Elizardo Eloy Archuleta, 84, of Des Montes passed away on July 7, 2005. He was preceded in death by his sons, Lee Ignacio and Tony Archuleta, brothers, Damian and Ray Archuleta, sisters and brothers-in-laws Ofelia and Ted Sandoval, Laura and Gilio Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Lupe M. Archuleta, children, Michael E. Archuleta (Berlinda), Theresa Martinez (Ray), John Archuleta (Benita), Loretta Archuleta, Billy Archuleta (Teresa), 11 granchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Manuel Archuleta (Marina) and sister-in-law, Eliza Archuleta.
Rosaries were recited on July 9, 2005 and July 10, 2005. Funeral mass was held on July 11, 2055. All services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco cemetery. The family requests in leiu of flowers that donations to be sent to Mountain Home Health Hospice, PO Box 2566, Taos, NM 87571.

Adele Bodroghy Isaacs, 77, died on Wednesday July 6 in a Denver hospital after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Isaacs of Taos, New Mexico, her six sons, John, of Moline, IL, Curtis, of West Dundee, IL, Peter, of Hillsborough, NJ, Edward, of Eden Prairie, MN, Jonathan, of Denver, CO, James, of San Mateo, CA and three grandchildren. She was a resident of Taos for two years after being a resident of Illinois for more than 50 years. Although born in New Jersey, she grew up in New York City. While still a toddler, she was on stage with a Hungarian ethnic traveling company with her parents Sandor and Elizabeth Bodroghy who were actors and musicians. As a child she won a ballet scholarship to study under the tutelage of George Ballanchine at the Metropolitan Opera ballet school. For several years prior to adolescence she performed on the Metropolitan Opera stage whenever an opera included a part for a boy or girl. In later years she danced in Opera performances. A brilliant student, despite lack of time for studying because she was occupied after school with dance training, evenings and weekends performing, she graduated from high school at sixteen years of age and joined an international ballet company. As a singer and dancer she performed in several Broadway musicals. Her family suggests donations in her memory to the National Organization for Rare Disorders. 55 Kenosia Avenue, P.O. Robert “Pete” Peterson, 77, a resident of Las Colonias, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2005 with his loving family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a Veteran of the United States Merchant Marines having enlisted at the age of 16, he was also a United States Army and Air Force Veteran as well as a former Bernalillo County Sheriff Deputy. He will be remembered as a dignified and proud gentleman with a great smile, a sparkle in his eye and a firm handshake. He enjoyed flying his own airplane and held a private pilots license and especially enjoyed the beautiful New Mexico hunting, fishing and riding horses with his brother-in-laws: Raul, Felix, Eliseo Jr. and Palemone Miera. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose Peterson in 1999; the love of his life and daughter, Norma Jean Peterson in 2000. Robert and Rose lovingly cared for their daughter, Norma Jean for over 44 years in her struggle with Cerebral Palsy. After his wife’s passing, he and his family proudly cared for Norma Jean until her passing. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Peterson; sister, Helen Gualde and many in-laws. He is survived by his children: George R. Peterson and wife Donna of Las Colonias, Dianna Blozis of CA, Charles Peterson of CA and Lisa Roybal and her husband Duwayne of Pecos; sister, Carol Ciccarelli of FL; grandchildren: Robert Peterson of CA, Kelly Rivera and her husband Matthew Sr. of Santa Fe, Brian Peterson of Las Colonias, Janet Peterson of Taos and April Peterson and fiancé Daniel Sanchez of CA, Tracy and Eric Blozis, Amanda, Emily and Erica Peterson all of CA, Joseph, Camille and Derek Roybal all of Pecos; great-grandchildren: Matthew Jr., Robert, Angelo, Anthony and Hailey; as well as many brother and sister-in-laws and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone. A devotional service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home in Taos. Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005 at 12noon at the Miera Family cemetery in El Prado with Military Honors.

