A Funeral Service for Mr. Richard A. Grossetete, will be held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the 7th Day Adventist Church, 10750 Sunset Gardens SW (West Central to 114th St South to Sunsest Garden SW) with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Pastor Nehiamiah Basit, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors by the D.A.V. Chapter 13. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Flora Guerro, 40, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on February 23, 2001. Flora is survived by her husband of 17 years, Tony Cordova. She is also survived by her two daughters, Linda Neboyia and fiancé, Jerald Sandoval and Amanda Cordova; her parents, Thomas and Pauline Guerro; grandmother, Elsie Werito; two brothers, Jim Guerro and wife, Carol and Juan Guerro; six sisters, Marian Nez and husband, Leonard, Sara Platero and husband, Reynolds, Nora Guerro, Lorena Nez and husband, Johnathan, Jeannie Guerro and Gloria Fenton and husband, Doug; two grandchildren, Melachi and Jordan Sandoval; 16 nieces, nephews and many cousins and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at the Metropolitan Temple Church, 2nd and Mountain with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Pastor Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers will be, Elbridge Yazzie, Aldridge Yazzie, Noah Werito, Calbert Werito, Johnathan Nez and Rocque Cordova. Honorary will be, Leonard Cordova and Johnavin Nez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Max H. Harger, beloved husband, father and Grampa, won his battle with cancer and was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ricki and daughter, Cara of the family home in Los Lunas; daughter, Darla and husband, Jeff and his "little guys" Brandon and Justin of Albuquerque; his mother, Mary Lou; brothers, Rick, Roby, Wendell, Bob and Dalmar; sisters, Susie, Claudette, Edwina, Jimmie, and Dean, and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, brother Ronnie, and nephew Duane. He was surrounded by his loving family who will miss him greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 La Ladera off of North El Cerro Loop with Pastor Jimmy Duncan officiating. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to express their gratitude for loving care provided by Presbyterian Hospice. Direct Services is in charge of arrangements.

Cyndie Gutierrez-Limvere. A Memorial Service for Cyndie will be held at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church, on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. St. Joseph's is located at 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW, west of Coors Blvd. A reception will follow in the Fine Arts lobby of St. Pius. Juan A. Lucero, 63, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2001. He was born June 13, 1937 in Montezuma, NM to parents, Genovevo Lovato and Estella Sandoval. Mr. Lucero is survived by his twin sons, Antonio Lucero and wife, Maryann of Las Vegas, NM, Peter Lucero and wife, Judy of Rio Rancho; daughter, Diana Vasquez and husband, Fernando of Albuquerque; mother, Estella Lovato of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren, Troy, Nathan, Sissy, Patrick, Aaron, Steven, Andrew, Angelique and Celine; six brothers, Napo Lovato and wife, Lydia, Richard Lovato and wife, Nadine of Las Vegas, NV, Peter Lovato and wife, Geraldine of Albuquerque, Leo Lovato and wife, Marcie of Rio Rancho, Lalo Lovato and wife, Linda, Carlos and girlfriend, Geri of Las Vegas, NM; six sisters, Helen Espinoza and husband, Louie, Nancy Trujillo and husband, David, Lucy Vigil and husband, Henry, Rosie Garduno and husband, Michael of Albuquerque, Irene and husband, Nacho of Las Vegas, NV and Linda of Las Vegas, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Inge Lucero on December 26, 2000, father, Genovevo Lovato, and sister, Dora Flores. Mr. Lucero was a member of Santuario de San Martin Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Santuario de San Martin Church, 8321 Camino de San Martin SW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Espinoza, Michael Lovato, Ronny Lovato, Anthony Lovato, Johnathan Lovato and Michael A. Lovato. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 6:30 p.m. until Rosary.

Lawrence McCullough, 59, died February 21, 2001 after a brief illness. He is survived by Kandy Delaway; sons, Sean of Albuquerque, Mark of Oregon; daughter, Tammi of Colorado; and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to World Wild Life, Nature Conservancy or any other such program. The family is honoring the wishes of Mr. McCullough and no Services will be held. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.

Cindy Sue Mercer. Born June 16, 1958 died February 26, 2001. Cindy is survived by her son, Tracy Mercer; and daughter, Shannon Mercer, both of Albuquerque; brother, Clay L. Wormington, Albuquerque; sister, Judy K. Armstrong. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Mercer and parents, Leroy and Sharon Wormington. Services will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE. 265-5959 Friday, March 2, 2001 3:00 p.m.

