Private family services will be held for Marian Holmes, 63, who died June 10 in Las Vegas.

She was born Oct. 21, 1940 in Whitefish, Mont., and was a resident of Las Vegas for over 30 years.

She worked as a secretary until retiring.

He daughter Louise Mulvey of Pahrump; son Douglas Holmes of Wyoming; brothers Landon and Jimmy McMurdo, both of Washington; and five grandchildren survive her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pyrle Pritchett

Private family services have been held for Pyrle I. Pritchett, 92, who died June 8 in Pahrump.

She was born Oct. 1, 1911 in South Dakota and moved to Pahrump 10 years ago from California.

She worked as an office manager until retiring 30 years ago. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Her son Robert (Lee) Pritchett of Pahrump; grandson Robert Pritchett of Las Vegas; granddaughters Karla (Daniel) Bearden of Las Vegas and Gail (Jesus) Alvarez of California; sisters Phyllis Sherwood of Arizona and Lola Schmidt of South Dakota; and seven great grandchildren survive her.

Watson Patterson

Private family services will be held for Watson Wendell Patterson, 71, who died June 14 in Las Vegas.

He was born March 31, 1933 in Rotterdam, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and then worked as a machinist.

He and his wife owned and worked at Mama's Pizza in Pahrump. He was known as "Papa" to his customers and "Pat" to his family and friends.

His wife Beverly of Pahrump; sons Tom (Margie) French of California, Donn Baxter of New York, Dale (Stephanie) Baxter of Alabama, and Darren (Laurie) Baxter of Pahrump; daughters Betsy (Craig) French of California and Debbie Padilla of Nevada; and brother Royce Patterson survive him.

Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements. (6/14/04)

Stella Davies

Visitation for Stella Vinita Davies, 79, who died June 17 in Las Vegas, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Beatty branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will follow at 1 p.m.

She was born March 17, 1925 in Cortez, Colo., and was a resident of Beatty for six years.

She was employed as kitchen worker for a hospital until retiring. During WWII, she worked as a welder at the shipyard at Terminal Island.

She belonged to the Bingo Club, was an organ donor with the Nevada Donor Network, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her daughters Sandra Faye Quintero of Garden Grove, Calif., Mary Merlene Smith of Las Vegas, Vickie Lauren Allen of Menan, Idaho, Larrikin Roselle Seely of Beatty, Elizabeth Carol Ungruicht of Fallbrook, Calif., and Deborah Ann Williams of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sons Donald Robert Eurich of Beatty, Clifford Lawrence Davies of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and James Matthew Davies of MP Saipan; 26 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild survive her.

Franklin Cooper

Visitation for Franklin R. Cooper, 80, who died June 19 in Las Vegas, will be held from 3-7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 7400 E. Cheyenne Road. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens.

He was born Aug. 7, 1923 in Wendell, Idaho, and was a life-long resident of Pahrump.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was then employed as a steel worker until his retirement.

His wife Edna of Pahrump; sons Frank R. Cooper Jr. and Ronald L. Cooper, both of Las Vegas, David Cooper of Sauk City, Wis., and Arnold Cooper of Pahrump; sisters Elzina Wiley of Orem, Utah, Nevada Jones of Yermo, Calif., and Marietta Carson of Ely; brothers Richard Cooper of St. George, Utah and Ivan Cooper of Overton; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive him.

Phyllis Archer

A memorial service for Phyllis Jean Archer, 76, who died June 19, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.

She was born April 7, 1928 to Gerald and Winona Kesselring of Guthrie Center, Iowa. A homemaker, she was a 33-year resident of Pahrump.

She had a great love for her family and she enjoyed gardening, fishing, square dancing, crocheting and was always ready to travel.

Her husband Roy; sons Dennis (Joan) Archer and Dwaine (Barbara) Archer; daughter Casandra Daniel; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild survive her.

Her parents, two brothers and one son preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adeslon Hospice.

Daniel Selby

Services are pending for Daniel Edward Selby, 3-1/2, who died June 19 in Las Vegas.

He was born Oct. 31, 2000 in Childress, Texas and moved to Amargosa five months ago, coming from Hedley, Texas.

He loved cars, Spongebob Squarepants and any type of races.

His parents Jennifer and Daniel Selby of Amargosa; and grandparents Ed "Paw Paw" and Lucy Good of Amargosa, and Donnie M. Selby of Hedley survive him.

Denise Conway

Memorial services for Denise D. (Roder) Conway, 47, who died June 21 in Las Vegas, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. A reception will be held following the services at the home of Tom Conway, 3550 Sagebrush.

She was born Nov. 11, 1956 in Denver and moved from there to Pahrump five years ago.

She served in the U.S. Air Force and then worked as a Certified Public Accountant. She was a Christian.

Her husband Thomas of Pahrump; stepdaughters Sheila Conway of Pahrump and Shannon Lawson of Denver; sisters Deanice Slone and Pamela Bartle, both of Utah, DeAnn Kominski of Texas and Stephanie Sweney of Florida; brothers Jack Moseley and Kevin Gardner, both of California; and Christopher Moseley of Pennsylvania; father Arthur (Charlotte) Moseley; and stepsisters Karen and Linda Gavin survive her.

Al Breitenbach

A memorial service will be held in California for Al Breitenbach Sr., 98, who died June 22 in Pahrump.

He was born April 20, 1906 in St. Louis, Mo., moved to Pahrump last year from Woodland Hills, Calif.

He received a Bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and then worked as an engineer until retiring 35 years ago.

He belonged to the Lions Club and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

His son Alvin (Ruth) Breitenbach of Pahrump, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive him.

His wife Betty preceded him in death in 2000.

Mildred Doucette

A memorial service for Mildred Louise Doucette, 78, who died June 21 in Las Vegas, will be held at Pahrump Family Mortuary at 1 p.m. today.

She was born June 22, 1925 and was a nine-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Arizona.

She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

Her son Russell (Tammy) of Pahrump, sister Brenda Shiflet of Texas, and one grandchild survive her.

Carlos Ledon

Graveside services for Carlos Ledon, 78, who died June 27 in Henderson, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Viewing will be from 1-2:30 p.m., with a Rosary to follow.

He was born Oct. 26, 1925 in Cuba. A rancher, he was a long-time resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas. He was of the Catholic faith.

His wife Maria A. Ledon of Pahrump; sons Carlos Ledon Echevarria, Jorge Ledon Armas, Fidel Ledon Armas, all of Cuba, and Calixto R. Ledon Diaz of Las Vegas; brother Jose O. Ledon Rodriguez of Cuba; sister Noemi Ledon Rodriguez of Cuba; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren survive him.

Sigrid Simmons

Sigrid "Ziggy LaFoon" Simmons, 57, died June 14.

She was born July 14, 1946, and was a longtime resident of Pahrump.

Her mother Gerda of Germany; sisters Osla of Germany and Gerlinda of Kentucky; daughter Michelle, son Roger (Edy), and their father Len LaFoon; grandchildren Jerod, Bryce, Savannah, Abby Ray and Mariah; and five nieces and nephews survive her.

From the family: She was a lovely lady and will be dearly missed by her family and very large extended family.
