Wannie Coffman
Services: Have been held.
Wannie Chloe Caughran Coffman, 89, of Albuquerque, died Thursday, May 29, 2003.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1913, in Munday, Texas.
She moved to Grady in a covered wagon when she was 18 months old. She married Morton Coffman on Dec. 24, 1939. They moved to Dove Creek, Colo. , where they farmed, ranched and lived off the land. She taught elementary school for 32 years. She was active in the community and the Methodist church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother.
She is survived by a brother, Virgil Caughran (and wife, Elsie) of Albuquerque; a daughter, Barbara Woodward (and husband, Bob) of Albuquerque; a son, Leroy Coffman (and wife, Carol) of Tallahassee, Fla.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zia Hospice, 4253 Montgomery, Suite G-130, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
Arrangements were by French Mortuary of Albuquerque.

Iola Mae Coggins
Services: Have been held.
Iola Mae Coggins, 101, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Hugo, Okla., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Paducah, Ky.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1902, in Ashdown, Ark., to O.D. and Annie Conger Turner.
She married J. Homer Coggins in 1920, in Ashdown, Ark. Family members said she loved card games, especially bridge, and she was an accomplished organist and pianist. She played for silent films. She was the organist for the First Baptist Church in Hugo for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Homer D. Coggins (and wife, Dorothy) of Benton, Ky., and Paul E. Coggins (Becky) of Portales; seven grandchildren, Frank and Pam Coggins, Paul E. and Regina Coggins, Carrie and Jerry Stoltz, John and Cathy Coggins, Mark and Wendy Coggins, Cathy and Dale Hancock and Cheryl and Jim Devoe; 11 great-grandchildren, Tim Coggins, Carol McBride, Anita Richard, Laura Coggins, Adam Hancock, Josh Hancock, Jake Hancock, Zack Stoltz, Christina Devoe, Allison Devoe and Jessica Coggins; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla.
The Rev. Doug McClure officiated the services.
Arrangements were by Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel of Hugo, Okla.

Joe Cole
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Joseph “Joe” Jackson Cole, 58, a lineman with Xcel Energy, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Ripple Mead, Va., to Sam and Christine Cole.
He married Hazel Tivis on Dec. 27, 1964, in Juarez, Mexico. He spent a year in the U.S. Army from 1967-1968. They came to Clovis in 1970, where Joe worked as a lineman for Xcel Energy until he fell ill. He was a member of Faith Christian Family Church.
Family members said he loved classic cars, dancing, square dancing, fishing, hunting and making Indian jewelry for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Cole.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jennifer (and husband, Tracy) Kimberly of Clovis and Allison (Marc) Autrey of Burlington, Iowa; his mother, Christine Cole of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers, J.D. Cole of Clovis and Bobby Cole of Portales; two sisters, Betsy Pollard of Hagarstown, Md., and Phyllis Radford of Goldbond, Va.; and two granddaughters, Delaney and Sashia Kimberly of Clovis.
Pastor Maurice Monson will officiate the services, assisted by Pastor David Swann.
Cremation will take place.
Honorary pallbearers will be classic car owners.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, care of Dorothy Nelson.
Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis is handling arrangements.

Margaret Coleman
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Margaret Fern Coleman, 63, of Farwell, a business owner, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Sundown, Texas, to Lewis and Hazel Matthews Lauhoff.
She graduated from high school in Floyd in 1959. She married Jim Coleman on April 30, 1960, in Portales. She worked for and owned City Cleaners for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Coleman (and wife, Lyna) of Farwell and Troy Coleman (and wife, Beth) of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Diana Baxter (and husband, Jesse) of Farwell and Sandy Adams (and significant other, Forrest Reames) of Clovis; 12 grandchildren, Jami Coleman of Amarillo; Jered Coleman of Farwell, T.J., Tory and Tyler Coleman, all of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Jess Baxter of Crystal City, Texas, VaCoesha and Bryan Simpson, both of Austin, Texas, Crystal and Kelly Helton, both of Muleshoe, and Neshell Thompson and Michael Johnson, both of Farwell; a great-grandson, Lathen Helton; four sisters, Mildred Williams (and husband, Alfred) and Stella Rogers, all of Bonham, Texas, Ethel Standefer (and husband, Joe) of Floyd and Mary Wright (and husband, Carl) of Tucumcari; a brother, Buddy Lauhoff (and wife, Carolyn) of Amarillo; in-laws, Auther and Kathryn Coleman of Capitan and Betty Coleman of Portales; many nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Freddie Chavez.
The Rev. David Swann will officiate the services.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care.

