HENRY GRANT JR., 75, of Ocate died Thursday at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. He was born in Taos. He was married to Margaret LeDoux in 1950. At the time of his death, he was employed by the J.D. Montoya Ranch in Ocate as a logger and rancher. He loved to garden, take care of his animals and watch western movies. He enjoyed spending time out in the wilderness and with his family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ocate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Emelina Grant; one brother; five sisters; and an infant son. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Grant of the family home in Ocate; children, Floyd Grant Sr. and wife Corine of Taos, Priscilla Grant of Las Vegas, N.M., Gilbert Grant and wife Berlinda of Denver, Marie Johansen and husband Eric and Harold Grant and wife Shirl, all of Houston; nine grandchildren; nephew raised as a brother, Johnny LeDoux of Cimarron; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ocate. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Ocate Cemetery. ELIZARDO GURULE, 64, of Taos died Thursday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaido and Amalia Gurule; and brother, Roberto Gurule. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gurule; children, Lawrence, Valerie and husband Lorin Cisneros, and Galen Gurule; six grandchildren; sisters, Eliza Atencio and Elsie Trujillo and husband Richard, all of Pueblo, Colo.; brother, Jose Avaristo Gurule and wife Christina of Velarde; and many other relatives. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rivera Chapel. JOHNNY P. LUCERO, 42, of Espaņola died Monday after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Laura Lucero. He was an outgoing person who loved his low rider cars and dog Houche, who preceded him in death. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Veda Lucero of Espaņola; daughters, Santanita Lucero and Juanita Lucero, both of Espaņola, and Amanda Duran and husband Juan of San Pedro; granddaughter, Cameron Duran of San Pedro; close nephew, Raymond Sandoval of Santa Cruz; sisters, Michelle Sandoval and husband Raymond of Santa Cruz, Lori Ann Martinez and husband Paul of Espaņola; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espaņola, followed by a 4 p.m. service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the same chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada in Santa Cruz with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. JOE E. RENDON, 83, of Espaņola died Monday after a long illness. He was retired from the Zia Company in Los Alamos. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose C. Rendon; brother, Manuel Rendon and stepson, John Salazar. He is survived by his sister, Rosita Lovato of Espaņola; brother, Tranquilino Rendon of Kearny, Ariz.; stepchildren, Paul Gonzales and wife Annabelle of El Guique, Frances Salazar of Espaņola, Wilbur Salazar and wife Carmen of El Llano, Mary Peņa and husband Lamos of Grants and Ben Salazar of Albuquerque; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home followed by a rosary to be recited at 3 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espaņola with burial to follow at 1 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. LENA SALAZAR, 81, died Wednesday in Texas. She was a retired federal government employee for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Washington, D.C. She was a former resident of Temple Hills, Md. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwardo and Patrosinia Salazar; sisters, Mabel Salazar, Lillian S. Madred, Emma S. Sanchez, Lucille Martinez; and brothers, Frank and Edwardo Salazar Jr. She is survived by her sons, Philip A. Streib and wife Mary Jo of Benbrook, Texas, Terry E. Streb and wife Lisa of Columbia, Md.; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Ernestine S. Suazo of Sacramento, Calif. Strong-Throne Mortuary.

BARBARA BRADLEY THOMPSON, 64, of Taos died March 31. She is survived by her children, Erin Stowell and wife, Wendy Stowell of North Carolina, Alexis Ilya Larrick and husband, Edward Nunez of California, Christian Thompson and wife, Paola Ponassi of Italy; one grandson; and sister, Brenda Wallace, of Washington. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at San Geronimo Lodge with burial to follow at Sierra Vista Cemetery. DONALDO B. ARCHULETA, 70, of the Espaņola Valley died unexpectedly Thursday.
He was born in Los Ojos. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, as well as in the U.S. Air Force. He owned and operated the Credit Bureau of Espaņola along with his daughters Victoria and Karyne since 1967. He was a longtime Espaņola city councilor and mayor pro tem, an Espaņola volunteer firefighter, a land developer and founder and chairman of the Board of El Pueblo State Bank, which is now Community Bank.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose R. Archuleta, and sister, Louisa A. Martinez.
He is survived by his wife, Martha J. Archuleta of the family home, daughters, Victoria A. Jones of Rio Rancho and Karyne L. Archuleta of Espaņola; son, D. Tomas Archuleta and wife Carmella L. Archuleta of Espaņola; mother, Rosa P. Archuleta of Espaņola; four grandchildren; sisters, Irene Martinez and husband Clarence of Espaņola and Vicenta Martinez and husband Leo of Leadville, Colo.; brother, Cippie Archuleta and wife Martha of Espaņola; and many other relatives.
A visitation will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espaņola. Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Espaņola with burial to follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

MARGARET GILMORE, 80, of Santa Fe died suddenly Tuesday.
She was born in Ireland, the daughter of Thomas and Nora Nyland. She married Thomas Gilmore in 1948 in County Mayo, Ireland. She was employed by Morgan Guarantee Company of New York for 25 years in multiple positions, retiring as a securities clerk. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Parish of the Bronx, N.Y., and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at the time of her death. She thoughtfully stayed in touch with family and friends with letters and phone calls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gilmore.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Gilmore; daughter, Maureen Burns and husband Joseph; granddaughter, Eileen Burns; sister, Nan Dolman and husband Tom of Canada; and many other relatives from Ireland, Canada, England and the United States.
A visitation will be held at noon Monday, followed by a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

TERESITA MAESTAS, 75, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday at an Albuquerque hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Maestas.
She is survived by her children, Rey and Joanie Maestas of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary Maestas of Milton, Vt., Ben Maestas of Las Vegas, N.M., Elsie Maestas Blumer of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Nanette Arellano of Aurora, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Della Rodriguez, Jimmy Rodriguez, Cleo Lucero, and Stella Garcia; and many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at noon at Las Manuelitas Cemetery.

PAUL D. "PUMPS" QUINTANA, 59, of Fairview died at home Thursday of congestive heart failure.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Quintana; daughter, Melissa Quintana; father, Esquipula Quintana; and brother, Henry Quintana.
He is survived by his wife, Elizaida Sally Quintana; daughters, Sally Gallegos and husband Gary of El Llano, Pauline Stephens of Santa Cruz and Darlene Sandoval and husband Frank of El Llano; sons, Jeff Quintana and wife Bernadette of Santa Clara and Leonard Quintana of Fairview; and mother, Macedonia Quintana of La Puebla.
A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Santa Cruz de la Caņada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
