Jan. 29, 1936 - March 18, 2007

Genaro F. Salazar, a resident of Farmington since 1974, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Lumberton, to Alberto Salazar and Emma (Talamante) Salazar.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Farmington, with Father Tim Farrell as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, in Farmington.

Genaro is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home & Crematory, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, (505) 325-8688.

Kailie Sitta

July 29, 1991 - March 18, 2007

Our beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Kailie Sitta, 15, of Farmington, was tragically taken from us on Sunday, March 18, 2007. She was born July 29, 1991, to Donald Sitta and Jene Seaton.

Kailie was a beautiful young lady that had such a light and passion for life. She was always smiling and fighting for a place to stand in this world. She made every breath count and every smile was a victory. She loved hanging out with her friends, hanging out in her room and talking on the phone.

Kailie is survived by her mother, Jene Seaton; her father, Donald Sitta and wife Junadel; brothers, Joseph and wife, Jamie, Jordan and wife, Janel, and Eric Sitta; grandparents, Evert and Lily Seaton; great-grandparents, Mary and G.O. Donald; Aunt Danna, Uncle John, and cousins Shannon, Elaina and Janece; Uncle Dale Seaton, Aunt Linda, and cousins Scott and Kellan; and other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Kailie will be missed by many, many friends.

Some of her closest friends were Aileen Monclova, Alyssa Jaramillo, Tzairet Viveros, Amanda Apodaca, and Olivia and Chrystal Morales.

Kailie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dr. Raymond Earl Sitta; grandmother, Jane Seaton; and aunt, Judy Kennedy.

Kailie's viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin in Farmington.

Kailie's memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, at First United Methodist Church in Farmington.

Daisy Ellen Parrack Cole

Dec. 17, 1914 — Nov. 30, 2007

Daisy Ellen Parrack Cole, 92, died at home on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport, La., with a memorial service immediately following.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.

Daisy was born near Guthrie, Okla., on Dec. 17, 1914. She married John H. Cole on July 11, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

They made their home in Oklahoma for 27 years, followed by 39 years in Farmington.

For the last 8 years, they lived in Shreveport. Daisy was an excellent homemaker and a devoted and caring mother of four children. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, an ardent student of the Bible, an accomplished china painter and a swimmer.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Edgar and Maggie Callahan Parrack; and two brothers, Harley and Ellsworth Parrack. She is survived by her four children, Gene T. Cole and wife, Georgia, of Lafayette, La., Kay Huggins and husband, Donald, of Owasso, Okla., Nancy Travillion and husband, Carl, of Wichita, Kan., and Frances Anderson and husband, Hank, of Shreveport; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one nephew and two nieces.

Daisy was special and loved by all.

Elmer Raymond Schwab

July 24, 1929 - Nov. 24, 2007

Elmer Raymond Schwab, 78, of Farmington, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, in Farmington.

He was born July 24, 1929, in Grover, Colo., to John and Lena Moses Schwab.

Fermin Raye Tsosie

Nov. 16, 1972 - Nov. 22, 2007

Fermin Raye Tsosie, 35, of Shiprock, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, in Shiprock.

Fermin was born Nov. 16, 1972, in Shiprock.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Immanuel Mission Chapel in Sweetwater, Ariz.

Interment will follow at the community cemetery in Sweetwater.

Ruthie Sammons

Ruthie Sammons, 73, of Kirtland, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007.

Ruthie was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Aneth, Utah, to Harry Lee and Mary Ann Lee.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel, with Pastor Irene Nez officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Russell Lynn Hedgecock

Oct. 5, 1962 ­ Nov. 21, 2007

Russell Lynn Hedgecock, 45, of Farmington, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in Farmington. He was born Oct. 5, 1962, in San Diego, Calif., to Charles and Patricia Terry Hedgecock.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at First Baptist Church in San Jon, with the Rev. Amy Jordan officiating.

Burial will follow at the San Jon cemetery.

Alphonso W. Wasylenski

Sept. 14, 1914 - Oct. 8, 2007

Alphonso W. Wasylenski, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 8, 2007, at the Bloomfield Nursing/Rehab Center.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., his travels took him to California, Texas, and Tennessee, before the Lord led him to Farmington.

Alphonso was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Wasylenski; sisters, Genevie Wasylenski, Helen Barnash, Stella Galish and Frieda DiPietro.

He is survived by his sister Loretta Komar, of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alphonso will be in interred at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y., with his family.

Amy Marie Samson

Dec. 7, 1977 - Oct. 3, 2007

Our beloved daughter, Amy Marie Samson, passed from this life on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007.

Amy graduated from Farmington High School in 1996. Her joys included writing poetry, dancing, and rock climbing. Amy had a gentle spirit and loved animals and doing community volunteer work.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kayden, four years ago.

Amy is survived by her mother and father, Fred and Sandy Samson; her older sister, Sheri Lynn Winfield-Dijks, and younger brother, Brian Samson; her grandmother, Emma Samson; and many, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., today, Thursday, Oct. 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1221 E. 20th St. in Farmington, with the Rev. Robert Neubauer officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Pallbearers are Brian Samson, Bruce Samson, Art Womack, Steven Lavery, Matt Lavery, Rick Greenaker, Jeremiah Lavery and Dan Northway.