Bobby Collins
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Bobby Collins, 72, of Clovis, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born on March 16, 1932, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., to Ben and Edith Coy Collins.
He married Alice W. Derr on Sept. 14, 1954, in Walnut Ridge, Ark. He had been a resident of Clovis since August of 1965. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972. He worked for feed lots and did construction work after retirement. Family members said he loved to cook, bake and fish at Green Acres Lake. He was a member of 16th & Pile Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Woodrow; and a sister, Bernice Derr.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Collins of Albuquerque; two daughters, Alice Beavers (and husband, Dudley) and Susan Barteau (Michael), all of Rio Rancho; two brothers, Billy Collins of Hartford, Mich. and Johnny Collins of Coloma, Mich.; four grandchildren, Quintin and Gary Oliver, Christopher Barteau and Cindy Yanez; and nine great-grandchildren.
Jim Gammon officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Full military honors will be conducted by the Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Pallbearers are LaVerne Vaughan, Melburn Johnston, Kenneth Jones, Don McCasland, Bob Norris and Curtis Tabor.
Memorial contributions may be made to the 16th & Pile Church of Christ Youth Fund.

Lillie Collins
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Lillie Mae Collins, 73, of Texico, a housewife, died Monday, July 7,2003, in Clovis.
She was born on March 26, 1930, in Lone Wolf, Okla., to Sam and Amy Wilson Prater.
She married Clark Collins on Feb. 6, 1982, in Clovis. She was raised in California and Melrose. Family members said she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed serving her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pam Honeycutt; and a step-daughter, Vickie Collins.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Judy Reneau (and husband, Roland) of Fort Worth, Texas, Linda Hotchkiss (Richard) and Debbie Butcher, all of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Cliff Prater (Jeromine) of Pahrump, Nev.; nine grandchildren; and a special cousin, Earlene Jones.
Herbert Bergstrom will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Grady Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Bill Cones
Services: Have been held.
Bill Cones, 93, of Fort Sumner, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 at his home following an illness.
He was born July 4, 1910, in Norwood, Mo., to John W. and Louanna Tennesse Akers Cones.
His parents homesteaded northeast of Newkirk in 1912 where they made their home until 1947. He attended school at Isidor. He married Velma Caulkins in 1938 at Santa Rosa, and they made their home in the Fort Sumner Valley in 1946. He was a retired truck driver, and family members said he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Ray Cones, on April 28, 1999; two sisters, Hattie Bailey and Eathel Hedgecoke; and a brother, Johnny Cones.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ruth Randelman of Fort Sumner and LouAnna Loflin (and husband, Don) of Plainview, Texas; one son, Billy Lee Cones (Patricia) of Fort Sumner; a brother, Roy Cones of San Diego; one sister, Dorothy Bruce of Phoenix; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
The Rev. Sherman Martin will officiate the services.
Burial will be at the Cones family plot at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be great-grandsons Blaine Sande, Dustin Joiner, Randy Nichols, Clay Nichols, Jason Cones, Billy Cones and Kyle Cones.
Honorary pallbearers will be G.A. Gunn, Lawrence Kenyon, Powhatan Carter and all his family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Portales Children’s Home, P.O. Box 629; Portales, NM 88130.
Chavez Funeral Home of Fort Sumner is handling arrangements.

Rose Connolly
Services: Have been held.
Ms. Rose Katherine Connolly, 66, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at her home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Greenville, Miss., to Frank and Tena Maranto Mason.
She came to Clovis in June 1978. She was a Catholic. Family members said she enjoyed traveling and being with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Lyssy (and husband, Kenneth) of Pearland, Texas and Maureen Rutherford (and husband, Hollis) of Katy, Texas; a son, Michael F. Connolly Jr. of Arkadelphia, Ark.; four grandchildren, Jeffery and Stephen Rutherford, both of Katy, and Matthew and Melanie Lyssy, both of Pearland, Texas.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis.
Father Carlos Chavez will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Park in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be Hollis Rutherford, Kenneth Lyssy, Patrick Connolly, Tim Selig, Bob Hayter and J.L. Lapp.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.

Margaret Cook
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Margaret Genevieve Cook, 78, of Hobbs, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, in Hobbs.
She was born on April 20, 1925, in Hunt County, Texas, to Haskell Charles “Pop” and Cleo Elwood Conder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Maxine Dennis and Opal Prater; and three brothers, Billy Joe, Ralph Elwood and Raymond Vincent Conder.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn of Hobbs; a daughter, Carroll Jean Leatherwood of Clovis; two sons, Charlie Barnes of Calahan, Colo., and Monte Cook of Carlsbad; four brothers, Jerry Conder of Reno, Nev., Don Lee Conder of Lubbock, Robert Olin Conder and Roy Lee Conder, both of Terrell, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Chris Barnett officiated the services.
Burial was at Prairie Haven Memorial Park in Hobbs.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital, 6977 Main Street, Houston, TX 77030.
Arrangements were by Griffin Funeral Home of Hobbs.

