Mrs. Loretta L. Floyd of Albuquerque passed away Monday, February 26, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Floyd; one son, Anthony both from Albuquerque; mother, Gloria Montaņo; step-father, Jerry; sister, Yolanda Montaņo all from Mountainair, NM; sister, Beverly Montaņo from Arizona; two brothers, Andrew Montaņo from North Carolina and Ron Montaņo; sister-in-law, Cynthia Montaņo; two nephews, Marcos and Mateo of California. Loretta was loved by all and she will be truly missed. There will be a Memorial Service held for her at the Church of the Living God, 382 58th St., the Corner of Bluewater at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002.

Anne M. Grosek, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 28, 2002. She is survived by her sister, Mae Campagna; niece, Jean Byrne, both of Albuquerque; nephew, James Campagna and wife, Kay of Atlanta, GA; and many other nieces and nephews. Anne was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Parish. She was a lovely lady and will be dearly missed. Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 4, 2002, at 1:00 p.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE, with Father Leo Padget, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, one hour prior to the Mass. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Candido Jaramillo, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, died on February 27, 2002. He is survived by his five children, Lucy Jaramillo, Joe Jaramillo, Rose Baca, Anita Jaramillo and Gabriel Jaramillo; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister; and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his son, Nester J. Jaramillo and two brothers. He was a loving father and grandfather. Catherine Juanita King, age 96, born in Alexandria, VA, passed away on February 28, 2002. She is survived by her only child, Helyn King Calvert-Trembly; three grandchildren, Lambert W. and wife, Jamie T., Richard W. and wife, Wende R. and Catherine C. Calvert; eight great-grandchildren, Walter Beau, Richard Lyles, Brittany Leigh, Dakota James Calvert of San Jose, CA, Austin Lee Poper, Connor Jett Calvert and twins, Kate Alexandra and Karsen Nicole Calvert of Albuquerque. She is survived by one niece, Virginia Marlow and many loved great-nieces and nephews of Virginia and Maryland. Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum next to her beloved husband, Lambert Lyles King. The service will be private for immediate family members. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE will be handling arrangements.

Warren S. Lavezo, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 8 years, died Thursday, February 28, 2002. Dr. Lavezo was born in San Francisco, CA and served in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps. He was retired from dentistry, having been in private practice for 47 years in El Centro, CA. Dr. Lavezo is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Lavezo of Albuquerque; son, Stephen Lavezo and wife, Lynn of Denton, TX and grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan; daughter, Christiane LoCascio of Carlsbad, CA and grandson, Joey; son, Laurence Lavezo and wife, Luz of Albuquerque and granddaughters, Laura Ann and Leah; sister, Lucille Asaro and husband, Frank of El Cerrito, CA; three nieces, a nephew, and numerous cousins. Memorial rosary will be held Sunday, March 3, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Norma Najjar-Leach, 44, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 26, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. She was born on February 2, 1958 in Santa Fe, NM. She is survived by her husband, Terry, her parents, Albert and Correen of Santa Fe; her brother, Dan and his wife, Gina and children of Santa Fe; and her brother, Victor and his wife, Karen and children of Seattle, WA. Norma was a graduate of Santa Fe High and the University of New Mexico where she earned her degree in Pharmacology. She worked in the St. Joseph's Hospital pharmacy for over 20 years. She enjoyed patient education and oncology teaching for nurses. She had been active in the big sisters program. She travelled throughout Europe and never let any illness stop her from doing what she wanted. All of her family and her many friends will miss her. A Memorial Mass will be held on March 4, 2002 at the St. Joseph's Hospital Main Campus, Queen of Peace Chapel at 11:00 a.m. in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or the NM Animal Humane Association. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mrs. Leach. 891-8200.

Barbara Ann Parker, 56, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on February 27, 2002. She is survived by her loving husband, John B. Parker of the family home; a daughter, Michelle Burros and husband, Chris and grandson, Brian Burros of Tucson; a son, Michael Kemm of Phoenix; two sisters, Virginia Hill and husband, David of Bluewater, and Patricia Hamilton; two brothers, Richard Dayhoff and wife, Lynne, and Harvey Dayhoff. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. A graduate of Sandia High School, Barbara was an associate at JC Penney CCSC. Barbara will be remembered as a kind and loving person, a great mom, and a wonderful Grammy. Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 4, 2002, at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks North of Paseo Del Norte).

