SITARAMBHAI BHAKTA, 62, of Santa Fe, died Thursday.
Funeral service will be conducted today at Berardinelli Family Chapel.

DENNIS J. MARTINEZ, 46, of Chimayó, died Thursday following a short illness. He was a heavy-equipment operator for many years and he also loved working on classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Wallock-Martinez; maternal grandparents, Antonio and Marcella Quintana; paternal grandparents, Prajeres and Onofre Martinez; and father-in-law, Richard A. Wallock.
He is survived by his two sons, Dennis Martinez Jr. of Albuquerque and Kenny Martinez of Española; one daughter, Megan Martinez of Chimayó; parents, Jose D. and Estolia Martinez of Chimayó; two brothers, Louis Martinez and wife Sadie of Rio Chama and Daniel Martinez of Chimayó; one sister, Melissa Martinez of Chimayó; girlfriend, Carol Ann Sandoval and son Lorenzo of Cordova; and many other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayó. Burial will take place on a later date in Cedarburg, Wis., next to his wife Barbara.

VANGIE LORETTA SANDOVAL, 43, of Tecolotito, died Thursday at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe following an extended illness. She was born in Tecolotito on Dec. 18, 1959, to David Lucero Sr. and Rosa Baca Lucero. She was united in marriage on March 12, 1978, in Anton Chico to Frankie J. Sandoval. She was employed as a caregiver for Victory Home Health. She was also a substitute teacher and teacher aide at the Anton Chico Schools. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of the St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Abran Sandoval; grandparents, Juan and Rosa Lucero, and Timoteo and Eloisa Baca.
She is survived by her husband, Frankie J. Sandoval; sons, Clarence Anthony Sandoval, Christopher Jason Sandoval, and Eric Sandoval, all of the family home in Tecolotito; parents, David and Rosa Lucero of Tecolotito; brothers, Richard Lucero and wife Helen and David Lucero Jr. all of Las Vegas, N.M., and Lawrence Lucero and wife Liza of Tecolotito; sister, Frances Lucero of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
Rosary services will be at 7 tonight at the Rogers Chapel in Las Vegas, N.M. A second rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico. Burial will follow at the Tecolotito Cemetery. She will lie in state from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and until 5 p.m. Sunday at the Rogers Chapel.

CLAUDE S. SENA, 83, died Thursday. He was born to Nicholas Sena and Isabel Roybal on Dec. 28, 1919, in Nambé. When he was a young boy, his family moved to Durango, Colo., where he grew up and graduated from high school. He then put himself through the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque by washing windows at St. Joseph's Hospital and doing many other odd jobs. After graduating form Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C., in 1947, he returned to Santa Fe, where he worked in the District Attorney's Office. He later set up a private practice in Santa Fe and was known as "the Lawyer of the Valley" because of the work he did for all the people of Pojoaque and Nambé Valleys.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 45 years, Juanita Sanchez; brothers, Eloy and Eligio Sena; and sister, Rosella Miller.
He is survived by his children, Monica Sena and Jose Sena of Whittier, Calif., and Carlos Sena and Amalia Sena of Santa Fe; sisters, Frances Gomez of Pojoaque, Irene Martinez of Chimayó, Aurora Bumgardner, Nestora Chavez, and Tina Roybal of Albuquerque.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Cathedral. Burial will follow at Rosario Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Claude's house following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, St. Francis Cathedral.

SELMA FAY (REYNOLDS) SETO, died Tuesday. She was born on June 5, 1916, in Salina, Kan. She moved with her family to McAllen, Texas, in 1926, and after college, taught for many years in Mexico and Texas. In 1965, she married Paul, inheriting five children by his first wife, Genevieve (sister of Selma), whom she helped raise. The family moved to Teheran, Iran, where they served as Presbyterian missionaries until 1980. Upon retirement, she and Paul moved first to Albuquerque and then to Santa Fe, where they remained active in church, cultural and service groups.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe. Memorial gifts may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, Santa Fe, N.M., for its Pastoral Care Endowment.

PAULINE P. TAPIA, 81, of Santa Fe, died Thursday following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Miguel R. Tapia; father, Antonio Tapia; mother, Maria Tapia and brother, Tony Tapia.
She is survived by her sons, Patricio Tapia and wife Abbie, Joe Tapia, Cosme Tapia and wife Belinda; daughters, Mary Anaya and husband Gilbert, Marcella Ortiz and husband Lawrence, Pauline Lopez and husband Richard, Terese Griego and husband Chester, Connie Romero, Val Rossi and husband Greg of Midland, Mich.; brothers, Rudy Tapia and wife Carmen of Albuquerque, Carlos Tapia and wife Patsy; sister, Stella Tapia; and sister-in-Iaw Rosarito Marquez all of Santa Fe; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Berardinelli Family Chapel, and a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

ADELINA A. VALDEZ, 96, of Valdez, died Friday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Valdez, in 1967.
She is survived by her sons, Jose Valdez of Albuquerque, Ben E. Valdez (Tina) and Tony Valdez (Eva) all of Valdez, and Adelmo Valdez (Virginia) of Arroyo Seco; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Rosaries will be recited at 7 tonight at Rivera Chapel and at 7 p.m. Sunday at San Antonio Church in Valdez. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at San Antonio Church with burial to follow at Valdez Cemetery.

MARY "MARANITA" CDE BACA, 85, of Las Vegas, N.M. for the past 3 years and a former resident of Commerce City, Colo., died Saturday at Northeastern Regional Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born in Mosquero on Feb. 11, 1918 to the late Juan Hernandez and Socorro Rivera Hernandez. She was united in marriage on July 21, 1936 in Wagon Mound to the late Vicente Cde Baca. A lifelong Catholic she was a member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady Mother the Church in Commerce City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Cde Baca; and son, Cosme Cde Baca.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Cde Baca and wife Mary Lou, and Louie Cde Baca and wife Leona all of Commerce City, Colo.; daughter, Doris Cde Baca of Las Vegas, N.M.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Alfredo Hernandez and wife Chonita of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
Rosary devotional services will be at 7 p.m. tonight at Rogers Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
