Marshall Klier
Services have been held for Marshall Klier, 91, who passed away Dec. 7 in Pahrump.
He was born Nov. 11, 1913 in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to Pahrump in 1997 coming from Garden Grove, Calif. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather.
His wife Helen Klier of Pahrump; sons Thomas (Joann) Klier of California and Marshall (Janet) Klier, Jr. of Oregon; daughter Mary (Bruce) Paskvan of Nevada; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild survive him.

Charlotte Kremer
Charlotte Kremer, 64, passed away Dec. 10 in Pahrump. A celebration of life will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 1 at 7781 Mahalo in Pahrump.
She was born Nov. 14, 1940 in Hawaii and moved to Pahrump in 1976 coming from Maui.
She worked in the real estate industry and loved her family and friends.
Her husband Ivan Kremer of Pahrump, and sons Ivan (Lisa) Kremer and Bryan A. Kremer, survive her.

Grant Whitford
Private family services will be held for Grant Freeman Whitford, 92, who passed away Dec. 13 in Las Vegas.
He was born July 17, 1912 in Providence, R.I., and moved to Pahrump in 1997 coming from California. He was a member of Skip's Co-Ops.
His wife Gay Arlene Whitford of Pahrump; sons Donald Whitford, Greg Whitford, Dana Whitford, all of California, and Keith Whitford of Arizona; daughters Carol Nelson of Washington, Jennifer Shumar and Denise Szczech, both of California; and 22 grandchildren survive him.

Arthur Adair
A memorial service for Dr. Arthur Joseph (A.J.) Adair, 81, who died Dec. 29, will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 11 at his residence in Pahrump.
He was born Feb. 4, 1922 in Minneapolis and was a resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a doctor of chiropractics and orthopedics. He practiced in Los Angeles, Tecopa and, in his later years, El Cajon, Calif.
He moved to Tecopa in the 1950s, and while practicing there, he founded Lyle's Tecopa Hot Springs. He was also instrumental in bringing electricity to Tecopa and Pahrump. He retired in 1988.
He loved his family, life and was a walking book of knowledge on most subjects. Many will miss him.
His wife Sylvia of Pahrump; daughters Cheryl Funez of Chino, Calif., and Linda Penna of Tustin, Calif.; three granddaughters; three grandsons; and six great grandchildren survive him.

Donna Chitty
Private family services will be held in North Carolina at a later date for Donna A. Chitty, 49, who died Dec. 31 in Pahrump.
She was born Oct. 4, 1954 in New Jersey and was a 14-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas. She worked in data entry.
Her husband Leroy of Pahrump; daughters Amanda Chitty, Miguela Chitty, both of Pahrump, and Janilee Chitty of Maryland; son Damien Chitty of Pahrump; mother Ann Conner of Maryland; three sisters in New Jersey; and two grandchildren survive her.

Dorothy Garcia
Services for Dorothy M. Garcia, 77, who died Jan. 3 in Pahrump, will be held at a later date.
She was born Sept. 25, 1926 in Dallas and was a resident of Pahrump. She was a homemaker.
Her husband Robert of Pahrump; sons Robert J. Garcia of Stockton, Calif., and David A. Garcia of Lodi, Calif.; daughter Caroline Rojas of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive her.

Robert Yager
Services have been held for Robert E. Yager, 77, who died Jan. 1 in Las Vegas.
He was born May 15, 1926 in Cadillac, Mich., and was a resident of Pahrump for eight years.
He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and retired from Wackenhut as a security officer.
His daughters Erline Kay (Larry) Burton of Cadillac, Mich. and Roberta (Bobbie) Malone of Pahrump; sons Gregory Allan Yager of Oakdale, La. and Bradley P. (Elizabeth) Yager of Pahrump; sisters Dorothy (Elmer) Brannan of Cadillac, Adeline (Wayne) Ware of Reed City, Mich., Shirley Sharp of Lawton, Mich., and Patsy (H.C.) Barber of Flint, Mich., brother Herb (Evelyn) Yager of Cadillac; many nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive him.
His wife, Joyce E. Yager, and parents George W. and Violet R. Yager preceded him in death.

Herman Caudill
Services have been held for Herman W. Caudill, 64, who died Jan. 3 in Las Vegas.
He was born June 4, 1939 in Kentucky. He was a resident of Pahrump for three years and a previous resident of Las Vegas for six years.
He served in the U.S. Marines and was a Christian.
His wife Lora of Pahrump; daughter Brenda (Bill) Caudill-Kirkland of Pahrump; son Jim Caudill of Las Vegas; sisters Rosemary Egleston, Kathy Weatherwax and Gerry Gibson, all of Ohio; brother Henry Blankenship of Missouri; and five grandchildren survive him.
Roman Lash
No services will be held for Roman Lash, 79, who died Dec. 10 in Pahrump.
He was born July 5, 1924 in Czechoslovakia and was a resident of Pahrump since 1999, coming from Long Beach, Calif.
He worked as a salesman for Almadin until his retirement in 1989.
A Catholic, he enjoyed many pleasures including the ocean and books.
His longtime companion, Margaret Barnett of Pahrump; and friends Janet Beard of Pahrump; Joe Barnett of Henderson and Dianne Steele of Alaska survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Daryll Walker
Private family services will be held for Darryl B. Walker, 45, who died Jan. 5 in Pahrump.
He was born Jan. 29, 1958 in Trenton, N.J., and was a resident of Pahrump for six months, coming from Georgia.
He worked as a plumber and was a Christian.
His wife Tamara of Pahrump; daughters Amber, Sandra, Shannon and Catlyne; sons David and Gregory; parents Richard and Elizabeth; brothers Richard Jr., Robert and Frederick; and one grandchild survive him.

Byron Pixley
Memorial services for Byron Pixley, who died Jan. 1 in Oregon, will be held at noon today at the Masonic Lodge No. 54 with Pastor Dick Bauer presiding.
He was born in Phoenix, Ariz., and served in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman in the South Pacific during World War II.
He moved to Las Vegas in May 1957 and was known as "Andy the milkman" while employed at Anderson Dairy. He retired from the insurance industry in 1976 and moved to Pahrump.
He was a lifelong Free Mason, a member of the Oasis Lodge No. 41 in Las Vegas, past monarch of Chaman Grotto, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of Zelzah Shrine, Pahrump Lodge No. 54 and Weepah Shrine Club.
His son Dan Pixley of Las Vegas; daughters Donna Sharp of Pahrump and Lynn Cameron of Turner, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Zelzah Shrine Transportation Fund.

Marlene Magruder
Services for Marlene Lee Gardner Magruder, 66, who died Jan. 5 in Las Vegas, will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 111 Clay Street, Ashland, Ore. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford, Ore.
She was born Dec. 9, 1937 in Ashland, Ore. to Albert and Helen (Mansfield) Gardner. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1955 and attended Beauty College in Medford.
She moved from the Rogue Valley in the late 1950s and became a mortgage broker in Mt. Vernon, Wash.
She married
Radford Magruder on Nov. 8, 1998 in Ashland. She lived in Pahrump for the past five years.
Her husband Radford of Pahrump; sons David Tuff and Michael Tuff, both of Mt. Vernon, and Ronald Tuff of Sequim, Wash.; mother Helen Gardner of Pahrump; brother Marvin (Shirley) Gardner of Rexburg, Idaho; sister Dorothy (Jim) Jordan of Hemiston, Ore.; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.
Her father, Albert, preceded her in death in 1989.