Karen Weber, 54, died of colon cancer July 2, 2005 in Pueblo, CO. She faced her illness the way she lived her life - with courage, lack of complaint, optimism, strength, and concern for others before herself. She will be missed by her 18-year old daughter Megan; her ex-husband Cayce Weber of Denver; her brother Ken Wichelns and family Carmen Gloria and Camila of Albuquerque; her sister Jan Cross and husband Jai of Arroyo Hondo; her sister Jill Wichlens and family Rich, Laura, and Kathleen Gabriel of Denver; brother-in-law Chip Weber and family Lorie, Travis, and Molly of Taos; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maureen Wichelns of Albuquerque.
Karen was born and raised in Albuquerque, attending Del Norte High School. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Disorders from ENMU and UNM. She had a passion for her work as a speech pathologist and dedicated herself to her clients in Albuquerque, Mora, Taos, and Pueblo. A people person, Karen was active in many community concerns, including Girl Scouts and the Broadway Theatre League. Always smiling and forever friendly, she relished traveling with her daughter Megan, enjoying a glass of wine with friends, camping, skiing, and gardening. Above all, Karen loved watching her daughter grow, enjoy life, and achieve numerous scholastic, musical, and athletic successes.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 16 at the family home in Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Megan Weber Education Fund, U.S. Bank, 1018 Constitution Road, Pueblo, CO, 81001.

Randy Gary Medina, 13, of Ranchos de Taos passed away unexpectedly on December 05, 2005. He is survived by his father, Gary Medina (Kondru), mother, Yevette Maul (Anthony), brothers and sister, Gary Medina Jr., Michael and Alyssa Maul, grandparents, Mary Ann and Stanley Saiz, Anthony Jeantette, Carmen Medina and Beatrice Medina. He is also survived by his great grandmother, Sally Trujillo, step grandmother, Corina Saiz, uncles and aunts, Jovan Jeantete (Isaac Martinez), Anthony Jeantete Jr. (Carla), Eric Jeantete (Erica), Denise Jeantete, Arnold Trujillo (Vanessa), Rick Medina (Renee), Manda Medina, Brandon Medina, Isaac Martinez, Gabriel Gomez (Sonya), Terry Torres (Manuel), Loretta Trujillo (Alfonso Vigil), Stacey Saiz (Frances) and many other relatives.
Rosary was recited on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 7 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass was held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment to follow at Dolores cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Medina, Arnold Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo Jr., Isaac Martinez, Anthony Jeantette, Marcos Gallegos, Manuel Torres Jr. and Eric Jeantette. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Lilio E. Rivera, 86, of Amalia, NM died at SLVRMC in Alamosa, CO, on Dec. 8, 2005. He was born to Julian Rivera and Miquelita Arellano Rivera on May 28, 1919. He was member of the RCCLA. One of his hobbies was a sheep herder. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Antonia. He is survived by two sons, Arnold (Barbara) Rivera of Thornton, CO, Erasto (Beverly) Rivera of Amalia, NM, one daughter Vilma (Marshall) Bailon of Cerro, NM; two sisters Eva (Eddie) Vigil of Denver, CO, Rebecca Valdez of Pueblo, CO, five grandchildren, James, Kevin, Sara, Eric Rivera. A rosary was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2005 at Santo Nino Church in Amalia. The Funeral mass was on Dec. 10, 205 at Santo Nino church in Amalia with burial following in Santo Nino cemetery. Arrangement were made with Weylen’s Funeral Home of San Pablo

