Ann Dudley Edwards of Albuquerque passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2002. She was born in Danville, Virginia October 4,1925. She is survived by her husband, W. Sterling Edwards; their son, Bruce and his wife, Paula; and their children, Laura and Robert; their son, Peter and his wife, Ana and their children Will and Sandy; their daughter, Kitty and her husband, Carl Lineberger of Boulder, Colorado and their son, Wyman of Albuquerque and his stepchildren, Amadeo and Nina Gonzales. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Ann Dudley Edwards was very active in community affairs and an effective advocate of peaceful conflict resolution. She was involved in worldwide development through World Neighbors, Witness for Peace, and OXFAM International. She was a part of delegations to several Central American countries, working for peace and monitoring elections. She was very active in the Quaker Meeting of Albuquerque. She attained her Master's Degree at UNM and practiced counseling for women for ten years. She had many friends locally, nationally and around the world. Memorial Services will be held at the Unitarian Church located at 3701 Carlisle NE on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Enlace Comunitario, 310 Valverde SE, Albuquerque, 87108 or War Resisters League, 339 Lafayette Street, New York, NY, 10012-2782.

Leonard A. Garcia, 59, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2002. He was born on July 15, 1943 in Las Nutrias, NM. He is preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Garcia; and mother, Ofelia S. Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Mercy Aragon; sons, Greg Garcia and wife, Christina and Patrick Garcia and wife, Lisa; daughter, Bernadette Garcia and husband, Gary Trujillo; father, Juan D. Garcia; brothers, Ernest Maez and wife, Marty, Johnny Garcia, Gilbert Garcia and wife, Christine, Paul Garcia and wife, Jo, Donald Garcia and wife, Bonnie and Gerald Garcia and wife, Margaret; sisters, Emily Hedrick and husband, Jim, Margie Duran and husband, Orlando, Diana Garcia and husband, Gilbert and Cindy Archuleta and five grandchildren. Mr. Garcia will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday also at the church at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Gerald Garcia, Michael Garcia, Nathan Garcia, Gary Trujillo, Gary Daves, Jody Aragon and Richard Hernandez. Thelma Rose Holden, June 17, 1926 - October 1, 2002. Thelma was born in Kingston, PA to Asenith and Charles Wolfe. She had one sister, Clerta. She married Donald Holden, June 19, 1944 and they had six children, Richard, Don Jr., Shirley, Wallace, Darryl and Rafael Garcia; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Thelma moved to Albuquerque with her family in 1957 where she was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Brentwood Garden Apt. Clubhouse, 6302 Harper Pl. NE.

Karleta "Sue" Jackson, 64, a resident of Elephant Butte, NM, passed away after a brief illness on October 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lt. Col. William A. Jackson U.S.A.F (Ret) of Elephant Butte; two daughters, Holly Mitchell and husband, Ron of Placitas, NM and Kelly Burnett and husband, Dean of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Meagan Olson, Austin Burnett, Dean Burnett Jr., Aaron Burnett and Kristin Burnett; great granddaughter, Lydia Rene Burnett. She loved to cook and sew, was a talented artist and enjoyed traveling with Bill in their motor home. She was a pilot, an AHSA Steward and a skilled equestrian, hunting with the Juan Tomas Hounds Hunt Club for many years. Most recently she had become an impressive golfer, competing in numerous tournaments. By far, her greatest joy was her family, grandchildren and the many wonderful friends she made through the years. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks N. of Paseo Del Norte.) A reception will follow at the family home in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Community Health Foundation, P.O. Box 963 Truth or Consequences, NM 87901.

Kenneth R. Joule, beloved father, brother, uncle and friend to the world, died September 18, 2002. He was born March 29, 1939 in Dallas, TX and graduated from St. Mary's H.S. 1957; and received a B.S. Degree from Regis College, Denver, CO in 1961; a Masters Degree from California State, Los Angeles in 1967. Ken worked at many airports including the Bahamas, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Oman. He was a diplomat in Pakistan with the United Nations. He is survived by one brother, Tom and sister-in-law, Lauren; nephew, Torrey; and niece, Lindsey of Albuquerque; ex-wife, Carolyn (McIntyre) Joule; son, Corey; and daughter, Kristin; two loving nephews; a niece; and a great-nephew and niece. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; father, William Leroy; and his oldest son, Kevin.

William H. Keneipp, 61, of Carefree, AZ former resident of Albuquerque died Friday, October 4, 2002 at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Kerry; a daughter, Katie; his mother, Mary Keneipp; a brother, Richard Keneipp; and two sisters, Liz Ann Knox and Peggy Callis.
Memorial Services were held in Owensville, IN at the Owensville United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are requested to go to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.