William (Bill) Farris Pittard, resident of Albuquerque since 1955, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Lee (Bobbye) Bray Pittard; daughter, Billye N. Coey and husband, Joe of Albuquerque, and son, Q. Lee Pittard and wife, Susan of Pecos. His grandchildren, are Amye Bronson-Doherty and husband, Patrick of Seattle, Hollye Bronson of Albuquerque, Shawn Coey and wife, Jaime of Denver, CO; Jennifer Coey of Albuquerque; Brian Coey and wife, Jamie of Albuquerque, Kate Pittard of San Francisco, CA, Cody Pittard and wife, Erin of Saugus, CA, Chansce and Alice Quinn Pittard of Pecos. He was blessed with 11 great grandchildren. He was born November 26, 1918, in Des Moines, New Mexico. He was the fifth child of R.S. (Sam) and Lola Farris Pittard. He is survived by his sisters Gertrude Morey of Pueblo, CO, and Elizabeth Murray of Edmond, OK; and his brother Robert Samuel Pittard Jr. of Amarillo, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Pittard; and sister, Ruby Dean Hollingsworth. After graduating from Des Moines High School, he completed a degree in Animal Husbandry at New Mexico State University. During World War II, he joined the U.S. Army where he held the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He and Bobbye were married on March 23, 1943, in Clayton, NM, a few months before he went to England. After the War he worked as a County Agent for Colfax County. Later he bought a farm/ranch in Arkansas, and after moving to Oklahoma he went into the insurance business. He has worked in the insurance industry in Albuquerque since 1955. He was a Certified Life Underwriter and went on to earn numerous quality and production awards during his lengthy insurance career. He was a member of Kiwanis, Friendship Force, and sang in The Enchanters, an adult choral group. He was very active in the Church of Christ from his youth until his passing. Viewing will be Monday, March 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Services will be held at the Northeast Church of Christ, 11000 Paseo Del Norte NE, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2002. Lee R. Richards, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, February 25, 2002 of natural causes at St. Joseph's Hospice after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fay Richards of Albuquerque; two sons, Michael Richards and wife, Margaret Tiffin and Bart Richards and wife, Shannon of Sinking Springs, PA; and two daughters, Joan Langholf and husband, Dever of Albuquerque and Jean Burnham and husband, Kim of Stillwater, OK. Mr. Richards was preceded in death by a son, Bruce; and a daughter, Marian Albright. He was born in Ogden, UT and was the son of Harry D. and Inez S. Richards. Lee was employed as a highway engineer by the New Mexico State Highway Department for over 35 years, retiring in 1978. He worked his way up from surveyor to District Engineer in Albuquerque. During his tenure, Lee helped supervise construction of the original 'Big I' interchange in Albuquerque. After retirement, Lee and his wife Fay spent much time serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and pursuing genealogy research. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Dorothy Lucille Timlin, age 81, an Albuquerque resident since 1964 died February 24, 2002. Dorothy is survived by husband, Francis Timlin Sr. of Albuquerque, NM; son, Francis Timlin Jr. of Seattle, WA; brother, Junior Eddings of Virginia, Ill. Dorothy was born at Chandlerville, Illinois, May 22, 1920 to William Clinton Eddings and Maude Daniels Eddings. Her parents and a sister, Eula Mae Eddings, precede her in death. Dorothy attended Kirtland AFB Chapel. A visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., with a Rosary following at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2002 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am March 5, 2002 at the Church of the Risen Savior 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Elmer E. Wilmarth, age 87, and a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years died Friday March 1, 2002. Mr. Wilmarth is survived by his wife, Nedra Wilmarth of Albuquerque; two sons, James Wilmarth and his wife, Claudette of NM, and William Wilmarth and his wife, Mary of UT; twin sister, Edith E. Hampton of CO; one brother, Lester N. Wilmarth, of AZ. Elmer was preceded in death by one brother, Bob S. Wilmarth. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2002, Riverside Church of Christ 3100 La Orilla Rd. NW. Eleanor Zur, 70, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, born on August 18, 1931 in Jersey City, a resident of Rio Rancho and formerly of Brick, New Jersey, died on February 27, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Zur of Rio Rancho; two grandsons, John and Ed Zur also of Rio Rancho; two sisters, Florence Pichnarczyk of Flemington, NJ and Carol Sebula of Florham Park, NJ; one brother, Henry Sebula and wife, Rosemary of Joppa, MD. Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE. CARMEN GONZALES of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long illness. She is survived by four daughters, Rosemarie Velasquez of California, Sandra, Priscilla and Leah Gonzales of Santa Fe; three sons, Joe, Thomas and Martin Gonzales of Santa Fe; two sisters, Lucille Preciado of California and Mary Ulibarri of Santa Fe; brother, Don Muniz of California; husband, Alediado Gonzales; sister-in-law, Shiela Leyba of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at McGee Memorial Chapel, Mass will celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will be in Tucumcari.

