Howard Norton
Visitation for Howard B. (Pete) Norton, 85, who died July 6 in Las Vegas, will be held from 1-3 p.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will follow from 3-4 p.m.
He was born Aug. 1, 1918 in New Jersey and moved to Pahrump in 1992 from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 29 years, retiring as a Colonel, and worked as a pilot. He was a member of the Moose, the Elks and the VFW.
His wife Marie Norton of Pahrump; daughters Sylvia of Texas and Dianne of New Mexico; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive him.
His first wife preceded him in death.

Kenneth Brown
Private family services will be held for Kenneth Brown, 66, who died June 30 in Pahrump.
He was born Aug. 11, 1937 in Arkansas. He was a resident of Pahrump for four years coming from Houston, Texas, and worked as a supervisor in the construction industry.
His wife Lynn of Pahrump; daughter Kenna-Beth of Texas; sons Brice, Curtis and Terry, all of Texas; and five grandchildren survive him.

Anthony Bellomo
Private family services have been held for Anthony J. Bellomo, 57, who died June 19 in Las Vegas.
He was born June 19, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pa., and was a resident of Pahrump for three years.
He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War and was a retired iron worker.
His wife Rachel of Pahrump; children Anthony Jr. and David Spragg-Bellomo, Ryan Bellomo, Kelly and Alex Garza, and Cathy Bellomo; stepchildren Sheila Neria, Juanita Neria and Jeremy Baca; grandchildren Mario Bellomo and Ray Justo Macias; father John Bellomo; mother Ora Merryman; and nephew Michael Esser survive him. Gaila Davis
A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends of Gaila Anne Davis, 48, who passed away July 5 in Pahrump.
She was born Sept. 2, 1955 in San Fernando, Calif., and moved to Pahrump from Washington State over four years ago.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a homemaker.
Her significant other Ron Coleman of Pahrump; daughters Steffanie (Art) Colvig of Tucson, Ariz., and Amanda (Waylon) Jones of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Cheyanne and Patrick Jones of Denton; parents Esther and Charles Schmidt of Burbank, Calif.; sisters Malia Coulter of Oxnard, Calif., and Cynthia Brainard of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and brother Charles Schmidt of Burbank, Calif., survive her.
Her husband Ronald Davis preceded her in death in November 1999.

Anita Jenkins
A celebration of life for Anita Ruth Jenkins, 63, who died July 10 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Neptune Society chapel, 720 Buol Lane.
She was born Dec. 29, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas. She moved to Pahrump in 1995 coming from Las Vegas, where she had lived since 1987.
A homemaker, she was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith.
Her husband Alton Jenkins of Pahrump; son Russell (Karen) Jenkins of Pahrump; daughter Linda Wilson of Pahrump; grandchildren Wesley Wilson, Brian Jenkins and Kristina Jenkins; brothers Billy Don Bybee, Ronald Bybee and Darrell Bybee, all of Texas; and sisters Lee Davidson and Dee Hernandez, both of Texas, survive her.

Kathryn VanZuilen
Visitation for Kathryn Mary VanZuilen, 55, who died July 12 in Pahrump, will be held from 5-7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will be held at noon Saturday at Grandview cemetery.
She was born Sept. 30, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Pahrump five months ago coming from Downey, Calif., where she lived for 32 years.
A homemaker she was of the Protestant faith.
Her husband Jim VanZuilen of Pahrump; mother Dorothy Menrad of Pahrump; son James (Christine) VanZuilen of Buena Park, Calif.; daughter Dorothy (Kenn) VanZuilen-Fisher of Downey, Calif.; sisters Gladys Pryor of Irvine, Scotland and Dalsie Sweeney of Bellevue, Neb.; brothers Philip Futch of Bellevue, Wiley Futch and Gerald Pryor, both of Norwalk, Calif.; mother-in-law Sara VanZuilen of Cedarhurst, N.Y.; and five grandchildren survive her.

Private family services will be held for Richard Alan Rupnik, 46, who died July 6.
He was born Oct. 16, 1957 in California and was employed as a postal worker.
His father Donald Rupnik of Pahrump; brother Curtis Rupnik of Montana and sister Mendy Rupnik of Montana, survive him.

Grace Batemon
Visitation for Grace I. Batemon, 87, who died July 11 in Las Vegas, will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Relief Society Room at the LDS Church, 921 E. Wilson Road. Services will follow in the chapel at 11:30 a.m., with interment at Chief Tecopa cemetery.
She was born May 14, 1917 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. A homemaker, she moved to Pahrump in 1955.
Her sons Everett Batemon of Las Vegas and Michael Batemon of Amargosa Valley; daughters Sylvia Bear of Oregon and Barbara Ann Platts of Amargosa Valley; sister Elenor Thompson of Madera, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren survive her.

Richard Hollis
Visitation and viewing for Richard K. Hollis, 39, who died July 17 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Pahrump Church of Christ. Services will follow at noon, with burial directly after at Chief Tecopa cemetery.
He was born June 5, 1965 in Nashville, Tenn., and was a lifelong resident of Pahrump.
A graduate of Pahrump Valley High School, he worked in mobile home delivery and setup. He belonged to the Pahrump Church of Christ and was a loving husband, son and brother.
His wife Laurie of Pahrump; stepdaughters Bobbi Colwell of Pahrump and Laura Howard of Carson City; parents Charles and Jean Hollis of Pahrump; brothers Gary Hollis and Larry Hollis, both of Pahrump; sisters Brenda Reynolds and Linda Beasley, both of Pahrump; aunt Bobbie Nell; three nieces; seven nephews; six great nieces; and four great nephews survive him.

Rose Mary Raetz
Private family services will be held for Rose Mary Ellen Raetz, 89, who died July 16 in Pahrump.
She was born June 18, 1915 in Wheatland, Calif., and moved to Pahrump in 1994 coming from Nevada City, Calif.
A homemaker, she taught 4-H and loved to knit and crochet.
Her sons John (Lee) Raetz of Utah, Cecil (Roberta) Raetz of Arizona, Ronald (Pat) Raetz and Steve (Jackie) Raetz, both of California, and Emil (Melissa) Raetz of Pahrump; daughters Barbara (Bob) Wilson of Nevada and Patricia (Richard) Rose of California; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren survive her.

Halley Buzick
Private services will be held for Halley D. Buzick Jr., 89, who died July 14. He was born Sept. 24, 1914 in Pomona, Calif., and was a lifetime resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as an electrician until his retirement.
His daughter Sandra Davis of Delta, Utah; son Halley Buzick III of Riverside, Calif.; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren survive him.

Edward Kelly
Edward S. Kelly, 61, died July 18 in Las Vegas. A private family visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. today, with public visitation from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the same location.
He was born Oct. 16, 1942 in New York and was a 12-year resident of Pahrump coming from Las Vegas.
He served four years in the U.S. Marines and then worked as a truck driver. He was of the Catholic faith.
His wife Winifred Kelly of Pahrump; sons Edward (Terri) Kelly and Patrick Kelly, both of Pahrump; brother Jim (Meg) Kelly of Georgia; sister Colleen (Joe) D'Inllo of New York; and three grandchildren survive him.
His son Daniel, parents and one brother preceded him in death.
