Gustavo "Gus" C. Ceniceros

Gustavo "Gus" C. Ceniceros, 67, of Mesquite, entered eternal life Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Gus, as he was fondly known to family and friends, was born July 27, 1948, in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose Guadalupe and Francisca Carrillo Ceniceros.

He was employed by New Mexico State University as a grounds keeper and retired after 33 years of service.

Gus was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include two sons, Gustavo Ceniceros Jr. and Fernando Ceniceros and wife, Perla; two daughters, Brigitte Herrera and husband, Freddy, and Yvette Ceniceros, all of Las Cruces;
three brothers, Ernesto Ceniceros and wife, Mayo, of Del Cerro, Carlos Ceniceros and Ricardo Ceniceros and wife, Roberta;
one sister, Alma Ceniceros, all of Mesquite.

Other survivors include nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gus was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Enrique Ceniceros.

Visitation for Mr. Ceniceros will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, in Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Holy Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, in San Miguel Catholic Church, 19217 S. Highway 28 in San Miguel, with the Rev. Rogelio Martinez, celebrant.

The rite of committal and interment will follow in the San Miguel Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Adrian, Tico and Lalo Ceniceros, Henry Gonzalez, Edgar Chavez, Oscar Escapita, Juan Retena and Ray Martinez