Ernest Mora Jr., 48, went home to the Lord on February 26, 2001. Ernest was born in Albuquerque on July 27, 1952. He is survived by his Parents, Ernesto Mora and Isabel Vallez; three sons, Christopher Mora, Patrick Mora and Dominic Mora; four brothers, Gilbert Cardenas and wife, Rose, Phillip Anthony Mora and wife, Marlene, Rudy Allen Mora and E. Mora; three sisters, Darlene Alderette, Diane Mora and Judy Jiron and husband, Michael; and three grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th and Iron. A Rosary will be recited also on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. also in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Final Viewing will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. April Dawn Morrow, age 53, died on February 28, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene May, two sisters, Penny and Ruby Gene, and longtime friend, James Warnick. She is survived by her mother, Ruby "Mamaw" May of Albuquerque; two children, Mica Sleater and husband, Garth and Rick Morrow, all of Albuquerque; best friend, Mary Lynn Zellner of Albuquerque; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2001 in Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating. Jack Byron Nash II, 19, a resident of Albuquerque for four-and-half years, died Tuesday, February 27, 2001. He is survived by his father, Kirk Nash of Albuquerque; grandmother, Virginia A. Nash of Albuquerque; grandparents, Aleta and John McTigue of Renton, WA; aunt and uncle, Carrie and Phil Scott of Albuquerque; aunt, Christine Reid of Renton, WA; and cousins, Mark and Kelli Scott of Albuquerque. Mary Margaret Noble, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, February 26, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Max C. Noble of Albuquerque; daughters, Jenice Longfield and husband, Robert of San Antonio, TX, Elaine Lyons and husband, Michael of Alexandria, VA, and Lorraine Dee Noble of Las Vegas, NM; son, Armin Noble of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Ridgecrest Christian Church. Mary loved to quilt for her family. Alice Parras, 57, a resident of Albuquerque died, Wednesday, February 28, 2001. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Lucero. She is survived by her husband, Louis Parras of the family home; brother, Ray Lucero and Lupe, step-sister, Lucy Martinez, children, Theresa Gonzales and fiancé, Robert Montano, Lawrence Parras and wife, Gloria, Jimmy and Johnny Parras; step-daughter, Julie Espinoza and husband, Ernest; grandchildren, Patricia and husband, Freddie, Nadine and husband, Dominic, Aaron, Valerie and Michael; great-grandchildren, Dilia, Freddie Jr., Rikki, Brianna and Jordan, and step-grandchildren Brenda, Maryanne, and Jimmy. Mass will be celebrated, Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Alice touched many lives and was loved by all. Mr. Jude E. Salazar died Thursday in Albuquerque at the age of 43. Mr. Salazar was the President of Shiloh Aviation in Belen, NM. He is survived by his mother, Helen Salazar of Albuquerque; wife, Kelley Salazar; and daughters, Lauren Sherre Salazar and Andrea Faith Salazar, all of the family home. Jude is also survived by his brothers, Larry M. Salazar and wife, Corinna of Tome, NM, and Joseph L. Salazar of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Peggy A. Mitchell of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Robbin Tibbetts of Washington; brother-in-law, Michael J. Mitchell and wife, Terri of Utah; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Jude will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangel Christian Center, at Montgomery and Jefferson, with Pastor Ray Franks officiating. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation for Jude will be held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar &Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edwina C. Sanchez will be held on Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.

Seymour Schuster formerly of Rio Rancho. 1920-February 19, 2001. An avid fisherman and father of three sons, Barry, Harvey and Steven is survived by his wife, Norma a resident of Pembroke Pines, FL.

Catherine Walker Strong. A very loving life was taken on Ash Wednesday. Her husband of 40 years, Samuel E. Strong, her infant son, Richard, and her daughter, Carol Ann Strong, January 25, 1997, preceded Catherine in death. She was survived by her daughter, Susan Neuschwanger and husband, Ron; her son, Robert; her sister, Betty and husband, John McMullen; her brothers, Bill and wife, Patt Walker, her brother, Chuck and wife, Doris (deceased) Walker; her grandchildren, Julie and Bianca Strong, Ryan and wife, Kelly Neuschwanger and Melisa Arellano and 12 nieces and nephews. She also treasured her three great-grandchildren, Chance, Miranda and Jessire. Catherine was born on June 8, 1915 in La Junta, Colorado. Her family moved to Albuquerque when she was in high school. Catherine graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in 1932. She also graduated from Albuquerque Business College. Sam and Katie met when they both worked for Continental Oil Co. They were married on July 1, 1938 in Socorro, New Mexico. A Rosary will be conducted Friday, March 2, 2001 at Fitzgerald's Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. Catherine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Catherine was active at Our Lady of Fatima Church. She loved her bridge club and her garden. Contributions in her honor can be made to Sandia Hospice, 4725 Indian School Rd., Suite 100, 87110.

Margaret M. Toon, age 95, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away in her sleep Tuesday, February 27, 2001. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Chapel, Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Pastor Michael Dominguez will officiate. Pallbearers are Ernest A. Chavez, Joseph S. Chavez, Dennis F. Chavez, James L. Culbertson, Albert B. Wenzelburger, Mario J. Gonzales, Joseph J. Chiado and Fidel Chavez. Interment is immediately following at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. Margaret's family greatly appreciates the love and care given to her in her final years by Flora Alarid and family. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of her arrangements.

