Albert Cannon
Interment for Albert M. Cannon, 72, who died Feb. 20 in Pahrump, will be held at 11:20 a.m. Monday at the Southern Nevada Veterans cemetery. A memorial service will be held April 10 in St. George, Utah.
He was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Utah and was a 17-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He served for five years in the U.S. Navy and worked as a foreman at the Nevada Test Site until his retirement 12 years ago.
He belonged to the VFW and was a member of the LDS church.
His wife Beverly of Pahrump; daughter Kerry (Dale) Brimley of California; sons Andy Bolander and Kelly Bolander, both of Utah; brothers Clare Cannon and Paige Cannon of Utah; sister Karen Frei of Utah; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive him.

Joseph Battaglia
Services have been held for Joseph N. Battaglia, 79, who died Feb. 17 in Mahwah, N.J.
He was born Oct. 7, 1924 in Brooklyn, and was a resident of Mahwah and a former resident of Pahrump.
He was the Western Regional Director of U.S. Catholic Conference, Migration and Refugee Services, retiring after 25 years of service to the church overseas and in the U.S.
He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. In 1961 he established a Food for Peace program in El Salvador and helped develop medical clinics and other Caritas projects there. In 1963 a group of Christian workers traveled to El Salvador to help Joe set up clinics, English classes and school dispensaries, and perform construction work such as building huts for the local people.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Pahrump and served on the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities in Nevada.
His sister Helen Vinti of Allendale, N.J., and many cousins, nieces and nephews survive him. (2/20/04)
Donald Johnson
Private family services have been held for Donald Elmer Johnson, 68, who died Feb. 10 in Pahrump.
He was born April 19, 1935 in Great Falls, Mont., and lived in Pahrump since 1999, coming from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in the gaming industry in Las Vegas.
He was an avid handball player and held champion status. He loved baseball, his friends and family.
His sister Sally (Gill) Garcia of Texas; brother Derald Dorlarque of Montana; and cousins June (Bill) Showen and Carol Massman, both of Montana, survive him.

Amelia Reynolds
Services for Amelia M. Reynolds, 26, who died Feb. 24 in Las Vegas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the LDS chapel.
She was born July 27, 1977 in Las Vegas and lived in Pahrump for 11 years. She was a graduate of Pahrump Valley High School.
Her parents Bobby and Jessie Reynolds; brother Cody Reynolds; sisters Laura Maynord, Tammy Sharron, Kimberly Wimberly and Stacey Bansback; and grandmother Helen Cardon survive her.
Her sister Rachel Renee Reynolds and Beau West preceded her in death. (2/24/04)
Georgina Huss
No services will be held for Georgina R. Huss, 89, who died Feb. 18 in Las Vegas.
She was born Jan. 30, 1915 in Virginia and was a resident of Pahrump for nine years, coming from Illinois.
She worked as a nurse's aide until her retirement and was of the Protestant faith.
Her son Howard Van Huss of Pahrump; sisters Hazel Powell and Katherine Scott, both of Virginia; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive her.
Her parents preceded her in death.

Joseph Cuozzo Jr.
Services for Joseph Cuozzo, Jr., 64, who died Feb. 23 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Escapees Park in Pahrump.
He was born May 9, 1939 in New York and was a 14-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
He served in the U.S. Navy and then worked as an attorney.
His wife Joan of Pahrump; son Thomas Joseph of California; brothers Michael Cuozzo of California and Marco Cuozzo of New York; and six grandchildren survive him.
His parents preceded him in death.

Harold Dolan
Services have been held for Harold Alvin "Red" Dolan, 74, who died Feb. 25 in Pahrump.
The son of Benjamin Edward Dolan and Blanche Elizabeth Morisch, he was born Feb. 23, 1930 in Boone County, Neb. He married
Jane Ellen Ridgeway on July 26, 1952.
Harold worked at various jobs while attending public schools in Omaha, Neb. In July 1948, he reported for work in a clerical position with the Navy Department in Washington, D.C., leading to a career of more than 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He retired from active duty Aug. 31, 1979, when he and his wife settled in Pahrump for their retirement years.
He was active in the community for over 24 years and in the VFW, serving as commander of the post. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, receiving the honor of Red Rose, and the Mason Lodge, where he achieved the honor of Grand Master.
His daughters Catherine (Joseph) Kleinschmidt, Janet (Ray) Gibbons, and Trisha Dolan; son Michael (Judy) Dolan; brothers Marvin (Harriet) Dolan, Paul (Donna) Dolan, Richard (Gail) Dolan, Ronald (Patti) Dolan, and Thomas (Bonnie) Dolan; sister Maxine (DeEmmett) Zerbe; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive him.
His beloved wife Jane, his parents, sister Annie Webb and brother Leroy Dolan preceded him in death.

Robert Werner
Services for Robert (Bobby) E. Werner, 32, who died Jan. 19 in Shoshone, Calif., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Pahrump Family Mortuary chapel.
He was born Nov. 29, 1971 in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. He was a resident of Shoshone and Pahrump since 1976, and graduated from Death Valley High School in 1991.
From the family: As long as there is one heart on Earth where I still live, my memory will not die.
Donations of flowers are appreciated but those wishing to may donate blood in Bobby's name.
His wife Mary Werner of Shoshone; daughter Jeannie Werner; sons Johnathon Werner, Robert Werner and Thomas Werner; mother Anna K. Jane Sieger
A memorial service for Jane Sieger, 85, who died Feb. 17 in Las Vegas, will be held at 1 p.m. April 3 at the Pahrump Community Church, 1061 E. Wilson Road, with Pastor Dick Bauer presiding.
She was born Jane Regna Gregory on April 5, 1918 in Lincoln, Ill., and married
Frank Sieger in 1970. She was a member of the Pahrump Community Church.
Her husband Frank; daughters Alice Kathryn Dibler Gibson and Alta Carolyn Dibler Hester, both of California; son Allan DeWitt Dibler of Nevada; stepdaughter Margaret Lynn Sieger Rickard; four grandsons; and three great grandchildren survive her.

John Mayfield
No services will be held for John Mayfield, 87, who died March 1 in Summerlin.
He was born March 3, 1916 in Dillon, Mont., and was a resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, and worked as a general contractor in the construction industry until his retirement.
His wife Verla of Pahrump; daughter Marcia (Tom) Hill of Pahrump; brother Jerry B. Mayfield of Parker, Ariz., and John B. (Janice) Mayfield of Billings, Mont.; grandchildren Jeff, James, Lorrie, Julie, Joni, Joe, John and Desiree; and 11 great grandchildren survive him.
