MARIO ARCHULETA, 19, of Arroyo Seco died unexpectedly Sunday.
He was a graduate of Pojoaque Valley High School. He loved boxing and wrestling. He was very good at working with electronics.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Urbina of Arroyo Seco; father, Leo Urbina of Alcalde; brother, Jesse Urbina of Arroyo Seco; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at 4 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada. Cremation will follow the service.

CLARIBEL CROSHAW, 85, of Santa Fe died Saturday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Crowshaw.
She is survived by her children, Beth Castellano and husband Jerome, and George Crowshaw and wife Christy, all of Santa Fe, Ann Kendall of Denver, Colo., and Peggy Howsmom and husband Randy of Fall River Mills, Calif.; six grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Rosario Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice Center, 1400 Chama, Santa Fe, N.M., 87505.

LAWRENCE M. HEON, 58, of Santa Fe died Friday after a long illness.
He was born in Nashua, N.H. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa College of Law. He served in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War as a captain in the U.S. Army, Air Defense Artillery. Prior to opening his private law practice in Santa Fe, he represented the Inn at Loretto and the Kirkpatrick family. Before moving to Santa Fe, he spent 17 years with the Bank of Oklahoma and rose to senior vice president of the commercial real estate division. Other career highlights included senior banking industry positions in Massachusetts, Kansas and Missouri. He was a member of the bar in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jane Heon; daughter, Holly and husband Ash Jacobsen; son, Mark Davis and wife Twila; four grandchildren; three dogs; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the near future. Burial will be held at the Heon family burial site in Nashua, N.H.

RUBEN MARTINEZ, 59, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Sunday at Northeastern Regional Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Maria Martinez; sister, Tomasita Martinez; brother, Pete Martinez; and child, Benjie Martinez.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Martinez; sister, Lydia Salazar and husband Steve; all of Las Vegas; children, Annette Martinez, Elaine Martinez, Enadina Martinez, Yvonne Martinez, Anthony Martinez and Ruben Martinez; and many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Las Vegas Christian Center with burial to be held at a later time at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, N.M.

GENOVEVO "BEVO" DOMINGUEZ PINO, 81, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Monday at his home after a long illness.
He was born in Big Spring, Texas, and was a former resident of Anton Chico. He served in the 872nd Chemical Company of the Army Air Corps as a private first class during World War II. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the American Theater, European-African-Middle Eastern and Good Conduct medals. He retired in 1983 from the New Mexico Highlands University, where he was employed in the maintenance department for 35 years. He loved to fish, go to casinos and spend time with his family. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Rosa Dominguez and Narciso and Juanita Pino, who raised him; brother, Nacho Dominguez; and sister, Andrea Dominguez.
He is survived by his wife, Celina B. Pino of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Frank Pino and wife Lupe of El Paso, Texas, Louie Pino and wife Christine of Albuquerque, Manuel Pino and wife Roseanne of Las Vegas, N.M., and Joseph Pino and wife Mary Louise of Las Cruces; daughters, Rose Martinez and Andy Lou Ulibarri and husband Charlie, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; sister, Tacha Romero of Albuquerque; 19 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, N.M. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the same church with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

JULIAN QUINTANA, 59, of La Mesilla died Monday following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He worked 27 years for the Los Alamos County. He loved fly fishing and many other outdoor activities. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather and a devoted Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillian Quintana.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Quintana of Espaņola; children, Christal Quintana and boyfriend Nathan Salazar of Espaņola, John Quintana, Gina Quintana and Anna Noto, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; six grandchildren; brothers, Mike Baros of Espaņola and Frank Quintana Jr. of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Louise Cantos and husband Jeff of Albuquerque, Rachel Montono, Patricia Ortega, and husband Samuel and Jessica Salazar and husband Gilbert, all of Denver, Colo., Lydia Lovato of Las Vegas, Nev., and Virginia Baros who raised him; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a devotional service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Christian Life Church in Santa Fe with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

NELL VERNA BATTS, 80, of Santa Fe died Wednesday.
She was born in Tahoka, Texas. She moved to Santa Fe in 1947 and taught music at Leah Harvey Junior High for eight years. She was a member of P.E.O., the 15 Club, CBS Community Bible Studies and the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Batts.
She is survived by her children, Charles D. Batts and wife Marilyn of Santa Fe, Carla Jelinek and husband Tim of Albuquerque, and Betty Gruitch and husband Bob of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sister, Louise Kincaid of Hereford, Texas; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at noon Saturday followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Santa Fe Community College Scholarship Fund, 6401 Richards Ave., Santa Fe, N.M., 87508-4887 or to the Southern Baptist Missions Fund, c/o the First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, N.M., 87505.
