LEONA PFEIFFER, 79, of Questa died Saturday. She was formerly of Taos. She is survived by her daughters, Constance Walsh, Nancy Hughes and Suzanne O'Reilly. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home, (505) 758-3841.

JOYCE DIX REMKE of Santa Fe died Tuesday after a battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Santa Fe Garden Club, P.O. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church on Grant Street, followed by a dinner party for friends in her memory at the Blagden home. ERNESTINA VALDEZ, 80, of Ojo Caliente died Thursday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salomon Valdez; parents Jose M. and Eutilia C. Gonzales; and son, Sam Gonzales. She is survived by her daughter, Sivie Gonzales of Taos; a granddaughter whom she raised, Renee Lynda Martinez; sisters, Eufelia Varela and husband Manuel of Kearns, Utah, Marian Martinez of Canon Plaza, and Priscilla Trujillo of Boone, Colo.; brothers, Bill Gonzales of Santa Fe and Joe B. Gonzales of Canon Plaza; and many other relatives and friends. MARY JOSEPHINE ANAYA, 78, of Galisteo died Wednesday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andres "Andy" Anaya; son, George Michael Anaya, who was killed in the line of duty during the Vietnam War; brothers, Frank, "Pancho," Ramon and Crecensio Anaya Jr.; sister, Tana Anaya; and parents, Crecensio and Catalina Anaya.
She is survived by her children, Florence Anaya, Raymond Anaya and wife Geneva, Jake Anaya and wife Theresa, Jimmy Anaya and wife Patsy, Kathy Lopez and husband Jose; sisters, Connie Anaya, Rosina Anaya and husband Joe, Mela Montoya and husband Onesimo; 15 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Nuestra Seņora de los Remedios in Galisteo. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the same church. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

JAMES D. ORDONEZ, 33, of Pecos died Wednesday.
He was born in Santa Fe.
He was preceded in death by his father, James G. Ordonez.
He was a generous, kind-hearted, respectful and outgoing person.
He is survived by his mother, Pat and husband Robert Marsh; children, Jaclyn and Nicole Ordonez; mother of his daughters and special friend, Marisa H. Ornelas; brother, Bobby Marsh; girlfriend, Cristina Quintana; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation and rosary will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday and a second rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Pecos. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Pecos Cemetery.

ANTHONY J. SALAZAR, 42, of Santa Cruz died Wednesday after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos E. Salazar.
He had a great sense of humor. He loved fishing. He was fan of the Denver Broncos and the Boston Celtics.
He is survived by his mother, Emeteria "Amy" Salazar; brothers and sisters, Ruben Salazar and wife Maria of Espaņola, Ray Salazar and wife Anita of La Mesilla, Carlos Salazar Jr. and wife Roseann of Pojoaque, Celsa Romero and husband Danny of Phoenix, Theresa Baros and husband Bobby and Geneva Garcia and husband Morris, all of Santa Cruz, Dolores Gonzales and husband Willie of Fairview; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada with burial to follow at the family plot in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Rosaries will be recited at 7 p.m. today and Sunday at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Arroyo Hondo.
A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Rael Cemetery in Arroyo Hondo.
