Biljana Radovanovic, 44, of Taos passed away on October 20, 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Dana Radovanovic. She is survived by her sister, Snezana Radovanovic, nephew and niece Filip and Nadja Radovanovic and her friend Jon G. Iverson.
Services will be held in Nevada

Antonia Rose Miera
Died October 24, 2006
Antonia Rose Adelle Miera, 16, of Taos passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2006. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rose Roybal, Edna and Ruben Miera, aunt, Ruby Miera. She is survived by her mother, Tammy C. Roybal (Davi Gonzales) of Taos, father, Anthony Miera (Francisca Chavez) of Ranchos de Taos, sisters, Tanya Miera and Christine Martinez, great grandmother, Margarita Anaya, aunts, Florence and Dolores Miera, uncle, Edward Miera, many other relatives and friends.
Rosary was recited on Friday, October 27, 2006. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, October 28, 2006. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco cemetery.

Gilberto Vargas
October 24, 2006
Gilberto C. Vargas, 77, of Des Montes passed away on October 24, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife, Stella Vargas, parents, Gilberto and Herminda, brother, Frank and sister, Clorinda. He is survived by his children, Dorotea, Roger (Rose Mary), Carlos (Theresa) all of Des Montes, Patsy (Nick Jaramillo) of Arroyo Hondo and Stephanie (Paul) of Des Montes. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sisters and brother, Luisa Marquez of Rio Rancho, Julian Vargas (Amelia) of Bayard, Amelia Davis (Zarro) of Las Cruces, Teresa Martinez of Pueblo, CO and many other relatives.
Rosaries were recited on Thursday, October 26, 2006 and Friday, October 27, 2006 at Holy Trinity Parish in Arroyo Seco. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Holy Trinity Parish. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco cemetery.

Joseph Edwin Ortiz
Died October 26, 2006
Joseph "Joe" Edwin Ortiz, 62, of Albuquerque and formerly of Taos, was born in Embudo, NM on January 24, 1944 to E.B. & Ofelia Ortiz. Joe was the fourth son and the seventh of eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces, Jane Ann Ortiz and Tammy Velasquez. He is survived by his two daughters, Jolene (Brandon) and Vanessa (Martin), former wife, Betty Mares, his brothers, Orlando (Ruby), Art (Marilyn), Ted (Cecilia), and sisters, Sadie Knight, Lucille Olds (Wally), Margaret Werner (Bob), Anna Marie Velasquez and his special friends, Steve Sanchez and Tommy Velasquez, also know as his "bros". Joe was a Taos High School graduate of 1962 and later graduated from the University of New Mexico. He loved the outdoors and worked for the forest service for a while. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and cutting firewood with his buddies. Joe was quiet but had a unique sense of humor. He was well liked by everyone young and old. Joe worked at the family business, Granada Furniture with his sister, Anna Marie. He became manager when she moved to Albuquerque, then in the year 2000 he moved to Albuquerque also. He was a loving father to both Jolene and Vanessa and was extremely proud of them. He enjoyed seeing family at the Ortiz reunion in August of 2006. He was happy to have Jolene and Vanessa beside him. Joe was loved and will be greatly missed.
Rosary was recited on October 29, 2006. Funeral mass was held on October 30, 2006. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Interment was held at Sierra Vista cemetery.

Carlos "Charlie" Mondragon
Died October 28, 2006
Carlos "Charlie" Mondragon, 67, of Llano Quemado passed away on October 28, 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Faye Mondragon, brothers, Bonifacio and Daniel Mondragon. He is survived by his children, Lupita Mondragon, Patsy Torres (Jessie), Joy Mondragon, Gene Mondragon, Valorie Mondragon (David) and Carlos Mondragon Jr., sisters, Maxine Baca (Martin), Barbara Mondragon, Roberta Romero (Daniel), 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Rosary was recited on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Funeral mass was held on Wednesday, November 01, 2006. Both services were held at San Francisco de Asis Church. Interment was held at the New Llano Quemado cemetery.

Duby Abeyta Martinez
Died October 28, 2006
Eduvigen Martinez, 77, of Costilla passed away on October 28, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Juan Martinez, daughter, Mary Abeyta Eleas of Santa Fe, sister, Mary Chavez of Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Rosary was recited on Friday, November 03, 2006 at Rivera Hanlon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, November 04, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla. Interment was held at Las Cruces cemetery in Taos.