Paul Daniel Zimmer, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 23, 2001. He was born November 4, 1908 in Philadelphia, PA to Paul W. and Anna Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer attended college at Syracuse University in New York, graduating with a degree in Forestry. He worked the majority of years with the Federal Fish & Wildlife Service in Portland, OR, Research & Development of the Salmon Industry. Mr. Zimmer was active in community affairs in the town of Clackamas, OR, serving on Water, Fire and School Boards. He also served in an advisory capacity to the Clackamas County Commission. Upon retirement, Mr. Zimmer and his wife, Muriel traveled. The last seven years, the couple resided in Albuquerque. Mr. Zimmer is survived by his wife, Muriel; daughters, Linda Barbour of Albuquerque and Elaine Miner of Hillsboro, OR; five grandsons and their wives; and eight great-grandchildren. "Home is the Hunter, Home from the Hill and the Sailor Home from the Sea." Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2001 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the family home in Albuquerque. Interment of cremains will take place in the family plot at Clarence, NY. ALFRED EUGENE 'GENE' BRUINGTON, 87, of Albuquerque and formerly of Santa Fe, died Saturday in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 27, 1913, to George H. and Rowena Bruington in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was raised near Santa Fe and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1932. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and the Korean War rising to the rank of major in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the Zia Co. in Los Alamos from 1953 to 1979. He was a member of the Christ Congregation in Los Alamos and Santa Fe. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Following his retirement, he moved with his wife to Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Helen Majorie (Terry) Bruington; parents; brothers James, Robert and Grafton Bruington; sister, Rowena Sherwood; and one infant brother and infant sister. He is survived by his children Stephanie Segura and husband Floyd of White Rock, Fay Beals and husband Bard of Albuquerque, and Terry E. Bruington and wife Dwayla of Gilbert, Calif.; six grandchildren; and brothers George Bruington of Albuquerque, John Bruington and wife Flo of Albuquerque, and Charles Bruington and wife Dorothy of Kingman, Ariz. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Albuquerque Children's Home. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. ROSABEL 'ROSE' C. HERRERA, 84, of Questa died Monday. She was preceded in death by her husband Lafayette 'Libby' Herrera; and sister, Esther Martinez. She is survived by her children Ramona Montaño of Taos, Ben Herrera and wife Virginia of Questa, Ruth Herrera-Martinez of Albuquerque, Amos Herrera and wife Pauline of Questa, and Deborah Herrera-Smith of Taos; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home, Taos.

FELONIS MARIA MONDRAGON, 81, of Llano Quemado died Wednesday. She was preceded in death by her sons Bonifacio and Daniel Mondragon. She is survived by her husband, Max V. Mondragon; children Charlie Mondragon, Maxine Baca and husband Martin, Barbara Mondragon, and Roberta Romero and husband Daniel; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters Fred Mondragon, Faby Sanchez, Helen Martinez and husband Jake, Tom Mondragon, Leo Mondragon and wife Claudina, and Joe F. Mondragon. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church. Gabino A. Andrade Jr., 45, went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2002. Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2002 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will take place on Monday, March 4, 2002 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 am. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Ricky Leroy Barboa, age 24, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died on February 28, 2002. He is survived by his parents, Leroy and Theresa Barboa of Albuquerque; his grandparents, Andy and Viola Baca of Albuquerque; a sister, Jezelle Garcia and husband, Eric of Albuquerque; a brother, Randy Barboa and wife, Traci of Albuquerque; two nieces, Jazmine Garcia and Syoni Barboa; and a nephew, Eric "Gator" Garcia, Jr. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ricky loved outdoor activities, traveling, and workouts. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Road NW, followed by a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church with Fr. Jerry L. Behrend, 54, loving husband, father, son and friend, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Behrend, sons, Jeffrey Behrend and James Behrend, all of Los Lunas; mother, Mae Behrend; sister, Roberta Behrend, both of Albuquerque; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Behrend in 1984. Jerry was an eight year Viet Nam Veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved to build hot rods and was an artist who created many things for family and friends. Services will be held Saturday, 12:00 noon at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Cremation will follow services. Mary Margaret "Patty" Davis, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Wednesday, February 27, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Bob Davis of Albuquerque; son, Ricky Davis and wife, Carrie of Albuquerque; daughter, Becky Shaver and husband, Mike of Las Cruces; sons, Randy Davis and Robby Davis, both of Albuquerque; sister, Maxie Presley of Tucson and June Popovich of Taylorville, IL; brothers, George O'Bryan of Arcadia, CA; David "Dub" O'Bryan of Lintton, IN and Joe O'Bryan of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Roman, Russell, Roger, Riley, Ricki, Michelle, Erica, Kenny, and Konner. Mrs. Davis had a passion for art and missionary work and was a member of BSF Leadership, Women's Ministries of Calvary Chapel, Past President of PTA of Barnum Elementary School in Denver, CO, and worked with Presbyterian Volunteer Services. Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, with Pastor Skip Heitzig officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
