Martinez of Chimayo; and numerous other relatives and friends. ALBINITA BONEY GALLEGOS, 100, of Trujillo died Sunday at the Northeastern Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M. She was born Dec. 16, 1900, to Florencio and Secundina Baca-Boney. She was a housewife and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eduardo Gallegos; children Viola, Carlos, and Frank; and sister, Anna Lucero. She is survived by her children Dorothy Salazar and husband Apolonio, Petrita Vinci and husband Joe, Ed Gallegos and girlfriend Ellen, and Juan Gallegos and wife Teresa, all of Pueblo, Colo., Emilio Gallegos of Susanville, Calif., Gilbert Gallegos of Trujillo, Henry Gallegos and wife Jane of Pueblo, Colo., Phil Gallegos and wife Roberta of Elko, Nev., and Louis Gallegos of Reno, Nev.; daughters-in-law Pauline Gallegos of Las Vegas, N.M., and Anna Mae Gallegos of Santa Fe; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Lopez and husband Tony of Ocate; brother-in-law, Carlos Gallegos of Trujillo; sisters-in-law Maria Lujan of California, and Maria Gallegos of Las Vegas, N.M.; special cousin, Margaret Lester of Trujillo; and numerous other relatives and friends. JAMES MULLINS, 88, of Abiquiu died Saturday following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Mullins; wife, Radie Mullins; sons Paul, Bobby Ray, and Mayford Niel Mullins; brother, Booker Mullins; and sister, Mae Sheets. He is survived by his daughters Patsy Mullins, and Pauline Mullins, both of Campbels Creek, W.V., and Faye Montoya and husband Robert of Abiquiu; sister, Vina Jackson of Valley Fork, W.V.; grandsons Alfredo Montoya, and Brian Archuleta, both of Abiquiu; and numerous other relatives and friends. FELIX TRUJILLO, 72, of Taos died Sunday. He was retired from the Gas Company of New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II. He was a member of the Board of Taos Ancianos and Senior Center, Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Guard, Optimists, Crime Stoppers, Taos Planning and Zoning, Opera Guild, Taos Feeds Taos, Kiwanis Club and the Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Alyce Trujillo; children Teresa Welch, Elizabeth Toelle, Nicholas Trujillo, Catherine Belcher, Felix Trujillo Jr., and Carla Sisneros; one brother; six sisters; stepchildren Ray, Joniva, and Louis Mondragon; granddaughter, Emmi Mondragon; and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home in Taos. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Rosalie took pride in her home and yard, she also adored her children and grandchildren with all her heart. A special thank you to the UNM Cancer Center Hospice and especially Dr. John Saiki. Rudy E. Apodaca passed away on May 31, 2002.
Rudy is survied by his loving mother, Hermancita Lerma; daughter, Heather Tarter; four sisters, Mary Jane Apodaca, Patsy Lucero, Joann Vigil and Sandra Aviles and husband, Ramon from Tuscon Ariz; one brother, Michael Apodaca and wife, Josephine from San Diego, CA.
Creamation has taken place and Services will be held at South Valley Apostolic Church 1242 Atrisco Rd. SW, June 5, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
Rudy also is survied by many nephews and nieces and many friends.

Nicholas Edward Beeman born May 20, 1980 went to the Lord on June 2, 2002. He was greeted in Heaven by his grandmother, Nancy Smith; and uncle, Nick Guynn. He is survived by his parents, Carl and Donna Beeman; his sister, Kimberly Valenzuela and husband, Tommy; his brother, Justin Beeman; his aunts and uncles, Mary Polnaszek, Bobby Cross and wife, Kim, Charlie Guynn, Dawn Guynn, Kim Jarboe and husband, Danny, Brenda Smith, Beverly Duncan and Mike Beeman; numerous cousins; and his special friend, Shirley Cole; Nicholas attended West Mesa High School and recently graduated from the C.E.S.S. Program. Nicholas was a special child and we were blessed to have had him for 22 years. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known and loved him. Irene Jimenez Candelaria, 77, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, May 31, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carlos Candelaria of Albuquerque; two sons, Jonathan Candelaria and wife, Katherine of Scottsdale, AZ and David Candelaria of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Tara Candelaria and Ryan Candelaria, both of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, Alejandro Jimenez; and sisters, Mercedes Martinez and Esther Gerstel, all of Albuquerque. Mrs. Candelaria was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Ester Jimenez; and brother, Manuel Jimenez, Jr. She was a retired registered nurse in Albuquerque and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith NE, with Rev. Jaime Quinones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. William Jewel Carr, 77, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2002. He was born in Snyder, Missouri and later moved to New Mexico with his mother, two sisters and a brother in 1939. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1942. After high school, he served his country proudly with the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Ocean. He then worked as a Refrigeration Mechanic for Sandia Base Engineer's Office until his retirement in 1967. William is survived by his loving wife whom he married in 1952, Judith; his daughter, Patricia Gallegos; his two sisters, Louise Davis and Jean Carr; and one brother, Don Carr. The family suggests donations be made in William's name to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd, Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305, or to the Nature Conservancy of New Mexico, 212 E. James Dalmain Craig, 84, and a resident of the Albuquerque area for 64 years, died on Saturday, June 1, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thelma Craig of Belen; son, Dennis Edwin Craig and wife, Kaaren of Albuquerque; daughter, Margaret Beth Eitzen of Gaithersburg, MD; five grandchildren, Kala Ruth Smith and husband, James, Brian C. Craig, Aaron K. Craig, Zachary Eitzen and Eva Eitzen; four sisters, Elizabeth McKinney, Davina Delaney, both of Albuquerque, Ruth May Clinesmith and husband, Bruce, of Port Charlotte, FL and Sarah Yoakum and husband, Randy of Las Cruces, NM; brother-in-law, N.B. Tolman and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; and one sister. James loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and being in the outdoors. Dr. Sabit Gabay, 80, a resident of Albuquerque for seven months, died Sunday, June 2, 2002. He is survived by his sons, Irwin M. Gabay and wife, Beverly, and Nelson M. Gabay and wife, Paula, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Janis Simcha Gabay of San Diego, CA; grandson, Samuel J. Gabay, "Papa", of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Rebekah K. Gabay of Albuquerque; brother, Cetin Gabay and wife, Rezan, of Geneva, Switzerland; and also Betty Gabay of Albuquerque. Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Garcia died on Friday May 31, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 65. She is survived by her daughters, Georgia Contreras and Kiki Garcia- Renick,brothers Paul Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, John Sanchez; three grandchildren, Desiree Contreras, Denise Contreas, Freddie Contreras; three great-grandchildren, Arianna Renick, Lourdes Contreras, Trinity Contreras. Inurnment Service will be held on Thursday at St. Charles where Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Memorial.

John R. Johnson, age 67, died at his home on Friday, May 31, 2002.
A Memorial Service will be held in Madison, WI on Sunday, June 16, 2002.