John Herman Muller, born to Eloise Martinez and Herman Muller on may 28, 1931 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Regina; daughter, Lois Ann Dickie and husband, Robert of Los Lunas; son, Michael and wife, Nancy Muller of Albuquerque; grandson, Eric Kirmer and wife, Alex, Bryan Kirmer, Jacob and Luke Muller all of Albuquerque; sister, Dolores Henry of Fallon, NV; brother, Fred Muller and wife, Jessie; sister-in-law, Madonna Muller; numerous nieces and nephews. John served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 and was a SEABEE stationed in Guam. He graduated from UNM with a BS in Architectural Engineering. John retired after 30 years in the Federal Government BIA/HUD Indian Affairs. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; brother-in-law, Kenneth Henry and great grandmother, Alexis-Kirmer-Bell. John enjoyed carpentry, crossword puzzles and playing with his grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. French Mortuary - Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW.

Ernest C. Mullins, 72, a resident of Albuquerque for seven years, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jewell Mullins of Albuquerque; son, Darrel Mullins of Parkville, MO; daughters, Gaylene Berberick of GA, Cheryl Mullins of Albuquerque, Nancy Torneden and husband Jerry of Tijeras, NM, Janet Mullins, Janet Kramer, Brenda Sandoval and husband, Russell, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rick, Christopher, Nick, Tim, Andrea, J.R., Christa, Courtney, Matthew, Miranda, Jonathan, Justin, Catherine, and Lucas; brother, Paul Mullins of FL; and sisters, Geneva Friend of MO, and Marie DuBois of KS. Ernest was involved with the Bear Canyon and Palo Duro Senior Centers where he enjoyed line dancing and performed with the Rock n Rhythm dancers. He also loved traveling and playing the guitar. Ernest was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. J.W. "Jay" Nunn, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1932, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Scanlan and husband, Tim, and Wilma Ross and husband Gary, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Dirk and wife, Melani, Vanetta and husband, Chris, Christal and husband, Daniel, Autumn and husband, Mark, T.C., Brandy and husband, Shannon and Cyrus; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Joseph, Kaleigh, Tristin, Sabrina and Brittany; sisters, Betty Jo Hughes and husband, Bob of Silver City, Shirley Hanes and husband, Fred of Tijeras, Darlene Puttman and husband, Argene of Albuquerque, and Joann Marions and husband, Gary of Ruidoso; and brother, Kenneth D. Nunn and wife, Betty of Los Lunas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anas Doty Nunn; great-grandchildren, Angel Garcia and Jazzmin Johnston. J.W. was an avid Oakland Raider fan. He was part owner of several racehorses. J.W. loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was delighted in watching their sports activities. Juan Pedro "Pete" Rebeil, 39, died Sunday October 6, 2002 in a motorcycle accident in Lamy, NM. Pete was an engineer at Sandia Labs where he worked since 1988 spending the last few years as a robot systems programmer. He is survived by his mother, Margarita U. Rebeil; a brother, Roberto Rebeil; and three sisters, Julia Rebeil Lumsargis, Cristina M. Rebeil, and Patricia Rebeil. Pete loved God and the Catholic faith. He was very active at Immaculate Conception Church were he often served as a lector. Pete enjoyed studying different languages so he could better understand other cultures by reading and watching movies in the native language, His latest was Italian. Pete loved being outdoors, hunting and camping, but his favorite was going into a new area and driving on the back roads and logging trails with his 4-wheel drive truck while mapping them with his GPS unit. He was a great friend and all whose lives were touched by his will remember him always. May you go with all our prayers into God's arms and be at peace. There will be a viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2002 at Romero Chapel (Funeral Home) in Monte Vista, Colorado followed by a Rosary at Holy Name of Mary Church in Del Norte, Colorado. Adalia T. Sanchez was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Josefita Chavez. Final viewing will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd. N.E. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Rev. Jaime O. Quinones will be officiating. Saturnio Sanchez Sr., 95, was born October 31, 1906, and passed away at home Thursday, October 10, 2002. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, has been called home to be with our Lord, and wife, Paublita; two sons, Benito and Dimas Sanchez; daughter, Molly "Amalia" Carter; three grandchildren, Bernice Tapia, Ruben Giron, and Charles Carter; and most recently a great grandson, Dominick Edward Tapia. Saturnio is survived by two sons, Andres and Saturnio Jr.; son-in-law, Thomas Carter Sr.; four daughters, Teofila Armijo, Anita Tapia, Margie Armijo, and Lugie Sanchez; one brother, Miguel Sanchez; and one sister, Reyna Herrera; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Saturino was a member of the Labor Union # 16 for over 50 years. We have been so blessed to have had you in our lives for the many years as we did, but God has called you home to be with him. Your memory will always live in our hearts, we love you and will miss you dearly. You are in a better place, in the hands of our Lord. Lois S. Taylor, 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2002.