Floyd Marshall Wright

Nov. 3, 1925 - Oct. 8, 2007

Floyd Marshall Wright, 81, of Aztec, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at home in Aztec. He was born Nov. 3, 1925, to Bernard L. and Martha Cordellia (Luke) Wright, in Charleston, W.Va. He attended school in Charleston, then enlisted into the Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946, and was a participant in World War ll. He was based in Guam and was a Communication Specialist.

Marshall worked for Ma Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years, as a Telephone Communication Specialist and Lineman.

He moved to New Mexico in 1960, and San County in 1988. On June 26, 1971, he married Betty Kay (Tipton) Wright at the Baptist Church in Tijeras.

Marshall enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, hunting, stamp collecting, playing chess and taking care of his family.

Marshall was proceeded in death by his parents, and sister, Betty Lee Lindsey.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Kay Wright; sons, Bernie L., Wesley F., and James E. Wright; daughter, Marsha Lynn Wright; sister, Martha Leona Childers; and 11 grandchildren.

Marshall was a very dedicated and patient husband and father who loved his family with all his heart. We will miss you.

Memorial Services will be at 11:30 a.m., today, Thursday, October 11, at Aztec Christian Church, 704 Piñon St. in Aztec. Minister Rodney Conover is officiating.

Dixie (House) Bickham

Oct. 8, 2007

Dixie (House) Bickham, 61, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007.

She was the daughter of Andrew and Tennie (Baldock) House.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., today, Friday, Oct. 12, at Wheeler Mortuary in Portales.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Portales Cemetery, under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.

Jerry Brow

Sept. 16, 1921 - Oct. 10, 2007

Jerry Brow, 86, of Farmington passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007. Jerry was born on Sept. 16, 1921, in Traverse City, Mich., to Arthur and Elizabeth Brow.

Jerry was a sergeant in the Army Corps of Engineers in World War II, serving in the Philippines. His unit was sent into Nagasaki, Japan, to assess damages three days after the A Bomb was dropped. Jerry was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2182. He had his pilot's license and was also president of the Sportsman's Club in Blanding, Utah, for several years.

Jerry was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved woodworking. His dog, Smokey, will be lost without him. Jerry owned a sporting goods store in Blanding before moving to Farmington, where he owned Jerry's Amoco/Phillips 66 truck stop before retiring in 1989.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Oneta; grandson, Leslie; brothers, Art and Cletus Brown; and sister Amelda.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Jody Rahm Brow; daughter, Brenda Hadden (Jerry); sons, JD Brow (Margarete), Gary Rahm (Becky), Steve Rahm (Nanette), Dennis Rahm (Jeannine), Terry Rahm (Sherri), and Fritz Rahm (Christi); 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Brow and Kelly Brow; and sisters, Mary Ellen Osborne and Madelyn Lauderback.

Cremation has taken place.

The family will have a memorial service at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington; (505) 327-5142.

Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 2182.

Robert O. Gutierrez

Robert O. Gutierrez, 54, of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at his home.

Robert was born Nov. 11, 1952, in Tooele, Utah, to Manuel and Margaret Gutierrez.

Rosary and Mass are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Bloomfield.

John Calvin Hargis Jr.

Nov. 12, 1933 - Oct. 7, 2007

John Calvin Hargis Jr., 73, of Aztec, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, in Farmington. Calvin, as he was better known, was born Nov. 12, 1933, in Farmington, to John Calvin (Jack) Hargis Sr. and Nellie Blanche (Granny) Hargis.

Calvin was raised in Aztec, and was self-employed, drilling water wells for 35 years.

Calvin enjoyed being with his youngest grandchildren; Savannah Faye, Calvin Paul, Kaylee Shianne, Justin Corey, and John Cody, who he saw daily and spoiled and loved. He also enjoyed his hobbies; which included farming, going to the mountains, trapping, playing his music, working in his flower garden and a special love and care for animals of any kind.

Calvin was proceeded in death by his parents; son, John Calvin Hargis III; sisters, Blanche Ellen, Myrtle Margaret (Peggy), Lois Genevieve (Sonny) and Dorothy Elaine (Dot).

Calvin is survived by his dearly beloved wife, Virginia (Ginger) Lee White Hargis; sons, Corey (Tamera) Hargis, William Hargis and David Elliott; daughters, Garnet (Bart) Ashcroft (Hargis), Patricia Shelton (Hargis), Bonnie Hornburger, and Barbie Smith; sister, June Stewart; brother, William Hargis; special nieces, Faye Gay (Adair) and Thelma McCarty (Adair); 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren

Calvin was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

A public viewing was held from 8 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Oct. 11, at Cope Memorial Chapel.

Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. at the Aztec Community Cemetery.

Pastor Dennis Vaughn officiated.

She will be laid to rest at Rose Garden Cemetery in Upper Fruitland.