FRANCES O. MARTINEZ, 93, of Santa Fe died Friday. Funeral arrangements are pending with McGee Memorial Chapel Mortuary, 983-9151.

Edward J. Apodaca, Attorney at Law, born in Albuquerque on 3-3-21, passed away on 5-7-99. He is survived by his son, Ted Apodaca of Santa Fe. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17, at Risen Savior Church, 7701 Wyoming NE, in Albuquerque. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. He will be missed by family and friends.

Edward J. Apodaca, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, May 8, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Apodaca; son, Ted Apodaca, both of Santa Fe; and brother, Max Apodaca of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Apodaca. Mr. Apodaca was a veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater. While was in the military, he was a J.A.G. member. Mr. Apodaca was a graduate of Georgetown Law School. He was active in Republican Party Politics, being a candidate for Attorney General. Mr. Apodaca served as Chairman of the New Mexico State Police Commission during the Cargo Administration. He also served as a member of the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission. Mr. Apodaca was a member of the New Mexico Bar and had been a trial attorney in Albuquerque since 1950. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 11:30 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Paul Baca, Celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association-NM Affiliate, 6301 Forest Hills NE 87110. Henry (Hank) A. Chinisci, 76, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on May 13, 1999 after a courageous battle with cancer. Hank was born March 16, 1923 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Sam and Josephine (Cascio) Chinisci. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and attended St. Michael's High School. He served in Italy as part of the 5th Army during WWII. After the war he moved to Albuquerque and started the Chinisci School of Music while attending St. Joseph's College. Hank enriched the lives of many Albuquerque area children by teaching them to play music. He was a member of the local musician's union and the New Mexico Music Teacher's Association. Hank also played music professionally with many local groups, including the Four Keys in which he and his three sons played for many weddings, parties and official functions. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Josephine. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 15 years; his sister, Patricia and her husband, Stan and their family; sons, Robert and his wife, Michelle of Denver, Richard and his wife, Georgia and granddaughters, Gia and Dana of Denver, and Frank and his wife, Gigi and grandchildren, David, Ben and Susie of Albuquerque. Hank will best be remembered as a good friend, a loving father and grandfather. A chapel service for Hank will be held on Monday, May 17, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with The Rev. R. Dulaney Barrett. A private interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kiwanis Club Charitable Foundation, Kamp Kiwanis, 7716 Northridge Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Mr. Anthony Dimas died Friday in Albuquerque at the age of 56. Mr. Dimas was born in Denver, CO on August 25, 1942 and moved to Albuquerque at a young age. Mr. Dimas worked as a tile setter for many years. Mr. Dimas was preceded in death by his father, Tony Dimas Sr. Mr. Dimas is survived by his wife; and children, Viola Vallejos (George), Dolores Dimas, David Dimas and wife, Anna, Robert Dimas and wife, Doris, Robert Archibeque, Emma Causaus and husband, Fabian, Simon Sandoval, and Beverly Sandoval; very special friend, Josephine Sandoval; mother, Louisa Dimas; six brothers and sisters, Jerry, Donald and wife Rhonda, Paul and wife, Marie, Steve and wife, Gloria, Debbie Alobaidi and husband, Sam, and Yvonne Barela and husband, Leroy; grandchildren, Fernando Vallejos and wife, Genifer, Vanessa Vallejos, Crystal Archibeque, R.J. Archibeque, Jonathan Archibeque, Jaime Dimas and wife, Elizabeth, Dominic Dimas, Denise Dimas, Robert J. Dimas, Desirae Dimas, Cruzita Sandoval, Monique Causaus and Fabian Causaus; great-grandchildren, Francisco Vallejos and Isabel Dimas; and numerous aunts,uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Dimas will be held on Monday at the St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Fernando Vallejos, Edward Chavez, Leonard Barela, Robert Archibeque, Anthony Dimas, Ignacio Sanchez and Richard Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be R.J. Archibeque, Jonathan Archibeque, Robert J. Dimas Jr., Jaime Dimas, Dominic Dimas, Fabian Causaus, Adan Rivera and Chris Romero. Burial will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Dimas will be held on Sunday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.