Shirley Bogs
November 1, 2006
Shirley Bogs, 87, died peacefully on November 1, 2006, at her home in Des Montes. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 25, 1919, to George and Meta Nolte Bogs. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and received at Masters in Spanish from Middlebury College. Shirley had a long career teaching Spanish in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ecuador and at Highland Park High in Illinois. She loved her German Shepherd dogs, and to travel, read, discuss politics and garden. She resided in Taos for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Audrey Heckner. She is survived by her companion Joanie Donnelly, brother George (Joyce) Bogs, and nieces Kathryn Heckner Simpson, Margaret Heckner, Christine Bogs Pantry, Sally Bogs Alcazar and Susan Bogs Metzler. Honoring Shirley's commitment to community and service, please send any memorials to Mountain Home Health Care, PO Box 2566, Taos, NM 87571. We will celebrate Shirley's life at her home on Saturday, November 11, from 1 to 4 PM.

Sally Bohrer Brown

Sally Kay Bohrer Brown, 47, of Llano Quemado passed away on November 01, 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Betty Bohrer and her husband Anthony Brown. She is survived by her sister, Janet M. Bohrer.

Laura Cordova

Laura Cordova, 66, of Penasco passed away on November 03, 2006. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Frankietta Gonzalez and her parents, Gomisindo and Prudencia Cordova. She is survived by her grandson, Jeremy J. Gonzalez of Penasco granddaughter, Camille Fulton of Ohio, sisters, Celestina Medina of Albuquerque, Mary Tafoya of Leadville, CO, Clusora Cordova of Nambe, CO, brother, Candelario Cordova of Minturn, CO, numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Rosary was recited on November 04, 2006 at San Antonio de Padua in Penasco. Funeral masswas held November 05, 2006 at San Antonio de Padua. Interment followed at the Llano Catholic cemetery.

William E. Reifsnyder
Died November 3, 2006
William E. Reifsnyder, Ph.D., 82, of Lama passed away on November 03, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marylou Reifsnyder. He is survived by his son, Gawain Reifsnyder and wife, Stephanie of Tennessee, daughters, Rita M. Hall and Cheryl Lama both of Lama, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial service was held on Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Lama Firehouse.

Lois Claire Ebert

Lois Claire Ebert, 75, of Talpa passed away on November 05, 2006. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ebert in 1998. She is survived by her sons, Steve Ebert (Debra Weyerman) of Florida, Ken M. Ebert and David Ebert both of Talpa and sister, Jane Martin of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mary Baca Olguin
November 7, 2006
Mary Baca Olguin, 86, of Taos passed away on November 07, 2006. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Olguin, parents, Jose & Adela Baca, brothers, Leopoldo, Alfonso, Ruben and Alex. She is survived by her sisters and brother, Emma Baca Zamora (Estevan) of Albuquerque, Joe Baca of Santa Fe, and Erlinda Armijo of Albuquerque and many other relatives.
Rosary was recited on November 09, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass was held November 10, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at Las Cruces cemetery in Taos.

Jose Daniel Cordova
November 9, 2006
Jose Daniel Cordova, 74, of Tucamcari formerly of Arroyo Seco, passed away on November 09, 2006 in Lubbock, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felimon and Isabel Cordova, his brothers, Alex, Claudio and Cristino Cordova. He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Sandoval, of Albuquerque, sister, Angelica Cordova of Tucamcari and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on November 13, 2006 at Rivera Chapel. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco cemetery.

Rodney "Duke" Duquette
Died November 13, 2006
Rodney "Duke" Duquette Jr., 74, of Taos passed away on November 13, 2006. He was a Air Force veteran. He was a 27 year employee of Shell Oil Company. Duke and Patricia were parents at Casa de Corazon in Taos. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Duquette. He is survived by his children, Bruce Duquette (Gisele), Michelle Peterson (Dan), Bryan Duquette (Kerri) and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 10 AM at Rivera Chapel. Interment was held at Las Cruces cemetery in Taos.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Duke's name may be made to Casa de Corazon, P.O. Box KK, Taos, NM 87571.

Zora Kohler-Rausch
Died November 18, 2006
Zora Kohler-Rausch, 81, of Red River passed away on November 18, 2006. She owned K-R Business Services in Red River. She is survived by her son, Mario Kohler-Rausch (Diane), grandsons, Paul and Michael.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