Thomas Williford, 66, of Ranchos de Taos passed away on December 06, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Sue Williford, children, Scott Williford, Chad Spear, Stacey Pratorious (Mark), Brieanne Casey (Harris), Julie Johnson, grandchildren, Zachary, Luke, Lindsey and Harrison.
Service was held on December 09, 2005 at Rivera-Chapel. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Eloisa Garcia, 66, of Arroyo Seco passed away on December 6, 2005. She is preceded in death by her father, Ambrosio Madrid and brother, Leo Madrid. She is survived by her husband, Cloro Garcia, children, Cleo Fernandez (Chris), Bobby Garcia (Angela), Rick Garcia (Carla), Matthew Garcia and mother, Maria de La Paz Madrid. She is also survived by grandchildren, Vicente, Eddie, Richard and Santos, sisters, Rose Martinez (Ruben), Elvira Garcia (Fidel), Olivia Rendon (George), brother, Frank Madrid (Mary), many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Rosary was recited on December 9, 2005. Funeral mass was held on December 10, 2005. Both services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Katherine “Katie” Mares, 48, of Taos passed away on December 04, 2005. She is preceded in death by her mother, Isabel Valerio and brother, Robert Lee Valerio. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Eric Mares, father, Eppie Valerio, sister, Diana McMains, her companion, Chris Maes, granddaughter, Valerie Mares and many other relatives.
Memorial service was held on December 07, 2005 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Barbara Ann Rodriguez, 61, of Taos passed away on December 04, 2005. She was an artist and mayordoma of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Rodriguez, son, Joseph L. Rodriguez (Annabell) of Taos, daughter, Laurie Wendt (Dale) of Albuquerque, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother, Leonard Powell (Karen) of Bakersfield, California and sister, Rose Marie Hunt of Hawaii.
Rosary was recited on December 06, 2005. Funeral mass was held on December 07, 2005. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment was held at Pacheco cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Eugenio Rael, 91, of Taos and formerly of Questa passed away on November 30, 2005. He was an educator at the Questa school system and also taught veterans cabinet making after WWII. He was also a general contractor and later returned to his first love of making Spanish colonial furniture. He was an outstanding artisan and he has three pieces at the NM State Capital which include a banco and two armchairs. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cecilia Cisneros Rael, son, Bobby Rael, brothers, Moises, Juan Benito, Elirio and Malaquias Rael, granddaughter, Loretta Valdez. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Vigil Rael, children, Anita Valdez, Dianna Rael-Apodaca (Leroy), Martha Rael Nimon (Manuel), Jean Rael, Ruben Rael (Patricia), stepchildren, Diana Candelaria, Frances Montoya (Eloyed), David Fresquez (Rita), sisters, Priscilla Galliour (John) and Lila Rodriquez (Bialquin), 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many other relatives.
Rosary was recited on December 2, 2005. Funeral mass was held on December 3, 2005. Both services were held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Questa. Interment was held at San Pedro cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Gussie Sennett, 91, of Taos passed away on November 29, 2005. She was born in Chicago, IL and raised two daughters, Barbara Gilkey of Central Point, Oregon and Sara Senet of Mora, NM. She was a classical pianist and gardener and head of the Los Angeles Mandolin Orchestra. Gussie was a political activist and a women's libber. She was a wonderful chocolate candy maker and once had a company named Candies by Augusta. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by many.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Juanita “Shena” M. Cordova, 86, of Taos passed away on November 27, 2005. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melquiades Cordova on June 09, 1996, son, Phil Cordova on November 10, 1988 and daughter in law, Rose Mary Cordova on October 30, 1995. She is survived by children, Acorcinio Cordova (Amelia) of Albuquerque, Creselda Torres of Gilette, Wyoming, Clorinda Quintana (Celestino) of Arroyo Seco, Bertina Fernandez (Arsenio) of Taos, Leonela Rael (Isaac) of Albuquerque, Joseph Cordova (Phoebe) of Albuquerque, Elma Black (Edward) of Taos and Kenneth Cordova. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
Evening service was held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 01, 2005 at 10 AM at Rivera Chapel with interment to follow at Arroyo Seco cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

Luis Carlos Trevizo, 45, of Ranchos de Taos passed away on November 27, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Betty Tafoya Trevizo, son, Sergio Trevizo of Denver, mother, Socorro Arvizo de Trevizo of Ranchos de Taos and father, Manuel Trevizo of Mexico. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Cesar Trevizo (Rose) of Taos, Sonya Cordova (Dennis) of Ranchos de Taos, Delia Lorta (Dario) of Mexico, Gloria Arvizo (Luis) and Efrain Arvizo all of Ranchos de Taos and niece, Valentina Arvizo.
Rosaries were recited on November 28, 2005 at Rivera Chapel and on November 29, 2005 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass was held on November 30, 2005 at San Francisco de Asis Church. Interment was held at Jesus Nazareno cemetery.