Arthur Anderson Eberhardt, 56, a Florissant, Colorado resident, died April 27,1999 at an Alma, Nebraska hospital. He was a pipe organ technician. Mr. Eberhardt was born January 31, 1943 in Albuquerque. He was married June 20, 1976 to Miriam Enge. He is survived by his wife; and his mother, Anna May (Anderson) Eberhardt. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 3:30 p.m.; at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold SE, in Albuquerque. Memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4444 Moonbeam Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80916.

Rosina Elaine Flores
March 23, 1931 - May 14, 1999
A resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 14, 1999 after a courageous battle of an on going illness. She is survived by her mother, Theresa P. Sierra and children, Robert Newton and wife, Jeannie, Tracy Daly and husband, Kevin, Susan, Mark and Robin Flores; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence, Tato, Pete; and sisters, Eva and Terry; and several nieces and nephews. In honor of Rosina her grandson, Christopher Hicks would like to dedicate these few words on how we felt towards our beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Nonny, there is no way to verbally express the way in which you have touched our lives. You are and always will be part of us. We will always remember you and every precious moment we have spent with you. Although your journey is over, your legacy shall forever remain in the hearts of all you have touched. We love you and shall forever miss you. Funeral services will be celebrated at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho at 1:00 p.m. on May 15, 1999.

Agnes O. Garcia, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank A. Garcia of Albuquerque; step-son, Dan Garcia and wife, Rhonda of Farmington; six grandchildren; sister, Frances Padilla and husband, Benny of Albuquerque; brothers, Manuel Olguin of San Antonio, NM and Ernest Olguin and wife, Mary of Burbank, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garcia was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father Joseph Thai, S.S.S., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Mr. Frank E. Gurule died Monday in Albuquerque at the age of 41.
Funeral services for Mr. Gurule will be held on Saturday at the Albuquerque Christian Center where the service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.

Forrest Edward Mortimer, 86, a former resident of Denver, CO and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 1999 in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE, with Chaplain Fabian Gagnon officiating.
Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mr. Mortimer's family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cardiac ICU at Lovelace Hospital.

Jennie Torres Skinner, a former resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, May 11 in a nursing home in Lakewood, Colorado after a long illness. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Skinner; her parents, Ambrosio Torres and Altagracia Baca-Torres of Socorro; a brother, Joseph C. Torres; and three sisters, Josephine T. Garcia, Isabelle T. Chavez and Rose T. Vigil. Mrs. Skinner is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Bill and Louise S. Miles, Ray and Betty S. Dow; and one son, Edwin L. Skinner, all residing in the Colorado area. Mrs. Skinner was additionally blessed with a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom live predominately in the Colorado region. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 15, 10:00 a.m., at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Deacon Gene Tuma will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ray Dow Sr., Ray Dow Jr., W. Jerry Brown, Steve Vigil and David Vigil. Living an industrious, but modest life, Jennie Skinner will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