Gabriel "Gabe" Trujillo, 65, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 9, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry of Midland, TX; son, Kevin of Texas; brother, Louis Trujillo and wife, Helen of Albuquerque; sisters, Marie Sandoval of Albuquerque; Gabriel is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eusevia Trujillo; 1 brother, Ezekial Trujillo; 2 sisters, Rebecca Martinez & Lucy Peralta. Gabriel was a Navy veteran and member of the VFW Post #00401. Manuel L. Turrieta, May 21, 1910 to October 9, 2002, Mr. Turrieta resided in Dexter/Roswell 1944-2001, and Albuquerque 2001 - 2002. He is preceded in death by his wife, Manuelita Turrieta; sons, Milo Turrieta and Sylvester Sisneros; grandsons, Manuel and Esmiel Turrieta. Anita F Villanueva died Thursday at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Villanueva Jar; her son, Lawrence; and her son-in-law, Bob Russell. She is survived by four sons, Phillip and wife, Dolores, Bill and wife, Myrtel, Edward and wife, Anna and Vincent and wife, Benita; two daughters, Martha Russell and Susan Lebow and husband, John; two daughters-in-law, Lydia and Margaret Villanueva; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Betty C. Yoder, a 30-year resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Bill Yoder of Albuquerque; daughter, Rebecca Cuadra and husband, Dan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jessica and Nathan; sisters, Mary Sabo and Teresa Bender, both of Ohio. Mrs. Yoder was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Her presence among family and friends will be missed and her memories will live with us forever. Mass will be celebrated on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Friday, October 11, 2002, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Father William McCarren, Celebrant. PRISCILLA D. BIGGS, of Santa Fe, died Tuesday. She was born Feb. 1, 1924, in an Army hospital at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised on Army posts in various states and the Panama Canal Zone. She was a 1946 honor graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Following graduation, she worked in the publishing business in New York City until her lifelong struggle with asthma forced her to move to New Mexico for her health. In 1960, she earned a master's degree from the University of New Mexico after serving in the Government Department as a graduate assistant and as a teaching assistant another year. For 15 years, she was employed by the New Mexico state government, working at various times for the Legislative Finance Committee, the budget division of the Department of Finance and Administration and the old Health and Human Services Department, where for many years she was the head of a research and statistics unit. She was writing a genealogical history of her mother's family in her last years for her sister's descendants. Her final struggle with the respiratory disease and its side effects prevented her from completing the genealogical work to her great distress and disappointment. She was preceded in death by her parents, Major H.E. Biggs and Priscilla Sarver Biggs, and her only sibling, Mrs. Emma Jane Biggs Carter. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Lt. Col. D.V. Carter; nieces, Sheryl Barnard and Sharon Fritson; and many other relatives. At her request, no services have been scheduled, and cremation is under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service.

ROSENDO 'TIO' GONZALES SR., 92, of Sena, died Tuesday in Los Lunas following an extended illness. He was born in Sena on May 3, 1910, to Fernandez Gonzales and Demetria Gallegos Gonzales. He was married in Sena on May 25, 1928, to Filomena Medina. He retired in 1975 from the Brown Road Construction Company, where he was employed as a cement mason for 12 years and also worked for 30 years at the mines near Grants. He was also a farmer in Sena. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernandez and Demetria Gonzales; wife, Filomena Gonzales; daughters, Virginia Gonzales and Claudita Gonzales; grandsons, Timmy Ortiz and Jimmy Gonzales; great-grandson, Benedict B.J. Gonzales. He is survived by sons, Everette Gonzales and wife Odelia of Denver, Rosendo Gonzales Jr. and wife Maria, and Fernandez Gonzales and wife Tillie all of Sena, Ronald Gonzales of Albuquerque, and Lionel Gonzales and wife Gloria of Los Lunas; daughters, Theresa Gonzales, Mela Kramer and husbande Claude, Clara Gonzales and Martha Gonzales and husband Moises all of Albuquerque, Mary Alice Montano of Gilroy, Calif., Emily Garcia and husband Amadeo of Houston, Dorothy Ronquillo and husband Willie of Texico, and Sheryl Ortiz and Tommy of El Pueblo; 48 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Rosary devotional services will be at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at the Sena Cemetery. He will lie in state until 4:30 p.m. today at Rogers Chapel, where family and friends may call. Rogers Mortuary.

VICTOR ISSAI 'TOYITO' LOPEZ JR., 6 months, of Santa Fe, died Tuesday.
He is survived by his parents, Victor Lopez and Guadalupe Chacon Lopez; sisters, Yalithza and Victoria Lopez; grandparents, Gabriel and Julia Chacon, and Francisco Lopez and Soledad Herrera of Juarez, Mexico; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Rosario cemetery.
