Fuller, Louise
Services: Have been held.
Louise Fuller, 78, of Portales, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
She was born on March 27, 1926, in Talpa, Texas, to Drusel and Eargle Berry.
She grew up in Runnels County, Texas, where she attended school. Upon graduation, she moved to Galveston, Texas, where she worked for the telephone company. She married E.A. Fuller on April 6, 1946, in Crews, Texas. They moved to Roosevelt County, where they were involved in farming and the dairy business. In the late 1950s they moved to Portales. She was a active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery and taught Sunday school. She had also served as a Scouting volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Berry; two sisters, Ruby and Ruth Berry; a great-grandchild, Neal Crowley; and by her husband.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Fuller (and wife, Jean) of Wills Point, Texas, Darrell Fuller (Joy) of Idalou, Texas, Jeffery Fuller (Chris) of Poulsbo, Wash., and and Greg Fuller of Portales; three daughters, Becky McCauley (Ed) of Waco, Texas, Charlotte Gomez (Alfonso) of Portales and LaWanda Wortham (Rowdy) of Portales; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Berry of Clovis and Frank Berry of San Angelo, Texas; and two sisters, Evaneal Tolson and Martha Wilson, both of Portales.
The Rev. Walter Huber and Winston Berry will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ed McCauley, Rowdy Wortham, Alfonso Gomez, Danny Crowley, Lonnie Berry and Danny and Ricky Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are the Roosevelt General Hospital Nursing and ER Staffs.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

T.M. Fullerton
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Thomas Marion “T.M.” Fullerton, 80, of Portales, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1922, in Rogers, to Lucy and Roy Fullerton.
He was raised in and attended schools in Rogers where he was active in basketball and track and field. He attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, where he continued in athletics. In 1942, he entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He returned to Portales upon being discharged in 1945.
He married Joyce Sumrall on Dec. 19, 1946. They moved to Forrest where they farmed until 1951. They then returned to Portales where he owned and operated University Service Station until 1965. Then he worked as a Park Ranger at Oasis State Park until retiring in 1983. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 3299 and the Forrest Baptist Church. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends, traveling and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hollis and Ray Fullerton; and three sisters, Florence Morrison, Maxine Whitaker and May Jean Fullerton.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale Fullerton (and wife, Sandi) of Clovis; two daughters, Dixie Salas (Lucio) of Portales and Diane and Jim Dickey of Anton, Texas; four grandchildren: Kelly Sivage, Keri Robinson, Cal Fullerton and Sonya Salas; a brother: Walton Fullerton of Blum, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Revs. Steve Smith and Jim Wilkerson will officiate the services. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Imogene Fuqua
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Imogene Fuqua, 89, of Bethel, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Heartland Continuing Care Center in Portales.
She was born on June 7, 1914, in Gaines County, Texas, to Maudie and Mike Jones.
She grew up near Seminole, Texas. She married “Dunk” Fuqua on Jan. 14, 1931, in Lovington. They lived in Seminole until 1942 when they moved to the Price Ranch west of Floyd. They lived there until 1967 when they moved to Moriarty and in 1971 they returned to Floyd to run the Steele Ranch. In 1977 they purchased the Floyd store. Two years later they sold the store and moved to Bethel where they ranched and traded cattle. She attended the Bethel Baptist Church. Family member said she enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, raising cattle and Dr. Pepper floats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Milton, Elmore, Frank and Bill Jones; a sister, Ello Rea Baughn; a son, Joe Bernard Fuqua; a daughter, Altha Fay Rice; and a grandson.
She is survived by a son, Jim Fuqua (and wife, Donna) of Portales; a sister, Katherine Mitchell of Grants; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Dean Turvaville will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Floyd Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe, Tim, Brandon, Jason, Bryan and Dillon Fuqua, Moe Berry and Ronny Tipton.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Richard Gallegos IV
Services: Have been held.
Richard Gallegos IV, infant son of Richard and Stephanie Gallegos of Clovis, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, in Clovis.
He was born that same day in Clovis.
Survivors include his parents; one sister, Marissa Gallegos of Clovis; grandparents, Richard and Hope Gallegos of Clovis, Jesse and Maria Valero of Clovis; and great-grandparents, Richard and Rose Gallegos of Clovis, Marshall Valdez of Clovis and Edie Valdez of Fort Sumner.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Cloice Gammel
Services: Have been held.
Ms. Cloice Gammel, 90, of Olympia, Wash., formerly of Clovis, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Roo Lan Nursing Home in Olympia, Wash.
She was born on March 5, 1913, in Rochester, Texas, to George and Lora Swinney Malone.
She graduated from Ranchvale School in 1932. She married Bill Gammel on Nov. 12, 1933, in Littlefield, Texas. She was employed by the Green Stamp Redemption Center in Clovis for 13 years until her retirement. She was a charter member of Parkland Baptist Church. She moved to Olympia, Wash., in June of 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a daughter, Peggy Schooler.
She is survived by a daughter, Geri Fisher of Olympia, Wash.; two sisters, Ann Hutson of Gladstone, Ore., and Lucy Hutto of Pampa, Texas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Bob Christenson will officiate the services.
Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Olympia, Wash.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkland Baptist Church Building Fund.