Kenneth Cooley
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Kenneth DeWayne Cooley, 50, of Clovis, a registered nurse, died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at his home.
He was born on April 15, 1954, in Belen, to Kenneth and Donna Hodge Cooley.
He was a registered nurse at Plains Regional Medical Center. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and owned Pax Key Shop before returning to school to study nursing. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Clovis Masonic Lodge #40 A.F.&A.M. Family members said he was an avid chef and gardener and he left his footprints in the hearts of all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include a companion, Ray Munoz of Clovis; his father, Maurice McGill of Clovis; a sister, Cynthia Myers (and husband, Billy) of Clovis; a niece, Brittany Duffield of Clovis; two aunts, Martha Ravan of Albuquerque and Phyllis Lewis of Clovis; and an uncle, James Hodge of Hereford, Texas.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

OLA COONFIELD
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Ola Mae Coonfield, 90, of Clovis, a retired retail sales manager, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, in Clovis.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1913, in Fluvana, Texas, to C.C. and Lelia Barnes Pyle.
She had been a resident of Clovis most of her life. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1929. She worked for Stanley’s for many years and then Harbey’s Gift Shop. She had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1927. She was a charter member of Llano Estacado Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jimmy Hanes; her second husband, Bill Coonfield; two brothers, Carl and Floyd; and two sisters, Gladys and Ethel.
Survivors include a sister, Lillian Ulary of Tucumcari; a niece, Letha Howard (and husband, Bob) of Clovis; and three nephews, Loyd Norton (Kathryn) of Fresno, Calif., Jay Ulary (Paletta) of Cedar Park, Texas and Charles Ulary (Francita) of Lewisville, Texas.
The Rev. Joel Horne will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Martin, Eldon Jones, James Joiner, Lee Roach, Marlon Inman and Terry Townsend.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.

Maxine Copeland
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Maxine Copeland, 86, of Lubbock, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Garrison Geriatric Care Center in Lubbock.
She was born on April 27, 1917, in Thalia, Texas, to Mattie and Isaac Gray.
Her mother died when she was 2 years old. She was cared for by her father, older siblings, grandparents and aunts and uncles. She graduated from Rogers High School. She married Jack Copeland on May 23, 1937, in Portales. She drove a school bus and cooked in the school cafeterias at Causey and Dora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Cricket, Jack, Marvin and Stephen Gray; three sisters, Opal, Alta and Virgie; and her husband.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Copeland of Lubbock; three daughters, JoAnn McCall (Lynn) of Kathleen, Ga., Wilma Pollard (Howard) and Pat Crimmins, all of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Shonnie Crimmins Collier (Ken), Mark Pollard (Rachel), Randy Crimmins (Kim), Bryan Pollard, Regina Campbell Jacobs (Michael), Jerrod Copeland and Renae Campbell; 16 great-grandchildren, Aaron and Landon Collier, Kaleigh Justin Crimmins, Will, Calli, Baley, Shaley and Desiree Pollard, Jessica and Chase Copeland, Kayla and Christopher Jacobs, Sidney Lang and Monica and Heather Bolding; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Causey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Crimmins, Ken and Aaron Collier, Bryan and Mark Pollard and Jerrod Copeland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Causey Cemetery Association or the Garrison Geriatric Education and Care Center, 2710 4th St., Lubbock, TX 79415.

Lorraine Corbin
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Lorraine Corbin, 84, of Portales, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Heartland Continuing Care Center in Portales.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1918, in Vernon, Texas, to Ivy and John T. Compton.
She grew up in Vernon until 1936 when her family moved to New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Rogers in 1937. She married Dale Corbin on Dec. 16, 1937, in Clovis. They made their home in the Causey community where they farmed for many years. She was a member of the Causey Homemakers Club and the Causey Church of Christ. She was employed at the Causey Store, in the post office and drove a school bus. She moved to Portales in 1985 and was a member of the Third and Kilgore Church of Christ. Family members said she enjoyed sewing and doing hand work projects, was an excellent cook and enjoyed making a comfortable home for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clyde and Roy Compton; and her husband.
She is survived by a son, Art Corbin (and wife, Janet) of Alamogordo; a daughter, Wilma Linton (and husband, Olen) of Portales; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Corbin of Portales.
David Bennett and Keith Corbin will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clint, Keith and Alvin Corbin, Jimmy Linton and Earl Dawdy.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Ollie Fay (Flinn) Corbin
Services:Have been held.
Mrs. Ollie Fay (Flinn) Corbin, 72, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at the Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell.
She was born June 9, 1930, in Clovis, to Arilla and John W. Flinn Jr.
Corbin lived in Clovis, Causey, Truth or Consequences and Albuquerque plus Morton and Dimmitt, Texas.
For a period of time, she worked at rest homes in Morton and Dimmitt. For a long number of years, she worked as a caretaker for the elderly in Albuquerque, as well as in Clovis and Portales.
Corbin was a member of the Third and Kilgore Church of Christ.
She enjoyed a long-time companionship of 23 years with Delos Corbin, which ended with his death in 1979.
Mrs. Corbin was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a brother, John W. Flinn III of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, June Barber of Albuquerque, Ila Raviart of Las Cruces and Zora Stroud of Portales; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
David Bennett will officiate the service.
Wheeler Mortuary of Portales is handling the arrangements.
