Natalie Watson

Services for Natalie A. Watson, 74, who died May 29 in Pahrump, will be held at 3 p.m. today at the LDS Church on Wilson Road.

She was born April 22, 1930 in Philadelphia. She worked for the IRS in Ogden, Utah, where she retired. She and her husband, Francis, moved to Pahrump seven years ago.

She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be missed dearly.

Her husband Francis Richard Watson of Pahrump; daughters Joanne Townsend of Ogden and Patricia Buatte of Pahrump; son Richard Watson of Sault St. Marie, Mich.; sister Marian Sorocca of Philadelphia; grandchildren Jennifer, Brandi, Jaycob, Tricia, Steven, Frank and Lori; and great grandchildren Caden, Jay and Chandler, survive her. Frank Naser

Frank Shannon Naser, 79, died May 29 in Las Vegas. Visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main, Las Vegas, from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, with services to follow. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Palm Memorial Park.

He was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Washington, Pa. He was a 41-year resident of Las Vegas and a former resident of Amargosa Valley for 10 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and then worked as an electrician until his retirement.

He was a member of the Four Degree Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the American Legion, the IBEW Electrical Workers Union and the Southern Nevada Blue Grass Association.

His daughters Mary Lee Cooper of Las Vegas and Becky Thomas of Granite Falls, Wash.; son Leo Naser of Las Vegas; sisters Charlotte Greene of Andover, Ohio and Donna Puff of Enderlin, N.D.; brothers Roy Naser and Cletus Naser, both of Washington, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren, survive him.

Violet Koeser

Services are pending for Violet Marie Koeser, 86, who died May 27 in Las Vegas.

She was born May 20, 1918 in Kearney, Neb., and was a 12-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Lakeview, Ore.

She enjoyed fishing and creative expression through crafts.

Her husband Ray Koeser of Pahrump; sons Gary Lee of Butte Falls, Ore., Larry Lee of Waldport, Ore., Larry Koeser of Olympia, Wash., and Roger Koeser of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; daughters Barbara Sanheo and Janet Koeser, both of Tucson; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren survive her.

Gene Covel

Private family services were held for Gene Kenneth Covel, 75, who died May 23 in Pahrump.

He was born April 27, 1929 in Staples, Minn., and was a 21-year resident of Pahrump.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 357 until retiring from the Test Site. He also worked for Pan Am Airlines, was a loan officer, boarder office and movie manager.

His wife Susan of Pahrump; daughters Trudy Rauto of Minnesota, Karen Covel and Lisa Covel, both of San Diego, and Natalie Mitchell of Pahrump; son Nickolas Mitchell of Fresno, Calif.; and grandchild Kyleigh S. Barney survive him.

Desert Memorial handled the arrangements. (5/23/04).

Theresa Queenan

Visitation for Theresa J. Queenan, 69, who died June 4 in Las Vegas, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will follow at 1 p.m.

She was born Oct. 17, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Pahrump 14 years ago from Virginia Beach, Va.

She was a member of Moose Lodge 808 for 14 years and was of the Catholic faith.

Her son Robert M. (Robyn) Queenan of Virginia Beach; daughters Theresa M. Queenan of Virginia Beach and Patricia A. (John) Johnson of Pahrump; sisters Jennie Releya of Virginia Beach, Lucy Greene and Emma Tambarino, both of Brooklyn; and six grandchildren survive her.

Juanita Squires

No local services were held for Juanita E. Squires, 99, who died June 1 in Las Vegas.

She was born July 8, 1904 in Harrisonville, Mo., and was a 13-year resident of Pahrump.

Her daughters Delores Demours of Phoenix and Norma Start of Pahrump; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren survive her.

Her husband, Floyd Squires Sr., and a son, Floyd Squires Jr., preceded her in death. (6/1/04)

Anna Mitchell

Visitation for Anna Sue Mitchell, 81, who died June 3 in Pahrump, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held before the service at 1 p.m.

She was born April 24, 1923 in Latrobe, Pa., and moved to Pahrump one year ago from Lompoc, Calif.

She worked as an executive secretary for the government until retiring in 1976. She was of the Catholic faith.

Her daughters Allyson Woodbyrne of California and Cynthia Smiley of Nevada; son Martin Mitchell of Washington; brothers John Labuda, Martin Labuda and Matthew Labuda, all of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive her.

Her husband, mother and father preceded her in death.

Theresa Queenan

Services have been held for Theresa J. Queenan, 69, who died June 4 in Las Vegas.

She was born Oct. 17, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Pahrump 14 years ago from Virginia Beach, Va.

Louis Fonseca

A memorial service for Louis (Louie) Fonseca, 91, who died June 5 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Temple on Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas. Interment will be in Stockton, Calif.

He was born Nov. 8, 1912 to John and Rose Fonseca in Centerville, Calif., and was a 37-year resident of Pahrump.

He worked as a carpenter and belonged to Carpenters Union Local 1780.

His wife Maxine of Pahrump; daughter Karen Hake of Las Vegas; son J.J. Fonseca of Las Vegas; stepdaughters Mary Gisby and Diana Aragon, both of Las Vegas, and Georgia Bradford of North Carolina; brother Elmer Fernandes of Oregon; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren survive him.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump.

Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements. (6/5/04)

Daniel Jakubauskas

Private family services have been held for Daniel Jakubauskas, 61, who died June 6 in Pahrump.

He was born Feb. 5, 1943 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a 25-year resident of Pahrump coming from California.

He served in the U.S. Army and then worked as a handyman. He belonged to the Moose Lodge and the VFW and was of the Catholic faith.

His brothers Joseph, Anthony and John, all of New York, and sister Margaret (Ray) of New York survive him.

Pyrle Pritchett

Private family services will be held for Pyrle I. Pritchett, 92, who died June 8 in Pahrump.

She was born Oct. 1, 1911 in South Dakota and moved to Pahrump 10 years ago from California.

She worked as an office manager until retiring 30 years ago. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Her son Robert (Lee) Pritchett of Pahrump; grandson Robert Pritchett of Las Vegas; granddaughters Karla (Daniel) Bearden of Las Vegas and Gail (Jesus) Alvarez of California; sister Phylis Sherwood of Arizona; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren survive her.

Jan Leslie

Services were held in Paducah, Kent., for Jan Paul "J.P." Leslie, 70, who died June 12 in Ledbetter, Kent.

Originally from Norris City, Ill., he was a former resident of Las Vegas and Pahrump.

He was the owner and operator of J.P. Fence in Pahrump. He was the past president and founder of SONYCO Lions Club and a charter member of Moose Lodge No. 808 in Pahrump. He was also named Deputy District Governor of District 4N.

His wife of 50 years, Earlene (Bonner) Leslie of Ledbetter; sister Frances Neale of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews survive him.

His parents, Horace Walter Leslie and Helen Frances (Greenley) Leslie, and two brothers preceded him in death.

Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Paducah handled the arrangements. (6/12/04)