Flora Garcia
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community Church.
Flora Garcia, 81, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1922, in Clayton, to Manuel and Ramona Gutierrez Chavez. She married Ernest Garcia July 24, 1938, in Wheatland, Wyo. They came to Clovis in August 1950 where she was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community Church. A family member said Flora loved to cook, especially for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in July 1986, her parents, and three brothers, John, Joe and Paul Chavez.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Garcia (and wife Leonela) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rudy Garcia of Clovis, Charlie Garcia (Anna) of Santa Fe, and Sammy Garcia (Lydia) of Clovis; a daughter, Phyllis (and husband David Louis) Roybal of Clovis; six sisters, Lugarcita Esquibel of Wheatland, Ida Martinez of Rapid City, S.D., Margie Bradley of Penrose, Co., Alice VanOrsdall of Casper, Wyo., Adella Villa of Colorado Springs, Co., and Barbara Carter of Deadwood, S.D.; four brothers, Manuel Chavez of Colorado Springs, Gilbert Chavez of Trinidad, Co., Albert Chavez of McMinnville, Ore., and Efrin Chavez of Albuquerque, N.M.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Plains Regional Medical Center Home Health Care and Hospice.
Rosary will be said at 7 tonight.
The Rev. Sotero Sena will officiate services.
Pallbearers will be Jose Carlos Garcia, Fernando Louis Roybal, Arsenio Ernesto Roybal, Ernest Joseph Garcia, Alexandro Samuel Garcia and Manuel Chavez Jr.

Guadalupe Garcia
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Guadalupe Arenas Garcia, 84, of Andrews, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at the Home Hospice House in Odessa, Texas.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1919, in Charco, Texas.
He married Ester Garcia in 1963, in Andrews. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and a daughter, Epifania Munoz.
He is survived by three sons, Arturo and Faustino Mejia and Jose Guitierrez, all of Andrews; two daughters, Gregoria Bermea and Rosa Trevino, both of Andrews; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CDT) Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas.
Jose Perez will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews, Texas.
Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews, Texas.

Layola Garcia
Services: Have been held.
Mrs. Layola Garcia, 67, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
She was born on July 16, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas, to Alcario Sotelo and Josephine Anaya.
Mrs. Garcia was a lifetime Clovis resident. She married Juan Antonio Garcia on March 19, 1956, in Morton, Texas. She was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. She enjoyed spending time with her family and in her fruit orchard, family members said.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Isabel Guzman and Gloria Anaya.
Survivors include her husband, Juan of Clovis; four sons, Alcario Tony Garcia, Richard (and wife Marcie) Garcia, Victor (and wife Marisa) Garcia and Jerry Garcia, all of Clovis; seven daughters, Amelia (and husband Heriberto) Torres, Yolanda Medrano, Victoria (and husband Jose Luis) Nanes, Teresa (and husband Arturo) Lopez, Anna (and husband Pepe) Jimenez, Linda (and husband Juan) Cruz and Lorraine Garcia, all of Clovis; two sisters, Celestina Aragon and Rena (and husband Jimmy) Martinez, all of Clovis; four half-sisters, Viola Sotelo, Pauline Sotelo, Amanda Sotelo and Rebecca Sotelo, all of Clovis; two half-brothers, Philip Sotelo and Alcario Sotelo Jr., both of Clovis; 46 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Rosary is at 7 tonight at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Rev. Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be Alcario T. Garcia, Richard Garcia, Victor Garcia, Jose Luis Nanes, Arturo Lopez and Heriberto Torres.

Mary Garcia
Services: Have been held.
Mary O. Garcia, 79, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.
Mrs. Garcia was born on May 3, 1924, in Trinidad, Colo. She was raised in Raton and lived most of her life in Clovis. In 1944, she married Frank Garcia in Clovis. She moved to Clovis after she met her husband while attending the New Mexico School for the Blind. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four sisters.
Survivors are two sons, Richard Garcia (his wife Mary Lou) of Albuquerque; and Joe Garcia (Rainy) of Waynesboro, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Martin Garza
Services: Have been held.
Martin Garza, 63, of Clovis, died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born April 30, 1940, in Wharton, Texas, to Elias J. and Paula Munoz Garza.
He attended schools in Wharton. He married Lydia Leal on Oct. 12, 1960, in Rochester, Ind. He lived in Clovis for 29 years, moving here from Hereford.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Garza, of the home; five sons, David Garza, Daniel Garza, Martin Garza Jr., Mario Garza and Marcello Garza, all of Clovis; three daughters, Sylvia Aragon, Viola Rubio and Diana Macias, all of Clovis; a brother, Abel Garza of Hereford; a sister, Mary Flores of Abilene, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ernest Cantu Jr. will officiate the services.
Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock is handling arrangements.

