Joseph Lombardo
Visitation for Joseph Lombardo, 86, who died Aug. 21 in Pahrump, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will follow from noon to 1 p.m.
He was born April 16, 1918 in New York and was a 21-year resident of Pahrump.
He worked as a machinist for Schlitz Brewery before retiring and was a Christian.
His sons Tony (Julie) Lombardo and Steve (Marilyn) Lombardo and many grandchildren and great grandchildren survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Betty Cobb
Viewing for Betty Jane Cobb, 76, who died Aug. 29 in Pahrump, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will follow from 8-8:30 p.m. Interment will be at 10:40 a.m. Thursday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City.
She was born Oct. 29, 1927 in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Pahrump four years ago from Boulder City.
She attended Wayne University in Detroit and worked as a CEO until retiring in 1990. She was of Christian faith.
Her husband Edwin L. Cobb of Pahrump; daughter Sheryl Cork of Pahrump; son Edwin Cobb Jr. of Pahrump; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren survive her.

Charlotte Hill
Private family services will be held for Charlotte Irene Hill, 75, who died Aug. 27 in Pahrump.
She was born Oct. 14, 1928 in Washington state and moved to Pahrump 19 years ago from Henderson.
Her husband Raymond Hill; daughters Adrian Marler of Las Vegas, Terri Flack of Colorado Springs, Colo., Susan Chamberlain of Pahrump, and Kelly Ranniger of Reisterstown, Md.; sons Daniel Blankenship of Henderson and Lane Blankenship of McGill; brothers Marian Root of Fife, Wash. and Donald Root of Lake Isabella, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren survive her.

Wray Koker
Private family services will be held for Wray Koker, 75, who died Aug. 27 in Las Vegas.
He was born July 18, 1929 in Jefferson, Ore., and was a resident of Pahrump since 1981, coming from Las Vegas.
He was a United States Air Force Master Sergeant (retired) and a member of the NCO Air Force Association. He was of Protestant faith.
His wife Anna Koker of Pahrump; son Samuel Wray Koker of Las Vegas; daughters Kay of Washington, Kathryn (Guy) Edwards and Lynda Dawn Koker, both of Las Vegas; brother Ira Dean Koker of Newport, Ore.; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren survive him.

Ray Hendrix
A memorial service for Ray Hendrix, 76, who passed away on Aug. 29 in Las Vegas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Just Country Bar.
He was born July 22, 1928 in Wilson, Okla., to William and Juanita Hendrix.
After serving with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he signed with the Chicago Cubs for a brief time. He later moved to California where he worked as a steel contractor. He retired in 1991, when he moved to Pahrump. As a successful entrepreneur he built and operated several successful businesses.
From the family: He was the friendliest, most caring and giving man to all who had the honor of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.
His wife and soul mate of 35 years, Jean, of Pahrump; sons Dean (Pam) of Pahrump and Richard of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter Linda (Bud) Keith or Ardmore, Okla.; sister Patsy (DeWayne) Blackburn of Wilson, Okla.; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many friends survive him. (8/29/04)
Donald Goucher
Donald Burl Goucher, 71, passed away Sept. 7 in Pahrump. Burial will be in Augusta, Kan. A memorial service in Pahrump is pending.
He was born Jan. 13, 1933 in Oregan, Mo., to Gerald E. Goucher and Ella R. Carr.
He worked in the manufactured housing industry in Pahrump from 1985 until the end of his life. He was vice president of the Pahrump Chamber of Commerce for four years, and spent six years on the Church Council at Faith Fellowship Four Square Church.
His wife Betty of Pahrump; sons Randy Goucher of August, Kan., and Charlie Goucher of Pahrump; stepsons Marcus Padgett of Chicago and Darrell Keppner of Pahrump; daughters Marilyn McClure, Tricia Bassingthwaighte and Connie Mead, all of Augusta, and Donella O'Gorman of Amarillo, Texas; stepdaughter Verna Padgett of Pahrump; brother Lynn Goucher of Kansas; sisters Lois Chance, Bert Alfaro and Kay Hill, all of Kansas; 20 grandchildren (two in Pahrump and 18 in Kansas); and seven great grandchildren (two in Pahrump and five in Kansas), survive him.
His parents Gerald and Ella Goucher, stepfathers Francis Wise and George Blythe, sister Gerry Berger, and two grandsons preceded him in death.

Dorothy Basick
Private family services will be held for Dorothy Basick, 75, who died Sept. 4 in Las Vegas. Interment will take place today at the VA cemetery in Boulder City.
She was born Aug. 26, 1929 in Illinois and moved to Pahrump one year ago from Las Vegas.
A homemaker, she was of the Catholic faith and belonged to St. Frances Wales Church.
Her daughter Mary Trepanier of Pahrump; grandsons Timothy Hanahan, Alex Hanahan, Matthew Hanahan and Scott Trepanier Jr., all of Pahrump; and granddaughter Renee Hanahan of Pahrump, survive her.

Bonnie Burton
Bonnie Faye Burton, 62, passed away Sept. 6 in Amargosa Valley. A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bellflower, Calif.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Oregon. A homemaker, she moved to Amargosa Valley more than a year ago from Apple Valley, Calif.
Her husband Paul H. Burton Sr. of Amargosa Valley; son Paul H. Burton Jr. of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; daughters Debbie S. Burton of Amargosa Valley, Kelly Ann Bohlken of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Christina Lynn Burton of Las Vegas; sister Effie Mayfield of Canyon Lake, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive her.

Muriel Kincaid
Visitation for Muriel E. Kincaid, 95, who passed away Sept. 12 in Pahrump, will be held from 10-11 a.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grandview cemetery.
She was born May 7, 1909 in South Carolina and was a 27-year resident of Pahrump.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Fellowship.
Her husband Earl Kincaid of Pahrump; son Charles R. (Elet) Woodruff of Washington, twin sons Eddy (Beliva) Woodruff and Rudy (Laura) Woodruff, both of Colorado; stepdaughters Lynn Landers of Michigan and Susan Kincaid of California; stepson Ernie of California; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren survive her.
Her son Brian and her parents preceded her in death.

Ireta Strate
Services for Ireta Strate, 96, who died Sept. 13 in Pahrump, will be held from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the LDS Church in Ephraim, Utah.
She was born Dec. 13, 1907 in Manti, Utah and was a six-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
She worked as a school teacher until retiring and belonged to the LDS Church.
Her daughter Karma Rosendahl of Pahrump, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren survive her.
Eugene Peterson and her son Carl preceded her in death.

James Hewes
A memorial service for James R. Hewes, 77, who died Sept. 14, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
He was born Feb. 4, 1927 in Pierceville, Ks. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then worked as a manager at a radio station in Kansas for many years, before moving to Nevada in 1983. He was a 12-year resident of Pahrump and was in manufactured home sales until retiring in 2002.
His wife Carolyn of Las Vegas; daughter Shari Ann of Dodge City, Ks.; son David S. of Eagle Rock, Alaska; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren survive him. (9/14/04)