Moises Christian Garcia
Services: Have been held.
Moises Christian Garcia, 49, of Clovis died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, in Brunswick, Ga.
He was born May 14, 1954, in Clovis to Jose Angel and Rebecca Aragon Garcia.
He worked as a construction laborer. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Erlindo Garcia; and a sister-in-law, Christina Garcia.
He is survived by his father of Portales; a sister, Adela Goodman of Bernalillo; four brothers, Jesse Garcia, Joe Garcia Jr. and David Garcia, all of Clovis, and Billy Garcia of Long Beach, Calif.
Deacon Daniel Chavez will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.

Donald Gibbs
Services: Have been held.
Mr. Donald Ray Gibbs, 65, of Clovis, a brand inspector, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, in Clovis.
He was born on March 5, 1938, in Littlefield, Texas, to Alvis Craven and Ora Bell Estill Gibbs. He married Jackie Shelton on Nov. 15, 1957. Family members said he loved his family and the outdoors. He retired from the New Mexico Livestock Board as a brand inspector after 28 years.
Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kirk Gibbs.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie of Clovis; three sons, Randy (and wife Cheryl) Gibbs of Salt Lake City, Utah, Duke Gibbs and Jonathan Ingram, both of Clovis; two daughters, Donna (and husband Phillip) Hogan and LaRonda Ciciarelli, all of Clovis; two brothers, A.J. Gibbs of Corona and Archie Gibbs of Clovis; one sister, El Juena Jacquez of Clovis; five grandchildren, Jared (and wife Trish) Gibbs and Jory Gibbs of Salt Lake City, William “Bill” Wanzor and Brian Wanzor, both of the U.S. Navy, and Koleby Hogan of Clovis; and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Dean Turvaville will officiate during the memorial services.
Cremation will take place.

Pius Gibson
Services: No services are planned.
Mr. Pius Olney Gibson III, 45, of Portales, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1957, in Daytona Beach, Fla., to Dolores and Pius Olney Gibson Jr.
He grew up in Jackson, Miss. He was a 1975 graduate of Forrest Hill High School in Jackson. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He was an X-ray technician for 20 years until he became disabled. His lived in Mississippi for many years. He moved to Henderson, Nev.. in the late 1980s before moving to Portales about four years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his former wife, Sarathia Gibson of Portales; a son, Pius Gibson IV of Portales; a daughter, Chandra Gibson of Portales; his mother; two brothers, David A. Gibson of Henderson and Stephen Gibson of Kingman, Ariz.; and a sister, Camille Boone of Henderson.
Burial will be at South Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Monroe Gilmore
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday at Elida Baptist Church
Mr. Monroe Gilmore, 88, of Portales, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Heartland Continuing Care in Portales.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1915, in Girard, Texas, to Gertrude and Earnest Perry Gilmore.
He went to school at Wellman, Texas. He graduated from high school in Brownfield, Texas, in 1935. He married Opal Hight on Dec. 30, 1939, in Brownfield. They moved to Floyd in 1945. In 1957 they bought their farm in Elida where he ran a dairy and crop farm. Family members said he was an avid sports fan all of his life. He enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in sporting events. He also played the fiddle and was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and also by a sister, Gladys Bagwell.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Gilmore (and wife, Teresa) of Chouteau, Okla., and Joe Gilmore (Sharon) of Elida; two daughters, Vernell Powell of Elida and Vickie Thurman of Midland, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Gilmore of Conchas Lake; and a sister, Faye Henry of Portales.
The Rev. Herb Gage will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Elida Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Powell, Chad Thurman, Dewayne “Booger” Thurman and Kevin, Cody and Wesley Gilmore.
Honorary pallbearers will be L. D. Hays, Gary Cater, Ronald and Fred Anthony, Joe Smith, Charles Good, A. T. King, Ron Nuewart, Newell Williams, Buster Jones, Wimp Fine, Billy Frank Good and Adam and John D. Anthony.

Joy Ann Gleaton
Services: A private family service will be held in Corona.
Joy Ann Gleaton, 74, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1929, in Fort Sumner, to Albert J. and Frona Conwell Foor.
She married Sykes B. Gleaton on Nov. 2, 1947, in Fort Sumner. She was a homemaker and came to Clovis in August from Melrose where she lived for the past six years. Family members said she enjoyed hunting and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charlie and Burt Foor; and two sisters, June Perry and Edna Gregory.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Sherry Ann Webb (and husband, Jerry) of Fort Sumner, Christine “Chris” Elaine King (Rev. Fred) of Cheyenne, Okla., and Vicky Lea Niece of Melrose; a son, Randy Bell Gleaton (Terri) of Clovis; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Fred King and Youth Minister Daniel Gleaton will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
